With Vita's assistance, the news spread through magical Britain at astonishing speed.
Many of the older Saints members possessed extensive connections throughout the country. The moment they learned what had happened, they immediately began contacting old friends and former associates.
Most of these people didn't hold especially high positions within the Ministry.
But they were influential in their own industries.
Scholars.
Potion masters.
Business owners.
Healers.
Retired Aurors.
And when all of them began questioning the Ministry of Magic simultaneously—
Even the Ministry could no longer ignore the pressure.
…
Far away in Romania, the Weasley family also received news of Lucien's arrest.
The moment Molly Weasley heard the full story, she exploded.
"How dare they?!"
"Lucien's such a good boy!"
"We absolutely cannot let him suffer like this!"
Arthur tried speaking carefully.
"Maybe we should contact Charlie first—"
"What are you talking about?!"
Molly immediately cut him off.
"We're returning to Britain right now!"
"I want to personally ask Scrimgeour what exactly he thinks he's doing!"
Nearby, Ginny nodded furiously despite barely understanding how the Ministry even functioned.
"That's right!"
"We should demand an explanation!"
…
Meanwhile, inside the British Ministry of Magic—
Auror Office.
Lucien sat calmly inside an interrogation room.
His posture remained perfectly relaxed, as though he were sitting inside his own drawing room rather than Ministry custody.
Several Aurors stood nearby watching him nervously, terrified he might suddenly attempt something dangerous.
Bang!
The office door suddenly burst open.
A pink-haired witch wearing a dragon-hide jacket strode directly inside.
"Tonks!"
One Auror nearly panicked.
"What are you doing in here?!"
"The Director ordered that nobody gets close to him!"
Tonks looked at the man as though he had just said the stupidest thing imaginable.
"Dangerous?"
She pointed directly at Lucien.
"Tell me exactly how dangerous an eleven-year-old first-year student can possibly be."
"What terrible crime did he commit?"
"Helping people?"
Without waiting for permission, Tonks walked directly over to Lucien's side.
Then she casually placed several pieces of bread onto the table.
"You hungry?"
"Eat something."
Noticing Lucien's questioning look, Tonks grinned.
"Relax. Nobody poisoned them."
To prove it, she immediately took bites from each piece herself.
Only then did Lucien finally remember who she was.
Nymphadora Tonks.
A Metamorphmagus.
Future member of the Order of the Phoenix.
And eventually Lupin's wife.
Her mother belonged to the Black family, making Bellatrix and Narcissa technically her aunts.
In the future, she would die alongside Lupin during the Battle of Hogwarts.
Lucien never expected to meet her here.
Still…
Given Tonks' rebellious personality and strong sense of justice, helping him honestly wasn't surprising.
"Hurry up and eat," Tonks urged again when Lucien still hadn't touched the bread.
At that exact moment—
The office door slammed open once more.
Scrimgeour stormed inside.
The instant he noticed the bread on the table, his expression exploded with fury.
"Who brought that in?!"
"Who gave permission for food to be delivered?!"
Tonks immediately stepped forward.
"When exactly did the Ministry outlaw children eating bread?"
"He's not a child!" Scrimgeour roared.
"He's a criminal!"
Tonks laughed coldly.
"Oh?"
"What crime?"
"Saving people?"
"Or failing to bribe the Head of the Auror Office?"
"Nymphadora!"
Tonks' face instantly darkened.
"What did you just call me?"
Almost everyone inside the Ministry knew she hated her full name.
The "Nymph" portion sounded dangerously close to certain rude slang terms.
Scrimgeour deliberately using it now was clearly intentional.
"Director, calm down…"
Several Aurors hurriedly intervened before things escalated further.
A female Auror quickly dragged Tonks toward the doorway while others whispered urgently into Scrimgeour's ear.
Lucien couldn't hear everything clearly.
But he still caught fragments.
"…Minister…"
"…outside…"
"…massive commotion…"
A faint smile appeared on Lucien's face.
Public opinion could be ignored temporarily.
But it could never be dismissed entirely.
Once backlash began building seriously, the consequences became impossible to control.
Scrimgeour's expression darkened further.
"The arrest has already happened."
"If we release him now, what happens to the Ministry's reputation?"
Then he turned toward Lucien coldly.
"I have my own plans."
"That's none of your concern."
Dragging over a chair, Scrimgeour sat directly opposite Lucien.
"I suggest you cooperate properly."
"Otherwise, your situation is going to become very unpleasant."
Then he leaned forward slightly.
"Tell me."
"Why exactly did you go to Gringotts today?"
"To help rescue people," Lucien answered calmly.
From the moment he entered the Ministry, he already knew the truth.
They had no evidence whatsoever.
Otherwise, he would've been dragged straight to the Wizengamot already instead of sitting comfortably in an office drinking tea and eating bread.
"Still playing games with me?"
Scrimgeour slammed both hands against the table violently.
His already fierce expression became even more terrifying.
An ordinary first-year wizard might genuinely be frightened.
Unfortunately, Lucien had survived assassination attempts since childhood.
This level of intimidation meant absolutely nothing to him.
"If I'm not mistaken," Lucien said softly, "news of my wrongful arrest has probably already spread throughout Britain."
Then he smiled faintly.
"If I leave the Ministry covered in injuries…"
"What exactly do you think ordinary wizards will believe?"
For the first time since entering the room, Scrimgeour felt a genuine chill crawl down his spine.
It felt as though the boy before him could see through everything.
"You think I can't deal with you?!"
Scrimgeour's eyes became bloodshot.
"Bring me Veritaserum!"
"I refuse to believe the Saints are completely clean!"
The surrounding Aurors turned pale instantly.
"Director!"
One Auror hurriedly stepped forward.
"Please reconsider!"
Veritaserum usage was heavily restricted throughout magical Britain.
In most situations, its use was outright illegal.
And even when used legally, its testimony still couldn't be accepted as definitive evidence.
More importantly—
If word spread that the Ministry used Veritaserum on an eleven-year-old child…
The backlash from Britain's pure-blood families alone would become catastrophic.
After all—
Very few pure-blood families were truly innocent.
If the Ministry crossed this line once, nobody could guarantee it wouldn't happen again.
"Director, if people outside hear about this—"
"They'll tear the Ministry apart!"
"Enough!"
Scrimgeour roared furiously.
"I'll take responsibility myself!"
"This has nothing to do with the rest of you!"
His breathing had already become uneven.
At this point, Scrimgeour was no longer thinking rationally.
He hated evil intensely.
And because of his prejudice against the Saints Group, he had completely convinced himself they were dangerous.
He needed to destroy them.
No matter the cost.
…
Meanwhile—
Several floors above the Auror Office.
Minister Fudge's Office.
The originally quiet floor suddenly erupted into chaos as large numbers of influential witches and wizards flooded the area simultaneously.
Ministry employees attempted to stop them—
And failed completely.
After all, nearly every person present possessed significant influence somewhere in magical Britain.
Nobody wanted to offend them recklessly over a Ministry salary.
Bang!
The office doors burst open violently.
Fudge looked up in irritation—
Only to freeze instantly after hearing the first sentence spoken.
"Minister Fudge."
A middle-aged wizard stepped forward coldly.
"I believe you owe all British wizards an explanation."
"When exactly did the Ministry of Magic become a puppet organization obeying Gringotts goblins?"
