Keifer's Pov
After ending the call with my assistant, I went to freshen up and came back and looked the food which was still untouched on the table, I sat down slowly on the couch, I took the food in my hand and started eating it and without realising it, tears started pouring in my eyes, I don't even know the reason why I was crying, Was it because Jay doesn't love me back or was it because leaving her even when she says I am a part of her life now, or that we will never be able be like how were or this might the last time I am eating food made by her, I don't know what it was but all I knew was I had do it.
after that I decided to pack and took my laptop and did some work which was necessary and after I was done with that, I looked at the time it was already evening,
I let out a huge breathe and closed the laptop and went to get ready, after getting ready, I went to her room once to just take a look at things and left for the venue to see her for one last time and tell her about New York and give her a one last hug and bid bye.
Jay's Pov
I was busy on the arrangement but still wanted to know how Keifer was and texted him multiple times but there was no response, I got tensed but also I wasn't able to leave the venue,
then after sometime around the evening I got a text from him saying, that he is fine now and he is coming to the venue, I felt a little relieved,
and was looking into the work and after some time, I saw him coming and ran towards him, and started checking him by touching his forehead to make sure he is alright,
Jay: "Are you okay? how are feeling now? should we go to the doctor?"
Keifer: "I am fine fine, I am alright now"
Jay: "Thank God, I was worried"
Keifer: "I am good" he said and I smiled at him, and then he started speaking
Keifer: "I have good news for you"
Jay: "Really you?" He gave me a look,
Jay: "Okay okay, tell me what is it?"
Keifer: "Watson enterprises is opening it's new branch in New York"
Jay: "What? wow really" I asked him excitedly
he nods his head and says,
Keifer: "But that is not the good news for you, Your good news is that I will be also shifting to New York, but don't worry the Watson enterprises will still be your investor or merger whichever you want and you can handle the operations here, and tonight I have a flight to finish some paperwork, So I will be leaving tonight, sorry I couldn't be at the wedding or our plan did not work, I will leave my assistant with you in case you need him"
My smile dropped the moment he said that he will be moving to New York, and I did not really listen to what he said afterwards
Jay: "So you will be moving to New York?" My voice dropped when I asked him that
He nods,
Keifer: "Yes, you will be happy now, you don't have to bear with me"
Jay: "When will you be moving?"
Keifer: " tonight I will leave and finish the paperwork and return do the other pending work and move As soon as possible"
I felt sick in stomach when he said that and I was about to speak when his phone rang, he excused and left me, I was standing there alone thinking about what he said, that he will be moving to NY, it means I will not be able to see him daily anymore, that thought hurt me more than I thought,
I don't know how our equation changed because few months before I couldn't stand him and now I don't want him to leave me, It seemed funny if he had said to me a few months before I would have been the happiest person but now he became a part of my life, We grew closer, we did not even realise it, I did not have much people in my life, But he became one of the important person in my life, A person who I don't want to loose, Now if anything happens to me he is the first person that comes to my mind with whom I want to share these things with be it good or bad.
I saw him working across and taking care of the arrangement and talking with the worker,
I suddenly started thinking about our memories, the first time he barged into my office, the way he way he smirked when I accepted the deal, the time he brought my favourite cake, the time I took care of him when he was sick, the time when he was vulnerable about his mother, How he took me to the hospital without caring about his trauma when I got into the accident and how he took care of me after that, how he brought my favourite roses for me. He might not say it directly but I know he cares and loves me. LOVE? what am I thinking?
Then suddenly I felt a tap on my shoulder, I turned to see it was David,
Jay: "David?"
David: "Jay can we talk?"
Jay: "Sure"
David: "Not here privately"
he took me to one of the empty reception room,
Jay: "Go ahead"
David: "Jay I am sorry"
Jay: "for what?"
David: "Wait let me talk"
I nodded,
David: "It feels like I am making a mistake, you know especially after spending time and seeing you made realise what mistake I was about to commit, I don't know why I left you, I feel like a stupid person right now, I did realise your worth until I lost it, I think I still Love you Jay" he said and hugged me immediately , but I did not hug him back,
this is what I wanted to hear from him, when I finally did I did not feel anything, instead I saw Keifer's face when we both kissed
I couldn't process anything before that someone came in, it was Keifer,
his face changed when he saw us, I pulled away from him
Keifer: "Ohh, Sorry I did not, I will leave"
Jay: "No" before I could call him he left, I was about to leave when David stopped me,
David: "Jay, do you still feel the same? "
I stopped a moment before answering,
Jay: "No I don't, it has changed, I think I am in love with Keifer"
I did not even realise how it came out, but right now it didn't matter that David is standing in front of me and confessing his love, What mattered to me was that Keifer was leaving me and I love him.
David : "What?"
Jay: "I Love Keifer."
