Chapter 29 - Chapter 27: Title is a spoiler

"So, how exactly did you get caught by these people, huh?"

Raising a brow, Sarina curiously asked making Rose smile sheepishly, guilt flashing in eyes as she recalled what she had done and bowed her head in shame, hiding herself from Sarina.

Unfortunately for her, Sarina still managed to catch the guilt in her eyes. Looking at how the little girl refused to even look into her eyes, she gently cupped her face.

"Look at me Rose. Am I not your fairy sister? You don't have to hide anything from me. I want to help you my little doll and for that I need the truth."

Sarina patiently explained, her eyes filled with endless love and support as she tried to persuade Rose to speak.

"Promise you won't leave me or get angry on me like mom!" Feeling Sarina's warmth, Rose finally gather up the courage. Looking up in Sarina's eyes, she exclaimed, genuinely afraid of losing her at a time like this.

"I promise you my doll. No matter what the situation is, your fairy sister will always be there for you. Even if the entire world went against you, I will still stand by your side, teaching you how to fight and defeat all your enemies. This fairy sister of yours will always have your back, no matter what problem arises."

Staring straight into the little girl's eyes, Sarina seriously vowed, her each word filled with an unspoken promise as she finally accepted Rose as her own.

She didn't promise to fight for her or to protect her forever, but instead promised to be her guide and biggest support for forever.

Her words filled Rose with hope and a power Rose herself didn't recognize at the moment. None of them would have ever imagined that this small conversation of theirs will become ultimate reality of their lives as it continued to interwind their fate in such a manner that they hadn't even imagined.

"It's my elder brother's birthday in a few days and I wanted to buy a present for him. You know my brother is the best. He is my hero. Don't tell anyone but he is my favorite family member. He loves me the most. His name is…."

Once Rose let go of all her hidden fears and problems, as soon as she opened her mouth, she was like a chatterbox, speaking nonstop as if she found her favorite hobby making Sarina hold her head in exasperation.

"Rose, my doll, I want to know how you got here, not to hear your brother's glory. You can tell me whatever you want about your brother later, for now, let's focus on how you got here, right?"

Not wanting to listen to Rose's sung praises of her unknown brother, Sarina interrupted her, bringing her attention back to the actual problem.

"Oh! sorry fairy sister. It's just that whenever brother is mentioned, I tend to forget everything else. So where was I!? Oh yeah! I wanted to buy a gift so I went out with Aunt Jenny and bodyguard uncle. But since I wanted to keep the present a surprise for everyone including my parents, I, very cleverly ran away under their nose but then got caught by these people."

Rose sheepishly exclaimed, her eyes still filled with admiration when she talked about her brother as she explained in detail, proud of how she escaped her guard's eyes but pouting adorably by the end, recalling how she got kidnapped.

By the time Rose finished speaking, Sarina had completely lost the count of many times she had sighed till now.

'This little girl, despite being the same age as twins, Mila and Leo, is obviously much more mischievous than them. And here mom, dad and me call them naughty. Compared to her, they can literally be called innocent for a second. And this brother of hers, just how good he would be for her to admire him like that. But what does he have to do with me. Sarina what are thinking about? Focus on how to escape, not some unknown brother.'

Sarina thought, almost laughing out loud while mentally comparing her two little munchkins to this little doll in front of her. She really felt very curious about this brother Rose kept on mentioning before chiding herself, successfully bringing her focus back to the reality.

"Rose how long do you think you have locked here for? Do you have way to connect your parents."

Recalling how those rich people used to provide their children with advanced devices for security, she believed Rose should also have one and excitedly asked.

And sure enough, Rose's answer did not disappoint her.

"Yes, fairy sister. My dad gave me this pendant on my last birthday. He told me to never take it off and that whenever I feel like I am in danger, I should press that button in it and he will immediately come to my rescue."

Rose enthusiastically told her, taking out the pendant hidden beneath her clothes, ecstatically showing it to Sarina, making her sigh in relief.

"So have you pressed it?" Sarina hurriedly asked, hoping to escape this place as soon as possible.

"Oh ho fairy sister! Did you forget Rose had her hands tied. How can I press it." Rose exasperatedly exclaimed, looking at Sarina as if she was stupid enough to ask such an obvious question.

Sensing Rose's such obvious judgmental gaze; Sarina deliberately cleared her throat to cover the embarrassment she was feeling at that moment and said;

"But your hands are free now. Quickly press it and go hide while I try to look for an escape route for us."

Giving stern instructions, Sarina once again began to look around once Rose hid properly after sending the signal to her parents.

Searching round the entire factory for almost an hour, Sarina once again returned to Rose's hiding space and sat down beside her, pondering over her next step.

'What bad luck do I actually have!? There is literally no spot through which we can escape. It seems that the only way out is the main door but I don't know how many people are out there, guarding the place. Besides I also have Rose with me. I would've definitely taken this risk if she wasn't here. Who knows how long it will take for Rose's dad to arrive.'

Sarina was completely lost in her thoughts, her gaze drifting between the main door and Rose again and again, hesitating to decide her next move.

"Sister Angel, is there any way to find out exactly how many people are actually guarding outside?"

Left with no other choice, Sarina decided to ask help from Angel. After all, Angel was the spirit of a system and had many powerful abilities that Sarina herself couldn't even imagine.

[Give me moment Ina. I will inspect the surrounding area.]

Floating in the space within the pocket dimension, Angel replied before closing her eyes. A radiant and bright golden light radiated from her body, quickly spreading in the real world, covering all the corners surrounding Sarina.

[Ina, under to area I can scan, there are only 6 people over here. Whether there are more people away or not, I am not very sure. Also, these people outside have weapons on them as well so be very careful, ok!"]

A few seconds later, Angel truthfully replied; feeling extremely worried and afraid for her host. To her, Sarina wasn't just a host but a very dear friend and a child she had lovingly brought up. Just the thought of anything happening to Sarina over here was enough to break her heart into multiple pieces.

"Don't worry sister Angel. Nothing will happen to me. Don't forget the system itself have trained me and have even a S grade medal in it. These few people, I can handle them even blindfolded."

Sarina confidently said, trying to reduce Angel's anxiousness for her safety.

All this time, Rose cleverly maintained her silence, clearly recognizing how hard Sarina was trying to come up with a plan that could save both of them.

She really felt very regretful as well as proud for running away from her guards. Regretful because she had unintentionally increased the burden on her fairy sister and proud because at least her fairy sister was not alone and could be saved as soon as her father arrived.

"Rose, listen to me very carefully. No matter what happened next, what noises you hear, don't come out until I or your dad calls you. Promise me you will not step out of this place until you are told to do so. You will be good girl and listen to your fairy sister, right?"

Unaware of her thoughts, Sarina turned towards Rose who had quietly been observing her and somberly reminded her, forwarding her little finger to the little girl who while not actually understanding the severity of the situation but wanting to be a good girl for her fairy sister, also linked her little finger with Sarina's and earnestly promised,

"I promise fairy sister. I won't come out until you and dad call me out."

"That's like my good girl." Sarina told her, lovingly pecking her forehead, before standing up and covering Rose completely with other boxes surrounding them.

Stepping towards the main gate, the eyes changed. The love and care that had been locked in her eyes vanished completely, replaced by nothing but indifference and ruthlessness.

A mysterious smirk adorned her face as she took out her other dagger, clutching both of them together in her hands, stopping right in front of the door with only one face and one thought in her mind.

'Finally, after such a lengthy planning, it is finally the time to meet and defeat my first enemy. Montclair family, you definitely wouldn't have expected this.'

Sarina cryptically thought, pushing the door open, ready to fight her first prey she had set her eyes on.
