Chapter 1 - Ch 1- Quirk Stand

Japan.

A loud explosion ripped through a busy street.

Inside a bank, smoke filled the air for barely two seconds before sirens started blaring outside.

Then something massive burst straight through the wall.

A huge figure, easily five meters tall and built like a tank, charged out onto the street. His body looked almost mutated, like something straight out of a nightmare.

He ran fast. Even the police cars chasing him couldn't keep up.

Cars parked along the road didn't slow him down at all. He smashed through them like they were toys, sending them flying everywhere.

Slung over his shoulder was a cloth bag, stuffed so full that cash kept slipping out as he ran.

People on both sides of the street screamed and backed away in panic..

"Another Quirk crime?"

"He robbed a bank, I think."

"That's gotta be some kind of strength Quirk… that's insane."

"With power like that, and he uses it for this?"

"Where are the heroes?"

Years ago, everything changed.

It started with a glowing baby born in Qingqing City, China. After that, more and more people began developing superpowers.

The world stopped being normal.

People started calling these abilities Quirks.

And as Quirks became common, so did crimes involving them.

To deal with that, a new profession came into existence.

Heroes.

"Wait… wait wait, Tf I'm supposed to do?!"

A girl around fifteen stood near the street, her hair tied in a ponytail. She froze when she saw the damaged bank and the massive robber heading straight toward her.

Her face went pale.

Instinctively, she raised her hand. A faint, multicolored glow flickered in her palm.

She had a Quirk too.

But before she could activate it, the robber rushed past her like a speeding train.

She spun around, frustrated, biting her lip.

"Shit… it still takes too long to activate."

The robber kept pulling ahead, leaving the police behind.

She clenched her fists. At this rate, only a pro hero could stop him.

Then she saw someone.

A boy stood right in the middle of the road.

Hands in his pockets with nonchalant expression.

He looked about her age, maybe fifteen or sixteen. Blue patterned jacket, beige pants, black shoes. Pretty normal.

Except for the fact that he wasn't running.

He was just… standing there?

"Danger! Move!" the girl shouted.

People nearby gasped, already imagining what was about to happen.

"Get outta the way, kid!" the robber roared, not slowing down at all.

The boy let out a quiet scoff.

Then he raised his hand and pointed forward.

In the next instant, a golden armored giant, clad in golden armor, with only the lower half of his face below the bridge of his nose visible, bronze-colored skin, and bulging muscles that seemed ready to burst, appeared out of thin air beside the young man.

"What…?" the girl whispered, stunned.

The boy smirked slightly and flicked his finger.

The golden figure moved instantly.

It stepped forward and threw a punch.

BOOM.

The impact sounded like an explosion.

The giant robber was sent flying.

He spun through the air twice before crashing hard onto the road right in front of the boy.

The robber's Quirk flickered out, his body shrinking back to normal. A fist mark was clearly visible on his face.

He was barely conscious.

"K…kid… what the hell… was that…" he mumbled weakly.

The boy crouched down, looking at him with a faint grin.

"This?" he said casually.

"The World."

The golden figure picked up the money bag and handed it to him.

He opened it, glanced inside, and gave a low whistle.

"Damn… this has gotta be at least a hundred million yen."

By then, the police had caught up.

One of the officers slammed the brakes and stared.

"It's him again!" he said quickly to the officer beside him.

The passenger, Officer Naomasa Tsukauchi, frowned and pulled up a file on the car's computer.

A photo appeared, along with basic info.

Name: Arthur Pendragon

Age: 15

Height: 185 cm

Birthplace: Los Angeles, USA

Quirk: Stand, The World

Notes: Transferred to Aldera Junior High after his grandfather, Ken Nakamura, passed away last year. Only known relative. Recently suspended for using his Quirk in a fight with a classmate.

Tsukauchi stared at the screen, then back at the boy standing in the street.

"...Yeah. Definitely him."

Arthur Pendragon wasn't originally from this world.

He was reborn here.

No crazy truck accident or anything like that. He just fell asleep while watching anime… and woke up here.

It didn't take long for him to realize where he was.

A world where people had powers called Quirks.

Yeah. My Hero Academia.

When he turned five, his own Quirk awakened.

And it was something he never expected.

The World.

The Stand of Dio Brando from JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, the last anime he watched before dying.

Basically, he could summon a humanoid entity that fought alongside him. Kind of like Tokoyami's Dark Shadow.

But after years of training, Arthur figured out something important.

His version of The World wasn't exactly the same as Dio's.

For one, he still couldn't stop time.

That ability, the real broken part of The World, hadn't awakened yet.

Still, his Stand could grow stronger through training.

At just fifteen, his close combat ability with The World was already on par with Dio's.

Unlocking time stop was probably just a matter of time.

There was another difference too.

Normally, only Stand users can see Stands.

But in this world had quirks and his stand was quirk now, son everyone could see his stand.

Which made things… complicated.

By now, the police had surrounded the area.

Naomasa Tsukauchi stepped forward, frowning as he looked at Arthur.

"You're Arthur Pendragon from Aldera Junior High, right?"

"You do realize using your Quirk like that without a license is illegal?"

In Japan, you needed a hero license to use your Quirk on others.

No license meant no fighting. Simple as that.

And Arthur had just knocked someone out in public.

That was a big deal.

Arthur just smiled.

Instead of answering, he raised the bag of cash.

"Isn't there a law here about returning lost property?" he said casually.

"Like, finder gets ten percent?"

He gave the bag a small shake.

"There's at least 100 million yen in here. So… how about ten million for me?"

Tsukauchi's frown deepened.

By the book, he should arrest both the robber and Arthur. No question.

The tension in the air got heavier.

Then suddenly, someone rushed in.

"I'm so sorry!"

It was the ponytail girl from earlier.

Tsukauchi blinked when he saw her.

"Wait… Yaoyorozu? The president's daughter?"

"Yes," she nodded quickly. "I'm Momo Yaoyorozu."

She glanced at Arthur, then back at Tsukauchi.

"He helped stop the robbery. Please… could you go easy on him?"

Tsukauchi hesitated.

He still wasn't convinced.

"Man, this Quirk law is annoying," Arthur muttered.

Seeing he wasn't getting any reward, he casually tossed the bag of money onto the ground and turned to leave.

"Hey, wait!"

"You can't just go!"

Several officers stepped in front of him, blocking his path.

Arthur's expression darkened slightly.

"I'm really not in the mood right now."

He raised his hand.

The World appeared instantly, stepping forward into a fighting stance.

The pressure it gave off was intense.

The officers froze for a second, instinctively swallowing.

Not everyone had strong Quirks.

About 80 percent of people had them, but that didn't mean they were useful in combat.

A lot of officers were either Quirkless or had weak abilities.

That's why they became police instead of heroes.

And yeah… people didn't exactly respect that.

"Hey! Calm down!" Yaoyorozu called out, clearly panicking now.

Right as things were about to escalate, a loud laugh cut through the tension.

"HA HA HA!"

The ground shook slightly.

Something dropped from above and landed nearby.

Everyone turned to look.

Then the crowd exploded.

A white shirt. Green pants. Not even in full hero costume.

But there was no mistaking him.

Tall, muscular, with that signature smile.

The Number One Hero.

All Might.

"All Might!"

"It's really him!"

"So cool!"

The entire street went wild.

Even Tsukauchi looked surprised.

"All Might…?"

All Might walked over, smiling casually.

"I was shopping nearby and heard about the situation," he said. "Sorry I'm late."

Then his gaze shifted.

Straight to Arthur.

And The World standing beside him.

His expression sharpened just a bit.

"That's quite the Quirk you've got there, young man."

Arthur looked back at him.

Even without knowing everything about this world before…

He knew one thing for sure.

This guy…

Was the strongest hero alive.
