Chapter 1 - Prolouge : Secret of Being Special

Some people have a fake illusion that they are special. But there are others who genuinely believe they are special.

They believe—although it can be false—that they are special, so they try something extra, something additional, something anew, because they believe normal things are beneath them. Yes, it is sometimes known as arrogance.

But beneath that arrogance, some work extra hard to achieve an extra-large goal, while others become a hollow shell of laziness, thinking they will start later, indulge themselves in mortal desires, or just become satisfied with normal goals.

But you know, in the end, special people who are arrogant but have the work backing them end up becoming more special. Because they obviously are, aren't they?

They worked harder with a sophisticated belief. There is a saying: we become what we believe. So, all those types of people end up becoming special because they believe they are.

Therefore, to become special, you need to believe so and have the work to back you up. It is the only way people truly become special.

Let's add an extra tip here: special people don't need motivation or encouraging words. They are built so that one day, even without any motivation, they will become special. Motivation just decreases that time period.

So, normal people shouldn't get discouraged, because I am telling you to believe that you are special.

The Chosen Prince

=======

A long time ago, in a certain kingdom, a prince was born. He was regal, elegant, and gentle.

He noticed that people didn't just look at him; they revered him, carrying a quiet hope in the corners of their eyes. His parents made it clear that this child would one day become a ruler.

However, the naive prince never truly understood those expectations, as he was too young—only seven years old. One day, out of pure curiosity, he pushed himself to work a little harder, just to see if the extra effort would make any difference.

Within a few days, he found he could defeat any child of his generation. Of course, it wasn't that other children lacked the curiosity to work hard, but the prince simply worked harder than them. Furthermore, he possessed advantages that other children couldn't afford. One might call it an injustice, but that is simply how the world works: there is privilege to contrast the common, evil to define the good, and injustice to highlight justice.

With the additional benefits that came from being royalty, he practiced swordsmanship without a single worldly worry, and soon, people began to call him a prodigy.

At first, he didn't think much of it. To him, it was an empty title. He knew he wasn't a genius—no one actually is. It was merely the result of his royal privilege combined with hard work. But one must also remember another crucial factor: mindset. Not every royal becomes a hard worker or a prodigy; only those with the right mindset do.

Soon after, as more people revered him as a genius, he became a role model. Only then did he feel the urge to maintain his momentum. He was twelve, and he knew he had to work hard to uphold his title so he wouldn't fail the people's expectations. He worked relentlessly, and in doing so, he truly became special.

Then one day, the Demon King invaded the land, and a holy sword appeared in a distant realm to slay him. But the Chosen One had yet to appear.

The kingdom summoned a boy from another world. They called him the Hero, the Chosen One, the slayer of the Demon King. The otherworldly boy was indeed powerful, and he was likely the true Chosen One, but he decided otherwise.

He chose not to shoulder the people's expectations, and he flatly refused to fight the Demon King.

On the other hand, the prince knew he wasn't the Chosen One. He wasn't the prodigy or the genius that everyone claimed he was. He had known it all along.

But humans possess a special ability: they never lose hope until the day they die. That is reality.

Can you guess what the prince decided to do next?

He decided... to become the Chosen One. It was very funny right. A wolf wanted to slay the dragon.

And so....

He began to work so tirelessly that his hands never left the hilt of his blade. He swung his sword until his palms blistered, calloused over, and tore open again, staining the grip with his own blood. He trained from the freezing mists of dawn until his body collapsed in the dead of night, pushing his muscles past the point of tearing and ignoring exhaustion until his movements were driven purely by instinct.

Through this grueling torment, he became overwhelmingly strong. He forged an unbreakable mindset.

Eventually, when the epic moment to claim the holy sword arrived, he was the last to step forward after the otherworlder refused and failed to take it.

He tried to wield it. He gripped its hilt, but no matter what he did, the sword refused to budge from its pedestal. The blade never acknowledged him as its master. The gods had rejected him.

Blood dripped from his eyes and his hands as the sword's powerful aura tried to crush his very existence, yet he only clung to the weapon tighter.

If there is no one in this entire world strong enough for the gods to choose, then I will become so strong that they will have no other option but to choose me. That was his absolute conviction.

He remained anchored to the sword, still unable to move it. But he refused to give up.
