"I'm home!" Ishihara yelled, locking the door behind him. A girl walks over to greet him and he flinches at what she is wearing. "Hi big brother!" His sister yelled, unknowingly showing her bra. He looks away with a flustered face, his sister seeing this goes up to him and teases him. "What's wrong? Is it something I'm wearing?" His sister said teasingly. "Mari… why must you be like this?" Ishihara asked, trying not to look at her. "Be like what?" Mari said innocently. He couldn't look at her at all, she was only wearing a swim suit and an apron, and not the one piece. She presses on him, her breasts squishing on his back. "Please stop!" Ishihara yelled, pushing her away. He looks at his sister and gives her the cardigan he's wearing.
"Big brother why? Are you ok?" Mari said with a guilty face, going over to hug him. "I'm okay, how about we eat?" Ishihara said, managing a small smile. Mari smiles back and goes to the kitchen to plate the food. "Hah, this was an eventful day huh." Ishihara said to himself, slumping beside the wall. After regaining his composure, he sees Mari putting the curry and rice on the table. "Sit down before the food becomes cold." Mari said, urging Ishihara to sit down. He sits down and a plate of curry is put in front of him. Mari sits across from him with her own set of food. "Thanks for the food!" Ishihara said, clapping his hands together. Mari soon followed after doing the same thing. They started to eat the food Mari made, it was all normal until Mari brought up an unexpected topic.
"Hey big brother?" Mari asked. "Yes Mari?" Ishihara asked back. She doesn't say anything and Ishihara sips some water. "Do you like big breasts?" Mari said sheepishly. When Ishihara heard that, he spat out all the water he was drinking. "Khkhkh… what do you mean!" Ishihara questioned, coughing on his water. "I mean… you have some light novels with… big breasted girls." Mari said embarrassingly. Ishihara looked at her and thought "I thought I hid those light novels?" Mari looked at him for an answer and Ishihara didn't know what to say. "What do I say? What should I say? "What do I even do in this situation?" Ishihara said in his head, he started to panic, but thought of a solution. "I don't really have any preference and that is all a coincidence." Ishihara said calmly.
"Okay then big brother." Mari said, starting to eat her food again. For the rest of the meal they eat in silence. After they finish, Ishihara offers to clean the dishes. "Okay big brother. By the way, when you come back tomorrow, can you get some mochi?" Mari asked, going to sit on the couch. "I'll get some after-school, so don't worry." Ishihara said, cleaning the dishes. She gets up and goes to the book shelf on the right of the couch. She picks up a book called "I Love my Brother, but Does He Love Me?" and goes to read it. Ishihara finishes washing the dishes and goes to the bookshelf also. He picked up a book called "I've Reincarnated into Another World with my Crush." He goes to the couch and sits next to his sister. "This is a Manga I haven't read in a while." Ishihara said, flipping through the pages before reading.
He begins reading and his sister right next to him leans on him. "You ok?" Ishihara asked, taking a glance at Mari. "I'm o-okay, just c-cold." Mari answered, clearly shivering. "That's your fault, wait." Ishihara said, going into a room. After a short bit, he comes out carrying some pillows and a big blanket. "Huh?" Mari said in confusion. "Here… catch." Ishihara said, throwing a pillow at her head. She gets hit and flinches back a bit. Ishihara goes over to the couch and prepares his pillow. "Whait is going on?" Mari questioned, holding her pillow. "You're cold right? This is just for you." Ishihara said, putting a big blanket on both of them. Mari puts down the pillow next to her and hugs Ishihara. "Thank you." Mari said quietly. She quietly goes to sleep and Ishihara starts to read the Manga again. After reading a few pages he goes to the light switch and turns it off. He closes his eyes and goes peacefully to sleep.
"Hey Ishi! Look, it's a 4-leaf clover!" A girl with pink hair said. A younger version of Ishihara comes over and looks at the four-leafed clover. "Woah cool! A four leaf clover!" The younger Ishihara yelled. The two of them were in a field of clovers. This field spread far as the eye could see. "I couldn't find any clovers like that." The younger Ishihara said in disappointment. "Hey kids, we're going home!" Their mothers said. Ishihara was about to run, but was stopped by the pink-haired girl. "Here." The pink-haired girl said, giving him the four-leafed clover. "Thank you." The younger Ishihara said, putting the four-leafed clover in his pocket. They hold and run towards their mothers and his dream ends.
He wakes up and feels a sharp pain in his left arm. He looks over and sees Mari clinging onto his arm. "Cute." Ishihara thought in his head. He shakes her in an attempt to wake her up. She wakes up and rubs her eyes. "Morning." Mari said with tiredness. "What time is it?" Ishihara said, glancing over at the clock. He got up immediately and Mari was confused as to why he got up so suddenly. "Why did you get up like that?" Mari asked, getting up and stretching. "Look at the time!" Ishihara said, running into his room. Mari looks at the clock and it was at seven o clock. She sees him run down the stairs and runs past the corner. He goes behind the wall and Mari hears him hit something. "Gaah!" Ishihara yelled in pain. "What happened?" Mari asked, going to check up on him.
She sees him on the ground rubbing holding his arm. "What happened!" Mari asked, immediately checking his arm. "I ran into the wall, don't worry. Ngghh!" Ishihara answered, while feeling the sharp pain in his arm from being touched. "Your arm is bleeding, how! W-we need to go patch it up!" Mari yelled in panic, going to the kitchen. She finds bandages and a rag, she wets the rag and goes back to Ishihara. "Here let me clean the wound before wrapping it up." Mari said, preparing to clean the wound. "You need to disinfect it before wrapping it." Ishihara advised, before pointing into the bathroom. "Okay." Mari said, going into the bathroom. She looks around, trying to find the disinfectant. "Where is it?" Mari said, having no luck finding the disinfectant. "In the cabinet, under the mouthwash!" Ishihara said, now leaning on the wall.
Mari looked in the cabinet and just like Ishihara said, it was under the mouthwash. "I found it. Wait… how did you get there?" Mari questioned, putting down the disinfectant on the table. "Great… and how did I get here? I used the wall for support since my ankle hurts." Ishihara answered, keeping his legs on the couch. "Okay then, I'm gonna wrap your ankle and arm, okay." Mari said, preparing the disinfectant, rag, and bandage. "Right, thank you." Ishihara said, patting her head. She smiles and starts to disinfect the wound. Ishihara slightly groans and Mari finishes disinfecting and bandages the wound. She also bandages his ankle and gets up. "All right, finished!" Mari said, wiping the sweat from her face. "Thanks Mari. Let me get up." Ishihara said, trying to get up from the couch.
"Ngghh!" Ishihara said, dropping on the floor. "What's wrong?" Mari asked with worry. "My ankle, it hurts way too much to walk right now." Ishihara answered, laying on the floor. He laid on his stomach and he tried getting up, but he dropped. "Don't try to get up. I will call the school." Mari said calmly, going to the house phone. She dials the phone number for the school and it starts to connect. Someone picked up the phone and Mari was nervous. "Hello?" The male voice on the phone said. "Hello, my big brother is hurt and he cannot come to school right now." Mari said, feeling a bit nervous. "All right, what is your big brother's name?" The male voice asked. "My big brother's name is Ishihara Nao." Mari answered, taking a small glance at Ishihara.
He was trying to get on the couch by only using his hands and his one working leg. "Be careful! You might get hurt again!" Mari advised. "What was that?" The male voice asked. "OH, nothing." Mari said calmly. "Okay, he's out sick, so make sure he rests today, okay?" The male voice said. "Got it. Goodbye." Mari said, hanging up on the phone. "Hey big brother… what are you doing?" Mari said in confusion. He was sitting upside down with his feet pointing to the roof. "Nothing. So what are we eating now?" Ishihara asked. "You act younger than me and I'm twelve. And yes we are eating now. Let me cook something." Mari said, going to the kitchen. She puts on a pink apron and prepares the ingredients for the meal. She takes out rice, miso, green onions, tofu, three eggs, and wakame. She is going to make steamed rice, tamago(Japanese egg omelet), and miso soup. She first gets the pot from the rice cooker and puts the rice in there, she then cleans the rice three times before measuring the water and putting it in the rice cooker on cook.
She then cracks the eggs in a bowl and whisks it until it is fully whisked. She then grabs salt and sugar and pinches some in there. She mixes it before she can cook it. She fills a pot with water and puts it on the stove to boil it. She gets the wakame and cuts it into small strips and the tofu into small cubes. She takes a small glance at Ishihara and he was speaking about something. "Please, I have loved you since our first meeting." Ishihara recited. She was confused and came over to see what he was doing. "Look I have your handkerchief too." Ishihara recited again. "What are you doing?" Mari asked with a confused look. "OH, I'm reciting some lines from Summer Love: The Love Triangle." Ishihara said, still in the same position.
"Isn't that the best thing you have written?" Mari said. "Yeah it is. It's one of my best stories so far." Ishihara said, picking up the book from yesterday and started to read it. "All right then, I'm gonna go back to the kitchen. Want anything?" Mari asked, walking to the kitchen. "A cup of water please." Ishihara said. She goes to the fridge and takes out a jug of water and pours him a cup. She gives it to him and checks on the water in the pot. The water in the pot is boiling so she puts soy sauce and a small spoonful of miso paste. She lets the miso slowly dissolve when stirring and when it is all dissolved, she puts in the tofu cubes. She lets it cook for a little before adding the wakame. While that was cooking, she cut up the green onions she took out. She finely chops it and leaves it for garnish. She checks on the miso soup and it is almost done cooking, she goes and checks on the rice. It was perfectly cooked.
She takes a tamagoyaki pan and turns on another burner. She puts the pan on there and oils it. She pours a small layer of the egg and waits until she folds it. She then does this process three more times. She then makes another, taking the same amount of effort. She then cuts the two tamaga into four equal pieces. She checked on the miso soup and it was fully done now. She pours the miso soup into two small bowls and scoops out one and half scoops of rice on plates. She then takes all the dishes and puts them on the table. "Breakfast is finished." Mari said, looking at Ishihara. "Perfect. I just finished a chapter of this book, let's go." Ishihara said, gesturing to her to help him. She sighs and helps him get up and helps him walk over to the dinner table. He sits down without any problem and she sits down as well. "Looks good." Ishihara said, picking up chopsticks. "It's what I make everyday. You don't need to say it all the time." Mari said, clearly annoyed. Even though she seemed to be annoyed with all the compliments he makes everyday, she enjoyed it when he complimented. They started to eat and after a few bites they started to have a conversation. "Hey I got a question?" Mari asked.
"Is it like yesterday?" Ishihara said before taking another bite of rice. "Kinda. Do you speak to girls outside the house?" Mari questioned, clearly wanting an answer. He takes another bite before answering. "Well there was a group of girls I spoke to at Miss Kiyomi's shop." Ishihara answered, taking a sip of miso soup. She looks at him, waiting for something more than that. Ishihara sees this and is confused. "What, isn't that what you wanted." Ishihara said. "No, it isn't. What girls did you speak to?" Mari questioned in a serious tone. "Just some girls I might know… or rather they know me." Ishihara answered with a bit of uncertainty. "Well that doesn't cut it. Who was the group of girls, and did they have any motive?" Mari demanded, her face devoid of any positive emotions. Ishihara never knew his sister could be capable of making that face. It scared him a bit, but he answered like before.
"None of the girls had any motive. I'm sure of it." Ishihara answered with the same type of face Mari was making. "Haah, all right then." Mari said, gaining back her cheerful demeanor. He sighs and they finish their food in deep silence. Their day passes normally after that, Ishihara goes to his room with Mari's help and stays in his room to write. Mari stays downstairs and reads the books on the shelf. They do this until it's lunch time. "Hey big brother, do you mind if we eat the same meal from this morning?" Mari asked loudly. He doesn't answer immediately, but he does after a short bit. "Hello?" Mari said, going up the first step. "I'm coming!" Ishihara yelled. Mari flinched a little and was confused by what he meant. "Didn't I just ask you to answer, not come down?" Mari asked. The footsteps stop and then a loud sigh can be heard. "Sorry! Also no, I don't really mind!" Ishihara yelled, going back into his room. Mari looks upstairs with confusion, but that soon turns into relief. "It seems he can walk fine now." Mari thought to herself.
She goes into the kitchen to prepare the leftover ingredients and soup from the morning. She heats up the miso soup on the stove and gets the egg mixture out of the fridge. She was about to make the tamago, but there was knocking at the front door. Mari goes over to the door and looks through the windows. She sees Reina with papers and a box. "Hello, Who are you?" Mari questioned. "My name is Reina Seki. I'm a student from your brother's class." Reina said politely. "Right… come in." Mari said, opening the door for her. Reina comes into their house and takes off her shoes. "You can leave the box and the papers on that table." Mari said, pointing to the table in the living room. "Where is your brother?" Reina asked, looking around the house. "He's up in his room, I'll call him. Big brother!" Mari answered, calling out for Ishihara. "She calls him big brother, cute." Reina thought to herself. Ishihara comes over to the top of the stairs and he looks at Reina with confusion. "Reina what are you-" Ishihara said, before tripping down the stairs. Ishihara fell face first and the two girls rushed over to check on him.
"Are you ok!" The two girls asked in union. "I'm… fine you two." Ishihara, getting up. "Your ankle doesn't hurt anymore?" Mari asks. "Yeah it doesn't anymore." Ishihara said, showing his ankle that was just a little purple. "I'm glad you're okay." Reina said, looking at Ishihara's ankle and arm. "Thanks and-" Ishihara said before saying "wait a minute, Reina!" Ishihara yelled in realization. "Hehe, hello." Reina said, waving her hand. "Seems like you two know each other. How about we sit down at the table." Mari said, guiding Reina to the table. Ishihara follows along after them and sees the papers and the box on the table. "Great, I have to pull an all-nighter again." Ishihara thought to himself.
"Here sit right down, we were right about to eat." Mari said, pulling out the chair. "No no no. I couldn't possibly intrude." Reina said, getting up. "No you aren't, right Mari." Ishihara said, putting her back in her chair. "Here you guys."Mari said, putting plates of the food the two siblings ate in the morning. "Mari sits down and Ishihara as well. "Now then, who are you to my big brother?" Mari questioned, with the same serious face from the morning. Reina looked over at Ishihara and he was staring away. She sighs and starts to explain who she was to Ishihara to Mari.
