BRIDE IN VEIL

A suffocating silence filled the room.

The air moved slowly, almost deliberately, as if it carried the weight of something sinister. The dim light flickered against the walls, and every shadow seemed alive—breathing, watching. It felt like a scene torn straight out of a nightmare.

In the middle of the room stood a girl.

Her fingers were wrapped tightly around the hilt of a sword, its blade dripping with fresh blood. She tilted her head slightly, her gaze wandering across the room with eerie calmness.

Bodies.

Lifeless bodies.

Everywhere.

Their heads lay separated from their torsos, scattered like discarded objects. Blood painted the floor in deep crimson streaks, pooling beneath her feet.

"Tchh… tchh… tchh…"

The sound escaped her lips softly, almost mockingly, as if she were disappointed.

Thunder roared outside.

A flash of lightning lit up the room—and in that single moment, her face became visible.

Her eyes… were red.

Not metaphorically—truly red. As though blood itself had seeped into them. Her long hair fell loose, cascading down to her knees, wild and untamed. She wore a white wedding gown—once pure, once beautiful—but now completely soaked in blood.

Another thunderclap.

She screamed.

"AHHHHHHHHHHH!"

The scream was not human. It echoed like the cry of a warrior goddess after a battlefield drenched in death. It carried rage, madness… and something far deeper—something broken.

As the echo faded, she slowly whispered to herself,

"Just because life is given… doesn't mean you have to live it."

Her lips curled into a faint smile.

"Death is also a part of life… and I'm merely sending all of you… back to God."

She chuckled softly.

At that moment, she looked less like a bride—and more like a predator who had just finished hunting.

Suddenly—

A voice broke the silence.

"Daisy… not again."

An old man stepped into the room. His expression was stern, but his eyes held something else—concern.

"Today is your wedding," he said sharply. "Do you even realize the groom and guests have been waiting for the past three hours? And look at you… you've ruined your wedding gown."

His tone hardened.

"Go. Get ready. Now."

Daisy slowly turned toward him.

Her lips stretched into a crooked, unsettling smile.

"Did you tell the groom the truth?" she asked softly. "About what I really am?"

Her eyes gleamed with a dangerous intelligence—like she was hiding something powerful enough to shatter lives.

The old man clenched his jaw.

"Daisy," he said through gritted teeth, "all your sins are hidden only because I promised your mother I would protect you."

Before Daisy could respond—

SLAP!

The sound echoed across the room.

A man stood at the entrance—his face filled with anger.

Damian.

Her father.

"You are a disgrace to this family!" he shouted. "Couldn't you forget your madness for just one day and sit quietly at your own wedding?!"

Daisy slowly raised her head, her cheek slightly red from the impact.

A smirk appeared.

"So… you want to get rid of me, don't you, father?" she said, her voice dripping with sarcasm.

Damian's patience snapped.

"I tolerated you all these years only because of your grandfather!" he yelled. "But not anymore. From today onwards—you have no connection with the Roy family."

His voice turned cold.

"Get out. Leave. And never come back."

David stepped forward immediately.

"Damian, I promised her mother—she is my responsibility!"

But Daisy raised her hand gently, stopping him.

She looked at him—this time, her smile softer.

"Dada ji… I'm 22 now," she said quietly. "I can take care of myself."

And just like that—

She left.

Vanished.

Days turned into weeks. Weeks turned into months.

Four months passed.

No one knew where Daisy was.

David worried constantly, the weight of his promise haunting him every day. Damian, though he never admitted it aloud, was consumed by guilt—his anger replaying in his mind over and over again.

But Daisy…

Daisy was gone.

Lorenz Mansion

Music blasted through the grand halls.

Laughter. Alcohol. Chaos.

A young man sat lazily on a luxurious couch, a glass of whiskey dangling from his fingers. Around him, women surrounded him—laughing, flirting, doing anything to keep his attention.

Kevin Lorenz.

The heir to the famous Lorenz empire.

A man feared in the underworld—but careless in his personal life.

He smirked as one of the girls whispered something in his ear.

"Life's too short to be boring," he muttered.

Suddenly—

"KEVIN!"

The entire room froze.

An elderly woman stood at the entrance, her presence alone enough to silence the chaos.

Jacqueline Lorenz.

The true power behind the empire.

Her sharp eyes scanned the scene—disgust evident on her face.

"I am done with your nonsense!" she snapped. "Parties, women, alcohol—have you forgotten who you are?!"

Kevin leaned back, completely unfazed.

"What the hell, grandma?" he said lazily. "Who cares? If beauty exists, why bother with duty?"

A few girls giggled nervously.

Jacqueline's expression darkened.

"Enough."

Her voice was cold. Final.

"You have five days."

Kevin raised an eyebrow.

"To do what?"

She stepped closer.

"To get married."

The room fell silent.

Kevin let out a laugh.

"You're joking, right?"

She didn't smile.

"Within five days, you will marry a girl who is—"

She counted on her fingers.

"Respectful. Sensible. Innocent. Kind-hearted."

Kevin scoffed.

"And if I don't?"

Jacqueline's gaze turned deadly.

"Then you will not receive a single penny from this empire."

Silence.

The music had stopped. The girls slowly stepped back.

Kevin stared at her.

For the first time—he wasn't smiling.

Somewhere far away…

In the shadows of a forgotten town…

A girl stood in front of a mirror.

Her long hair was tied back neatly this time. Her eyes—no longer wild—but still hiding something dangerous.

She wore a simple outfit.

Unrecognizable.

Different.

But the faint smile on her lips…

Still the same.

"working as a librarian in a small library "

What happens next?

Will Daisy return?

Will Kevin find the "perfect bride"?

Or will fate bring together two souls… equally dangerous?

What truth is Daisy hiding—one so terrifying that no one would dare marry her?

To uncover the mystery…
