Chapter 25 - An Evident Leap in Strength

"Mum, he's still not waking up. It has been a month already." Ivory screamed out her lungs, already frustrated by the whole situation.

Her expression was completely dull. She was easily irritated these days. It was now a month since her brother entered a sleep-like state. She was seriously worried about him.

Maria gasped. Her eyes were completely black as days passed and she seemed to have aged a year or two more.

She turned to look at her daughter as a smile camouflaged her face, "Don't worry so much my girl. He is clearly still breathing, isn't he?" she looked at the one in question and her disguise immediately fell as she sobs.

It was not easy following the sudden situation which came completely unexpected.

They weren't alone in all this as her sons who were in the central academy had returned about two weeks ago. They were there to console her. Their expressions weren't pleased in the least bit.

Their father had been asking favor after favor, inviting experts of the city to come check on his son's condition. Nevertheless, they all ended with the same deduction:

"He must have circulated his energy through the wrong path which put him in this state. No matter how much medicine you give him it will be futile. See that he is still breathing at a slightly compressed level, which is a good thing indicating he is still alive. He will have to fight this on his own. I will advise you give him healing and recuperation pills which will help him live longer and at least alleviates his burden." and that was it.

They claimed he cultivated through the wrong path, either circulating his energy inaccurately which was almost impossible for any cultivator.

It does happen but it was very rare and unlikely the case with the fact that he was still breathing even after a month.

Just like in complete darkness one would normally never miss their mouth when passing food, because the process had been ingrained in their consciousness from the very beginning, when they were born.

It was nigh impossible missing these steps, thereby leading the food through the nose.

Hence, a cultivator would never miss the circulation of heaven and earth energy through his/her energy path. It was their live.

The state their son found himself could be expressed as extremely strange, as some experts said he wasn't in a meditative state anymore.

He was completely lost!

Some claimed he might have attempted a forbidden technique without his parents' knowledge, since they've heard claims about his desperate deeds in the forest.

Salza Marble was alarmed. He could only nod his head as he guided each expert out after their examining was completed and of course paid the agreed price.

His eyes were swollen and his previous vigorous physique was reduced as extreme tiredness slowly enveloped him. However, he shook it off.

He was planning on going out of the city maybe he would find someone who could help but that would take days added to the ones he needed to return.

Also, the cities and towns surrounding the Sand-scale city were lower or of the same grades, finding experts who knew about his son's current state was nigh impossible.

Cities or towns with advanced cultivation knowledge were far away and that was also the reason the city could stay 'safe' after the occurrence since nearby towns and cities issued challenges first...

Blood's parents also had an idea that their son's difficulty could be associated with the energy beam which evaded his body. Maybe, just maybe the energy needed some time to settle before it acted and so this result.

Salza grimaced at his foolishness. He should have asked some healing experts to check his son's body for any residual effects, but he remained silent and kept pushing to improve his accomplishments.

He blamed himself for his son's current state!

His wife couldn't do much in this past month as the whole family was in a state of deep worry. Even the guards and other workers were affected.

He couldn't leave his son in this state and simply wait for his success, fighting all by himself, but he didn't know the exact time he would awake. So, he terminated his thoughts and pronounced that he would go out of the city, far away to look for a remedy…

Bang…

A swift burst of light all of a sudden ousted out of Blood's motionless body as the dainty energy pervaded the surrounding space. The cottons were pushed to a forceful course as the room quaked for a moment.

The light permeated every corner of the Marble's grand manor and shot upward towards the heavens.

The energy quickly receded as it came, clearing the stirred-up atmosphere.

Tess..

Ivory was the only one present in Blood's room when the energy escaped his body.

She could clearly see black...liquid ousting out from his body which permeated the whole space. The odor wasn't pleasing in the least bit making her hold in her disgust before she could bear it no more and finally escaped a sneeze.

She could see some glow in the mucus which surprised her. It was similar to the energy which filled the room a moment ago.

The black fluid continued coming out of his body with no sign of stopping as she tried her very best to avoid puking.

She closed the door to Blood's room to avoid others seeing his embarrassed state. She could adjust and bear the smell a little more.

The black fluid ousts though his eyes, nose, mouth, and every pore on his body. After about five minutes with the consistent banging on the door, the fluid finally stopped coming out.

The surging energy radiance in his Spiritual space finally quieted down as everything returned to normal.

Blood finally opened his pressurized eyes subsequently with difficulty after such a long time.

His eyes flashed a crescent light as blood-red energy clouded his pupil. A quick flash was enough as the energy cleared, returning to normal.

The worldly light pierced his pupils which prompted him to close his eyes as he slowly adjusts to the light.

Looking around the floor and how messed up everywhere looked, it will need a thorough cleansing.

"The pendant is really a heaven defying treasure all this while and I just kept it on my neck for so long. Or was it that the blood thingy did all of this, or it was just a requisite to stir it up?" he said to the air with obvious excitement.

Blood was enshrouded with fervor as he could feel he had made a fruitful gain from just this short cultivation, if only it could be called so…

It was really difficult to advance a stage which he completed in a short time. It was a major leap.

He quickly got up from the floor only to see his sister walking slowly towards him.

With the expression on her face, it could only be interpreted as though he had been lost for a long time which puzzled him.

He couldn't help tilting his sore neck.

"How long have I been sitting? How come my neck is so stiff?"

"You silly idiot. Is that the first thing you say after keeping us waiting in silence for so long." Ivory yelled in turn, but a small tint of smile could be seen on her face as she closed in and embraced him hard as she sobs.

Blood was confused as he repeated her words in his mind but kept silent.

She was clearly relieved. Even the smell of the room seemed to disappear.

They soon opened the door which wouldn't stop banging.

It was obvious that the others have noticed the disturbance, drawing them here but didn't want to bring down the door or else, it would have shattered with a light kick from anyone of them.

The door opened and he was greeted by the family and the approaching crowd whose faces had different expressions, difficult to read.

He was genuinely bewildered by the series of events which seemed to look the same.

Salza's mouth was left agape with nothing to say. Situations do turn in an unexpected way especially when someone least expect it.

The odor escaped the room as everyone held their breaths. The smell was unbearable.

The family quickly sat Blood down as they scrutinized him and followed up with questions after questions.

It appeared the night wouldn't be an unpleasant one.
