Kate's expression changed as the air shook. She darted her eyes on the duo and a fierce and cold look swapped with the previously calmed one,
"YOU BOTH ARE TRULY BOLD TO CONTINUE THIS TRICK. I SHOULD'VE TAUGHT YOU A LESSON A LITTLE SOONER." she was now pissed completely, and a whip unwrapped in her hand again. This was wholly different from before as it seems the whip would really do its job this time.
"NO! It hasn't gotten to this. It's really not us this time." Blood quickly repressed her, who was on the verge of hurling her whip. She looked to be really mad this time.
Blood clearly knew he was no match for her even combined with Ballock and their new added strength. She was truly powerful with a Silver realm cultivation base. They couldn't defeat her no matter what they do, he needed to make the matter clear.
"If it wasn't you, then who is it this time around?" her icy voice was heard as she moved some distance from the portal thinking someone else would come through it.
"I honestly can't say any more than this or there'll be severe consequences for both of us." Blood stated. However, he could see her whip growing restless and knew she wasn't buying his plea, so he quickly optioned,
"No matter what, you have to sign this contract if you want to hear more from me." he didn't explain further as he took his chances.
Kate mused as she replied coldly," You have no say on this and you better start speaking while am still at ease. You will be truly overwhelmed when I began."
The air was tensed between both parties as they tried to outmatch one another, but Blood knew he was somewhat lacking and this lady was unpredictable and could lash out at any moment, he would be the one taking the brunt…
Anyway, he persisted, "There would be no progress if young miss doesn't sign the contract. And another thing is that I will loss the same thing whether I decide to tell you or not.
"Besides, one thing you should know is that the moment something happens to me the portal directly crumbles. I'm sure your interests are thoroughly on the portal as I've heard your obsession. There's no way you're interested in me." Blood sneered coolly and stood his ground. Although he quavered towards the end.
"Empty talk!" she gritted her teeth while glancing at the contract's terms.
The portal entrance was strange, and it appeared as if a sophisticated energy was coming from it. There was no way she isn't interested. Although they've disrespected her, she has to see to the end of this.
Contracts are pact used to seal agreements between two or more entities with signified terms which someone can't go against the moment they signed the contract. These contracts are used in many places in the world to seal deals and there are several types of contracts.
Blood was intending to use the power of a contract so that the portal could be concealed. There was no way he'd be letting the free passage to treasuries go just like that.
"Never!" she instantly disagreed the moment she read the third term of the contract,
"So, without your permission I won't be able to enter the portal. Is that it? Won't this just make you the overall master of anything inside the realm?" She asked with a threatening look. This guy isn't serious.
"That's all I ask and only then will I be allowed to tell you. It not that I care for you, but there are powerful entities in there and the moment you stepped into that portal without our guidance, I assure you, you will die." Blood stated in a strong tone as he gained his confidence the more he conversed with the lady.
Kate grimaced when he heard the latter part of his statement but puffed her chest,
"Hehe! This is one of the funniest things I've heard yet. Since you don't care about me you should just let me explore the realm and die as you've accented." She fires back with the same sinister look.
"You still don't understand it seems." Blood sighed as he expressed.
"If you enter and explored the realm and ended up being killed, which undoubtedly you'll be killed, then how are we to escape this place! Furthermore, there would be many guards protecting this place, how are we to maneuver through all of them?" Blood cleared his throats as he continued,
"Let's make this simple. If you can send us out of here unseen, then you're totally free to enter as you like. Your sure death won't be pinned on us by then."
Kate entered a long thought as she realized what he was afraid of and the graveness of her actions. If she entered the portal and ended up dead as he had stressed, they wouldn't be able to leave the courtyard.
And if someone sees them while existing, they would be apprehended and also, the moment they discovered her absence she knew that woman would 'question' them to no end until she was found.
And lastly, if she wasn't found they wouldn't just seize both of them alone, but their families and all those who ever knew them. She knew how overbearing her father could be. The entire region would be thrown in chaos.
She scowled but a thought popped into her mind but kept it to herself.
As if knowing what came into her mind, Ballock who had been observing the situation ever since voices out, "I know you must have thought why we didn't exit from the portal entrance which brought us in, but the truth is that we simply can't.
"As we've previously mentioned, our situation is complicated because, the portal collapsed the instant we entered and had to surfer a great deal before we finally got this exit. Trust me it wasn't easy." Ballock reflected on the perilous situation they were placed prior.
The contract they used was a grade 6 contract which they had found in the domain and although Blood knew the significance of this contract, he still used it since he wanted this matter to be kept between them.
The portal to the Red domain should be kept a secret at all costs. That place still had potential than other places he'd been.
It also came as a total surprise to Kate that these kids could provide a grade 6 contract when she analyzed the contract they presented. She became careful and wondered what they've gone through and if what they really said were true.
With her knowledge she knew what a grade 6 contract meant.
It was of much importance that even top sects and clans don't use this anyhow they want. They were only used when making significant deals. Also, she knew grade 6 contract could only be broken when one has the soul strength of a sixth realm cultivator or by obtaining someone's help at the sixth realm themselves.
Seeing that they were at a stall mate and Blood and his company wouldn't bulge, she signed the contract, but anyone can notice the scornful expression on her face.
What Blood didn't know was that even though it was a sixth-grade contract she had a way of breaking it, so she totally was unafraid of the contract from the beginning and only played along.
Although, it was known that contracts couldn't be broken there are those who could and that was also why they are at the peak of the world. Her father was such person, and he naturally did not keep it from her.
She gingerly signed the contract.
Likewise, what Kate didn't know was that the moment Blood brought the contract out for used the Blood Book panel again appeared in front of him which he had become increasingly used to.
