The sky was empty, dark, and mysterious. It was as if something slumbered behind it. Somehow, it was also kind of peaceful. The city, the buildings, and the streets had been swallowed completely by darkness. A cold wind blew through the empty, dark streets. On top of a tall building sat a boy, staring into the endless, dark sky, feeling a cold shiver run down his spine.
"I'm cold…"
He looked down, feeling nauseous, because he couldn't even see the ground. With shaking hands, he opened a small candy pack and popped a candy into his mouth. His fingers were trambling. The sweet taste was strange and bitter at the same time.
"This candy will be my last snack… even prisoners before execution get something better. Well, who cares now anyway."
He stood slowly up, looked around again, closed his eyes and let himself fall. He shot toward the ground at an immense speed, increasing with every meter. The air rushed past his face, and his heart began to race faster and faster. He looked one last time at the rapidly growing ground below him.
"How unfair this world i-"
He went silent. Everything went silent. It felt like the World stopped for a moment.
There was nothing except pure darkness and whatever lay within it. It was suffocating and deadly. A lifeless core floated through the endless vacuum [a space that contains no matter] in the shape of a small black sphere. Peaceful, free, without worries, emotions, or any human feeling or desires.
Suddenly, there was a small but noticeable change in the continuum [something that goes on without stopping]. Space itself began to warp and the curvature increased rapidly at an immense speed. The fluctuation [basically a change or variation] stretched the space-time further and further.
Out of nowhere a massive black object shot out of the darkness, resembling a tentacle. It moved silently through the void at an unimaginable speed. One that could not be measured by human standards.
The energy was so intense that space could not keep up and broke. Time and space froze, but the object met no resistance at all. It expanded, forming an cold-looking, dark, and ominous - mysterious shell around the black core.
