After the attack, Kaela couldn't sleep.
She sat alone under the moonlight.
Ryven joined her.
"You should rest."
"I can't," she whispered. "Everyone wants me dead."
Ryven sat beside her.
"Not everyone."
Kaela looked at him.
"…Why do you stay?"
He hesitated.
Then said quietly—
"Because when I look at you… I don't see a monster."
Silence.
Her voice softened.
"And what do you feel?"
Ryven didn't look away.
