The next day, Jae-min sat in the cafeteria waiting for Min-woo to return with their food. He hadn't contacted Jihan since the day before, and for some unknown reason, Jihan hadn't reached out either.
Still, Jae-min wasn't overly worried about it. His heart had grown colder over the past few days, leaving him unsure whether his feelings were slowly dying or if intense jealousy had simply made him go numb—if any of that even made sense to him.
A month ago, he had briefly considered abandoning the scheme to follow his heart. But now, he was completely confused about what his heart actually desired.
While revenge had always been the ultimate goal, he couldn't even tell if he was actively pursuing it anymore or just aimlessly messing around. It felt as though he was stalling for reasons he couldn't yet explain. If this was truly about vengeance, he should have executed his plans by now. Yet, he hadn't even made a single convincing move to ruin Jihan.
