KEIFER'S POV
"YOU FUCKING BASTARD!"
I stepped toward Mr. Hale, my fists clenched.
Before I could do anything, Section E stopped me.
"Kiefer, don't."
I looked at them angrily.
"He took Jay."
My voice was shaking with anger.
Then I looked behind me.
Jay was standing there, trembling.
The anger inside me disappeared instantly.
I walked toward her.
"Jay…"
She looked at me with tears in her eyes.
"Keifer…"
She immediately grabbed my shirt.
"Please don't leave me."
I wrapped my arms around her.
"I'm not going anywhere."
I held her tightly.
"You're safe now."
She nodded against my chest.
I looked over her shoulder at Section E.
"Take him outside."
They nodded.
Mr. Hale struggled as they took him away.
But I didn't care.
My attention was only on Jay.
JAYJAY'S POV
We were about to leave when I heard someone shouting outside.
"LET ME GO!"
I froze.
That voice.
I knew it.
Alan.
I looked at Kiefer.
"He's here."
Kiefer's expression immediately changed.
We walked outside.
Alan was standing with a few Section E members around him.
He looked furious.
But the moment he saw me, his expression changed.
"Jay…"
I stepped back.
Kiefer immediately moved in front of me.
"Don't even come near her."
Alan glared at him.
"This has nothing to do with you."
Kiefer laughed bitterly.
"You kidnapped her and somehow you think I have nothing to do with it?"
Alan clenched his jaw.
Then he looked toward his father.
"Dad…"
Mr. Hale looked away.
Alan's face changed.
"You were supposed to keep her there."
Everyone went silent.
My heart dropped.
Kiefer's eyes narrowed.
"So you admit it?"
Alan didn't answer.
Kiefer stepped forward.
"You planned this."
Alan finally looked at him.
"I wanted her to understand that she couldn't keep rejecting me."
My hands started shaking.
Kiefer immediately turned toward Section E.
"Call the authorities."
Alan's face went pale.
"Wait—"
"It's over, Alan."
Kiefer's voice was cold.
"You don't get to control her anymore."
Alan stared at me.
For a moment, nobody spoke.
Then he lowered his head.
Section E took both Alan and Mr. Hale away.
And just like that...
It was finally over.
KEIFER'S POV
I watched until they were gone.
Then I turned around.
Jay was standing there quietly.
I walked toward her.
"Are you okay?"
She nodded.
But I could tell she was still shaken.
I held out my hand.
She took it.
"Let's go home."
She nodded.
As we walked toward the car, she suddenly stopped.
"Kiefer?"
I turned around.
"Hmm?"
She looked at me.
"Thank you."
I smiled softly.
"You don't have to thank me."
She smiled back.
And for the first time in days...
I saw a little happiness return to her eyes.
I squeezed her hand.
"Come on."
She nodded.
We got into the car.
And neither of us knew...
that this wasn't the end of our story.
It was the beginning of something much bigger
