"Ok Stancers… Now those traitors are most likely dealt with… we can get back to our main task—"
*BANG!
A bullet hole was placed right in between her eyes, going all the way through her head, and into the wall in the very back. She stumbled, and fell all the way to the ground, right in the front row. The Stancers were horrified by the fact that their queen is now dead on the floor right in front of them.
Nicola steps forward towards where she once stood, and looks onward at the crowd below him.
"You're FREE!" He announced. "You guys can finally LEAVE!" The crowd looked more pissed off than anything, which was kind of a shock. In fact, they all looked like they wanted him dead on the spot, with the way they were glaring at him. Nicola's eyes widened, when he realised these guys must've been fully brainwashed. I mean, how could someone want to stay here for more time than they have too.
Someone from the front row, came over and climbed onto the podium where Nicola was standing. He hoped that they would be here to congratulate him, but all that happened was a fist flying straight into his jaw.
The whiplash was insane. It felt like someone had just smashed a metal frying pan into his face with the amount of force.
"HOW DARE YOU KILL OUR BOSS!!" They yelled as another fist connected.
Nicola stumbled, and fell onto his butt. Then, that same someone got onto his legs, and started repeatedly punching him with the strength of a madman.
"HOW DARE YOU THINK THAT YOU HAVE ANY SORT OF IDEA ON WHAT WE'RE LIKE!" Nicola at this moment, was starting to revert back to normal, with him now realised the weight of his actions, and how he's probably going to go through hell all over again because of this.
His pupils became more and more sporadic as the seconds ticked by. The guy who was on him, looked somewhat puzzled at what was going on. Then, Nicola shoved them off of his body, and got up before stumbling away, leaving the Stancers alone, not knowing what to do. Nicola walks all the way back to the inside, and walks past a playing dead Drew. He didn't though, that Drew had one eye locked on to where he was going, and once Nicola turned a corner, Drew got up, and slowly followed him from afar.
It didn't take Nicola long for his ass to get out of there, and back onto the winding road. Now going through the front entrance, since there was no one to really stop him.
His mind was wandering in every which way, not knowing what to do with himself, or his life anymore. It's not like he could go back to his original life anyway, they all think of him as a monster. Then he thought about it for a little while longer. What's the point of even escaping anyway? The work wasn't that bad, and nobody knew who he was. Not even those two.
"Huh… at least I never gave them my name…" Nicola says, before looking at the metal weapon in his hands, and slowly moving it towards his own throat. He let the sharp edge, piece his skin before fully committing. The blade slowly dug into the skin, tearing everything in its path. Once a blood vein was pooped, blood bursted out with an intense amount of ferocity. It was absolutely coating the blade in red, overwriting every other stain that was left. The pain was sharp, but almost manageable; for about a second at least. Then he had to flop to the ground, so that he would only focus on not thinking about the pain. His vision stirred as well, watching as the world around him twisted and turned, and also lost all its colour.
Drew rushed over to where he was laying, and just stood there. He didn't know whether or not to help him. His mind and body were conflicting with each other, now knowing whether or not to try and stop the immense bleeding. Nicola looks up, and into Drew's eyes with all the strength he could. All he could really do at that moment, was mouth: Don't save me. Before letting his eyes close for one final time.
There Drew was, standing right next to the dead body or someone who couldn't handle being broken. Drew picked up his body after looking at him long enough, and he took his limp body over to somewhere a lot more fitting.
He had spotted somewhere underneath a tree that could work, so he went over them, and placed his body in a sitting position, up right on the tree. He didn't have a shovel, so no burials for him. Drew knelt down to his level, after making sure it didn't look right. Making sure that he would be able to hear him if his mind was somehow still active after almost a minute of not breathing.
"Huhhhhhhh… I had a feeling you weren't that bad of a guy…" Drew started. "When I first saw you, my heart sank a little bit… but when you were nice to Lukas, I thought you'd changed somehow. I guess not though" His face darkened "If only you were given a better chance at life… maybe, you wouldn't do the mistakes you did before… if only you weren't you, then you'd still be you; with being you, with the best you you'd ever want…" His face darkened some more, as a slight breeze flew through the trees. "I wish… that nobody I know about… will ever make the mistakes you and I made… I'd never wish something like that on anybody…" Drew finally gets up, and places a couple of leaves around his body, before letting him rest in his paradise for good.
Drew makes it over to the steep hill, and climbs, and climbs, and climbs, and climbs, and climbs until he makes it back to the top. The weight of everything, couldn't fully keep him down. He had to be strong, for everyone around him. He had to be an anchor, in case of drifting. He had to make sure that Arthur was safe, even if it cost everything.
He made it back in the woods, and slowly turned his head looking for them. He wondered if that Bhyngaux thing was still out there. He had no idea that Bhyngaux was behind him this whole time.
"Hey…! Don't… Ignore me…!" Drew jumped at him yelling into his ear. Bhyngaux was a little startled too, but he would manage.
"What happened there…? You didn't come back with the rest of them…?" Bhyngaux asked.
"I-it's nothing, man… just know that the other guy isn't coming back with us…" he walked away slowly, letting the static take over his mind for a minute. Bhyngaux tried to say something else to him, but nothing would work.
Just roll over and die like your friends, you fucking hypocrite…
