The sound of bones breaking broke the spell trapping Bulma's attention to amber eyes of the tall stranger in front of her. "No, not stranger, Dean" she thought to her herself.
"Yamcha? What happened to your hand?" Bulma asked while looking at Yamcha's broken fist. Fingers twisted in different directions like a gang sign gone wrong.
"Your new friend, who've spent the last few minutes flirting with, in front of me by the way, did this to me." Yamcha groaned out, but even while in pain he remains in his battle stance. It's a testament to his training and endurance.
Bulma looking slightly embarrassed at being called out on her flirting, realized that she was in the wrong for flirting with another man while in a relationship with Yamcha. Regardless of how rocky and unstable that relationship was, however, unfortunately for Yamcha it also made her remember why she was upset earlier.
"Oh, you have a problem with me flirting with another man. But you don't seem to have a problem with jumping into another woman's bed." Bulma replied in a voice dripping with malice as the illusionary demonic face came back into existence around her.
Yamcha froze, as if her eyesight and accusations were based on movement.
"There's no way, there absolutely no way he cheated on you. I mean you're rich, you're beautiful, and you're super smart; are you mean and emotional unavailable?" Dean asked in a voice that carried his immense disbelief, while secretly fanning the flames. Yamcha, hearing the man's question and disbelief, began to sweat profusely, as Bulma shook her head and answered in a small, sad voice.
"I can be difficult at times just like any partner, but I love fully and always try to make it work. Even when my boyfriend abuses my trust time and time again."
"Bulma, I'm sorry. It was the last time, I swear." Yamcha finally manning up to his mistake's apologies with real sincerity in his voice.
"Hmm, out of curiosity how many times has he cheated and you've forgiven him?" Completely ignoring Yamcha heartfelt words, Dean asked Bulma a question to pull her attention away from Yamcha apology.
"After this last incident, this would make the fifth time. Right, Yamcha?" She questioned.
"Actually, it's the seventh" He replied without thinking, then immediately froze after realizing what he just answered. Bulma demonic aura completely vanished as she looked at the womanizer in front of her, she finally understood that their relationship was a sinking ship. There was no point staying aboard just to drown in the end. With a deep breath and a long sigh. She ended the relationship right there on the front lawn.
"We're done Yamcha, get out."
"But, Bulma, I swear this was the last time. They don't mean anything to me, you are the one I truly care for." Yamcha pleaded with Bulma.
Dean chuckled quietly under his breath as he watched the unfolding drama. "I don't know exactly where I am in the timeline but it's either at the beginning of the Z phase or the space between the Frieza fight and the Android saga. I'll figure it out once they finish their conversation, but I hope it's the beginning of Z or I will have so major catching up to do." Finishing his inner monologue, Dean turns his attention back to couple in front of him.
"The last time? You say that every time and every time I forgive you. Enough is enough, I'm tired of being hurt by you just for you to turn around and do it again. We are done, and this time for good, no more on and off relationships. It's over. Leave." Bulma spoke with a sense of finality in her tone.
"Fine, I'll leave." Yamcha replied before turning to Dean with fire in eyes and venom in his voice "but not before I settle the score with this loser."
"YAMCHA, GET OUT!" Bulma screamed freezing Yamcha in place for the third and in a quieter voice "please, just leave already."
"Tch. Whatever, see you around loser." Yamcha clicked his tongue and flew off into the sky.
Dean chuckled again, this time audible enough for Bulma to hear. "I can't wait till we can have a friendly spar Yamcha"
"What's so funny mister? Is seeing me get my heart broken funny to you?" Bulma asked but her voice didn't carry any heat.
"Of course not, while I'm glad your single. I also know it's not the right time to make my move so to speak. So, I will rescind my offer for dinner at this moment till you're ready to get back out there." Dean quickly corrected her misunderstanding with a smile and a wink.
"Thank you for understanding, now you said something about sending a message to Goku? How do you know Goku and how did you know I knew him?" Bulma began her response with a slight smile but that quickly died when suspicion began to flood her thoughts.
"Goku is someone I've looked up too my whole life, and his fights have truly been an inspiration to me, my contacts told me you where friends. And before you ask, I can't name them, as that is their private information." Dean replied as honestly as possible, he liked Bulma and had every intention of pursuing her, and he did not want to build a relationship with her based off lies. But some truths were just too dangerous to let out.
"Hmm that's still pretty suspicious, but I understand. What is the message you want sent?"
"I challenge Goku to a friendly battle, loser receives a favor from the winner and as a show of good faith I will tell Goku about his race and his people if he accepts the fight."
"His race? Are you saying Goku isn't Human?" Bulma asked in a voice dripping with disbelief and curiosity.
"You would be correct in that assumption pretty lady, now I will return in a day. Hopefully he's given you an answer for me. Farewell Bulma Briefs, it was lovely meeting you and I look forward to seeing you more." Dean said before gently flying upwards and clearing the buildings before launching himself through the sky at a speed faster than sound.
"Did he just casually break the sound barrier? Goku is going be over the moon for a fight like this." Bulma sighed while reaching for her communicator and calling up an old friend who she hasn't spoken to in years.
"Hello! GOKU! Ahh, Chi Chi I swear it wasn't me!" Sighing again, Bulma waited for the chaos on the phone to die down.
"Goku"
"Bulma? It been a long time, what's up?"
"I have someone who want to fight you."
"Is he strong?" His excitement bleeding though the communicator.
"Seems that way, I just saw him fly faster than the speed of sound."
"Is that fast?" Confusion bleeding through this time.
"Yes, Goku, that is really fast."
"Awesome! When should I come?"
"He said he will return tomorrow to hear your answer."
"Great! See you then."
"Wai-" was all Bulma got out before Goku hung up the phone, "I didn't even to get to tell him he might not be human.Oh, well I'll just tell him tomorrow. Sigh, it's been a long day. I need a bubble bath." Bulma thought as she entered her home.
