Chapter 15: Kamui Revealed, First Battle of the Mangekyo Sharingan!

"Human... do you still remember me?"

The golden auspicious beast, the Three-Eyed Golden Lion, appeared somewhat uneasy before Lin Sheng.

Its bright golden eyes were fixed on Lin Sheng's right eye, where the red glow had just receded; it still held a degree of wariness toward Lin Sheng's Sharingan.

"Human, your eyes... what exactly is going on with them?"

The Three-Eyed Golden Lion stubbornly lifted its small head. Its voice resonated in Lin Sheng's mind, carrying a hint of eager inquiry.

"Why, just a moment ago, did I feel my power involuntarily gravitating toward you?"

"I don't understand where this resonance comes from."

Lin Sheng looked at this little creature, who held a supreme status in the Spirit Beast world, yet now acted like a curious baby.

His originally cold state of mind softened slightly, and a faint, almost imperceptible smile curled the corners of his lips.

He then took out another golden-brown chicken leg from his spirit tool and waved it in front of the creature.

"Of course I remember you; you still owe me a chicken leg."

The Three-Eyed Golden Lion's bright golden fur seemed to tremble slightly with embarrassment. It opened its mouth to snatch the chicken leg, yet it continued to stare at Lin Sheng persistently.

"This resonance, perhaps it's not a bad thing," Lin Sheng muttered to himself.

He slowly raised his hand, not activating his Spirit, but instead relying on the residual origin aura from his newly evolved right-eye Mangekyo to condense a faint, dark-red stream of light, which he gently pressed against the Three-Eyed Golden Lion's forehead.

"Hum—!" In that instant!

The Beast God Di Tian, hiding in a void rift and ready to completely eradicate Lin Sheng at the slightest sign of abnormal behavior, suddenly tensed his body. Black dragon power flickered at his fingertips. If Lin Sheng dared to harm the auspicious beast in the slightest, he would likely be reduced to smithereens in the next second.

"Hmm?" However, the anticipated attack did not occur. Di Tian perceived with shock that—

The Eye of Fate on the Three-Eyed Golden Lion's forehead, upon touching Lin Sheng's origin aura, not only did not repel it, but instead, like long-awaited rain after a drought, erupted with unprecedented, brilliant golden light!

The origin of fate within the auspicious beast's body underwent a wondrous oscillation at this moment, becoming more condensed and substantial.

"This... how is this possible?" Di Tian's figure appeared in the shadow of an ancient tree a hundred meters away, his cold, stern face filled with disbelief.

A human's Spirit origin could actually nourish and strengthen the auspicious beast's power of fate?

Lin Sheng also keenly sensed this change. The Sharingan was the eye of ultimate emotion and Spirit, while the Eye of Fate was the embodiment of the laws of this continent... Could it be that the two produced a special resonance in their status?

"It seems that the potential of the Sharingan on the Douluo Continent is something even I have yet to fully fathom."

Lin Sheng withdrew his hand and waved at the Three-Eyed Golden Lion. "I'll give you another chicken leg; we have to say goodbye now. See you next time."

The Three-Eyed Golden Lion held the chicken leg in its mouth, watching Lin Sheng's departing back. Its golden eyes flickered with complex light... and even a trace of unprecedented reluctance.

Di Tian slowly landed beside the auspicious beast, gazing deeply in the direction where Lin Sheng had disappeared, and said in a low voice, "This human... is interesting. His Spirit is too strange."

... On the other side of the forest, Lin Sheng was traveling at high speed through the sea of trees.

"Wow! Lin Sheng, what kind of monster are you exactly?" The Tianmeng Iceworm's voice, filled with a mix of sleaziness and sycophancy, was frantically flooding Lin Sheng's mind.

"I've lived for a million years, and I've never seen a Spirit that could directly devour and assimilate my power!"

"The aura that your eyes erupted with just a moment ago... I felt like my soul was about to be scared away!"

"This is my Body Martial Soul, called the Sharingan," Lin Sheng responded calmly.

"Its evolution requires extremely high mental force and emotional stimulation; your appearance just happened to fill the void in energy."

"Hehehe, looks like I've survived a great disaster and am destined for good fortune! By holding onto your leg, I have a chance to become a god!" The Tianmeng Iceworm twisted its body triumphantly.

"But what's strange is that, according to my million-year cultivation, I should have originally bestowed upon you four Spirit Abilities, but your eyes are too overbearing."

"They forcibly merged and evolved those powers, and in the end, only two remained..."

"That's enough." Lin Sheng stopped in his tracks. Feeling the terrifying power residing in his right eye, a hint of fanaticism flashed in his eyes.

"This fourth Spirit Ability of mine is called Kamui."

The vast mental force bestowed by the Tianmeng Iceworm had been evolved by the Sharingan into the ultimate space-time dōjutsu!

"First is Kamui: Intangibility, which shifts parts of my body or my entire body into an alternate dimension, allowing physical attacks to pass directly through me. This can be called intangibility." Lin Sheng began to explain his fourth Spirit Ability to the Tianmeng Iceworm.

"The second Spirit Ability is Kamui: Distortion, which utilizes spatial distortion at the focal point to forcibly suck the target into an alternate dimension or crush them directly."

The Tianmeng Iceworm, currently located in Lin Sheng's sea of consciousness, shuddered.

"Holy crap..." "I clearly have dual Spirit and Ice attributes, how did your eyes assimilate them into space attributes?" It exclaimed in shock.

As Lin Sheng was speaking, his gaze suddenly sharpened, and his footsteps halted abruptly. "Wait... something has its eyes on me."

Not far ahead was a gloomy and terrifying giant lair, surrounded by the remains of various Spirit Beasts. And in the center of that lair... a behemoth was slowly standing up.

"Boom—!" It was a giant bear over five meters tall, its entire body covered in dark-gold long fur like steel needles.

What was most alarming was... this bear actually possessed a pair of double pupils flickering with evil purple light.

"This is... a Dark-Gold Double-Pupil Bear?!" The Tianmeng Iceworm's voice became serious.

"Lin Sheng, be careful! This kind of bear is a variant of the Dark-Gold Terrorclaw Bear, an ultimate combination of Spirit attributes and assault attributes."

"They are born with a near-pathological desire to kill creatures with special pupils. In their eyes..." The Tianmeng Iceworm clearly knew the inside story! Therefore, it warned Lin Sheng.

"Devouring humans like you who possess high-order pupil Spirits is a shortcut to their evolution!"

The giant bear let out a heaven-shaking roar. Its double pupils locked tightly onto Lin Sheng's Sharingan, which was glowing with red light, revealing undisguised greed and cruelty in its eyes.

"Roar—!" It could feel it. As long as it ate the eyes of the human in front of it, it could break through the 30,000-year shackle and become the top overlord of this forest!

Lin Sheng coldly watched this murderous beast, the pattern in his right eye slowly rotating again.

"Want my eyes?" He slowly raised his right hand, his fingertips tracing through the air, and the surrounding space faintly appeared to ripple. "Give it a try."

Lin Sheng could sense that this Dark-Gold Double-Pupil Bear had about 30,000 years of cultivation, definitely comparable to a Spirit King. But since it had a pair of double pupils, it was both an advantage and a weakness. When it came to eyes, his Sharingan had nothing to fear.
