The rabbit watched Solar Vanguard drift past Juna's shoulder and coiled for another seven-strike burst from the boulder's last landing. Hajin tracked that footing through the curtain's gap, left fist locked around the chain while Juna eased the haft closer.
At the far end of his tether, the hunter's trapped ankle twisted to follow the approaching glaive.
'Nope, you stay right there and enjoy the show with me, ugly.'
"Still swinging all that weight around?" the rabbit sneered, crouching with her claws spread across the rock, "By the time it comes back, I'll be under your pretty guard."
"Big talk from a snack with a limp."
"Snack?"
Juna answered with the blade, turning it toward stone as the rabbit dropped her head low above her damaged heel. Those eyes chased the sweep instead of the rear hand sliding off the haft, a mistake handing Juna the finish.
The rear hand stayed low and empty while the rabbit crouched beneath the edge filling her sight.
