Juna stalked back into the registry before the dust from Toby's scouting trail even settled on his sleeves.
She crossed the room twice while Hajin leaned by the window, the map's four unfinished defense entries lying between them. Outside, two riders carried their report toward the toll road, and her claws kept flexing like they wanted to follow.
Her claws scraped the window stand as she rounded on him, "Let me hunt them down, Master, two riders, two minutes, done."
"Nope."
"Nope?"
"Let them carry the report, every damn word of it," he drawled, keeping both hands well away from his sheathed blade.
Juna shoved the survey closer, ears pinned flat, until its exposed approaches lay between them like evidence.
"They saw the switchbacks, the shelter and exactly where we stood," she snapped, jabbing the terrace route hard enough to dent the paper, "that's a useful report, for them!"
He slapped the map flat before her next angry jab could fold it beneath her hand.
