Hajin followed the prisoner down into the stockade while Hans kept four guards along the carrying route.
The manor cell dissolved only once the captive crossed into the underground chamber behind those four guards on the stair. Hajin set StarGuard's containment upon the new footing and held its feed while Taren tested the chamber's locked outer door.
The prisoner's broken wrist stayed splinted against his chest beneath the ward's inner panel.
Hajin set the recovered oil flask beyond the bars and crouched, "Right, skip the sobbing, who opened the manor route?"
The man stared at the flask, then pressed his face into his uninjured hand.
A medic checked his breathing earlier and left a dented water cup beside the lower panel, well within his reach. Taren stood outside the physical bars, arms folded, while Hans waited above the stockade stair with the patient witness clerk.
"You said quarry labor if I gave the names," the captive rasped, lifting his face toward the panel.
