Megumi Kato was the first to select her weapon—a pitch-black dagger gleaming with a cold light. Holding it up, she asked Maya, "How much is this dagger?"
Seeing Megumi's choice, Maya nodded in approval. "That dagger is one of the best weapons I have here. If you want it, I'll give it to you for 300,000 Valis on account of Ren."
Megumi paused, startled by the price. "Only 300,000? Won't you take a loss?"
The materials used for the weapon in her hand were far from ordinary. She had seen her older brother's weapon, which was made of similar materials, but that one had cost several million to acquire.
And this one was only 300,000? Even though it was a dagger and much shorter than her brother's tachi, it should still be worth more than that, right?
"I definitely won't take a loss. Don't worry, how could I possibly run a loss-making business?" Maya smiled faintly. It seemed this girl knew her stuff; otherwise, she wouldn't have asked if she was losing money.
She sourced the materials herself, and her husband forged the weapons, so how could she lose money? She was still turning a profit; it was just a matter of how much.
Arms dealing had been the most lucrative business since ancient times, and her shop was no exception. For Ren's sake, she was willing to give these girls a discount. Who knows, it might bring some pleasant surprises in the future.
"Alright, I'll take this dagger then," Megumi said without much hesitation, immediately claiming the weapon. She was getting a steal, so what was there to hesitate about?
"Mhm, just transfer the money to this card number." Seeing this, Maya pulled out a business card and handed it to her. It only had a few lines of text on it.
Her name, contact information, and bank account details—clearly meant for receiving payments. Megumi took the card, pulled out her phone, and began the transfer.
While she was handling the transaction, Yukino Yukinoshita also finished picking out the short sword she wanted. However, her weapon was more expensive than Megumi's, costing over 500,000 Valis.
The other classmates soon finalized their choices as well. In this single wave, Maya raked in several million. Ren's classmates were all incredibly wealthy... well, except for Ren himself.
Even Asuna bought a new rapier. It was a significant upgrade from her current one, making it the most expensive weapon purchased.
After everyone had bought their weapons, they finally headed downstairs. Seeing the gear in everyone's hands, Ren couldn't help but mutter to himself. *Rich girls really are rich girls. They don't even blink when dropping that much cash.*
"Thanks for the hard work, Ren. If any of your other classmates need weapons next time, feel free to send them my way!" Maya looked at Ren with a beaming smile. She had made quite a haul today.
"Sure thing, Maya. If anyone needs anything, I'll recommend your place." The quality of Maya's weapons was top-notch, so Ren naturally didn't mind drumming up some business for her.
"Hehe! By the way, I also buy materials here. If you guys ever have anything to sell, you can come to me. Besides that, if you're ever looking for spatial equipment, you can also hit me up." Maya looked at Asuna and the others, dropping this bombshell with a smiling face.
At the mention of spatial equipment, Asuna's eyes instantly lit up. "Do you have spatial rings?" she asked excitedly. "How big are they? And roughly how much do they cost?"
Spatial equipment was incredibly rare in this world. Sometimes, even if you had the money, you couldn't necessarily buy it. Asuna had wanted her own spatial equipment for a long time.
But she had never been able to find a good one. Now, hearing that this shop had them, she was immediately tempted. She was also quite shocked—just what kind of background did Ren's "Maya" have to be able to get her hands on such items?
"Spatial rings, huh? I don't have any of those at the moment. If you want one, I can keep an eye out for you. The materials are just too scarce, so they have to be custom-ordered," Maya said, shaking her head. This girl really was loaded.
Going straight for a spatial ring? The materials for those were incredibly hard to come by, and she probably wanted one with a large capacity, which made it even rarer. Still, she could help keep a lookout.
Hearing this, Asuna felt a bit regretful, but not overly disappointed. Just having someone willing to help her keep an eye out was already fantastic.
At the very least, it meant she had a chance to buy one, right? Thinking of this, Asuna immediately said, "Then I'll have to trouble you to keep an eye out for me, Maya. If you come across one, please let me know!"
"Me too, I'd like one as well," Yukino chimed in. If Asuna wanted one, how could she not? So, without hesitation, she also asked Maya to keep a lookout.
"Alright, no problem. Let's add each other as friends then." Maya looked at the two girls with a smile, pulling out her phone and displaying her QR code for them to scan.
Seeing this, Asuna and Yukino quickly took out their phones and added Maya. A connection like this had to be secured. The other girls, seeing this, also stepped forward to add her.
Even if they didn't have the money to buy a spatial ring right now, having the contact meant they could always buy one later when they were capable enough!
Maya welcomed all of these girls, accepting every friend request. Once that was done, she said, "Actually, there's no need for you to get spatial rings right now. If a spatial backpack works for you, I have one ready to go."
After adding the girls, Maya recommended the spatial equipment she currently had in stock—a spatial backpack with a rather sizable capacity.
"A spatial backpack? You have one?" Asuna was immediately tempted. If she couldn't get a spatial ring, a spatial backpack would be a great alternative. Plus, it would definitely come in handy next Monday.
"I do. If you want it, I can bring it out for you right now. It's designed for expeditions. Having a backpack like this makes things much easier out in the wild," Maya explained with a smile.
Hearing this, Asuna hesitated for a moment before asking, "How much is it? What's the capacity? Can I take a look at it first?"
She was very interested. Having a spatial backpack would make things much easier. After all, entering the Dungeon required carrying all sorts of supplies, and she didn't want to lug around a heavy, normal backpack. That would severely impact her combat effectiveness.
"It's 3x3x3. As for the price, it's a flat rate of 30,000,000 Valis." Maya stated the capacity and the price, then turned and walked into the back room to retrieve the spatial backpack.
3x3x3 meant 3 meters long, 3 meters wide, and 3 meters high—roughly the size of a small room. It could hold a massive amount of items. If things were folded and packed neatly, the amount of stuff you could cram inside was staggering.
But the price was equally absurd. Thirty million! This thing simply wasn't meant for ordinary people to play around with. When Ren heard the price, he was already screaming internally.
*That's too damn expensive! No wonder they say this stuff is exclusive to the rich. An average family could never afford this. If a backpack costs this much, spatial rings must be priced in the billions!*
