Ren heard Jin-sensei voice his inner thoughts and felt a bit awkward. It seemed he had overthought things.
"There is no magic for storing general items. Otherwise, why do you think spatial equipment exists? Everyone would just learn that magic instead of needing spatial gear." Jin-sensei looked at Ren with amusement.
*That makes sense. Indeed, if such magic existed, spatial equipment wouldn't be so expensive. I guess no one has researched and developed it yet?*
*Or perhaps we haven't connected to enough worlds yet, so there isn't any magic in that specific field for now. Maybe it will appear in the future?*
"Let's put that aside. Next, I'll teach you how to use this magic to store your weapon." Jin-sensei pushed up his glasses and began explaining the principles of the spell to Ren.
"After reaching Tier 4, your Magic Power can be projected outward. What you need to do next is master this magic and engrave a magic mark onto your weapon," Jin-sensei said slowly, breaking down the spell for Ren step by step.
After hearing it just once, Ren understood. It was essentially like signing a contract with his own weapon, allowing it to be stored within a Magic Circle.
Furthermore, the Magic Circle cast by each person was unique. It acted as an encryption that only the individual could use to store their weapon.
This magic involved spatial elements, but not heavily; it relied much more on the contractual aspect. If he were to truly explain it in depth, Jin-sensei could have lectured Ren for an entire day.
Therefore, he skipped the complex theories and directly explained how to cast the spell. By the time he finished, Ren already knew exactly what to do.
"Have you learned it?" Jin-sensei looked at Ren with anticipation. If he hadn't grasped it yet, he was fully prepared to explain it again.
Ren nodded. He picked up his weapon and applied a mark to it. Once the mark was set, Ren channeled his Magic Power, and the Tang Dao was instantly absorbed into the Magic Circle.
After doing this, a new idea popped into Ren's mind. *Using this magic as a storage space isn't entirely impossible, but it would require a medium.*
*Just like marking a weapon, if I mark a container and use it as a spatial medium, I could achieve a storage effect. It would just be a bit troublesome to take out the items I need every time.*
*Because I'd have to summon the entire medium, it would be like carrying a portable warehouse with me. That wouldn't be too bad.*
*I'll research it later. No need to overthink it for now.* Having acquired another new spell, Ren was in a rather good mood.
From now on, he wouldn't have to walk around carrying his Tang Dao everywhere. Whenever he needed it, a single spell would summon it right into his hand.
Watching Ren store his weapon, Jin-sensei nodded in satisfaction and continued, "Actually, this magic is quite useful in combat too. For example, what if you suddenly summon your weapon during close-quarters combat?"
At those words, Ren immediately pictured the scene. *While exchanging blows with an opponent, if I suddenly summon my weapon right in front of them, I could catch them completely off guard and land a devastating strike!*
*Yeah, it looks like I'll have to watch out for sneaky bastards like that in the future.* He definitely didn't want someone getting close only to ruthlessly stab him.
"Then I'll have to be careful from now on!" Ren nodded with utmost seriousness. Such a tactic was far too insidious; he had to be on guard against it.
"As long as you understand. However, it is possible to interfere with the summoning process. Not to mention, people who can dual cultivate both martial arts and magic to such a degree are quite rare. Most people only master one path." Jin-sensei looked at Ren, amused.
Having such a cautious mindset was good, but Ren didn't need to worry too much. After all, not just anyone could pull it off, and even if they could, it was highly unlikely Ren would encounter them.
"But there will always be someone who can do it, so I have to be prepared!" Ren didn't deny Jin-sensei's words, but caution was still necessary. He just had to be more careful in the future.
Jin-sensei nodded and didn't dwell on the matter. Since Ren had already learned the new spell, he decided to use the remaining travel time to the Dungeon to explain a few other spells.
Whether Ren could learn them or not was up to him. Jin-sensei couldn't demonstrate them right now since they were still on the bus. If they were outside, he could have shown off a bit.
But it shouldn't be a big problem. Ren could grasp many things after hearing them just once, so a physical demonstration didn't really matter. If that was the case, there was a whole lot more he could teach him.
Even though there were some spells Jin-sensei couldn't cast himself, he still knew their underlying principles, so explaining them to Ren wasn't an issue.
For the rest of the journey, Ren sat beside him, listening intently as Jin-sensei explained the theories and applications of various magic spells. Behind them, Asuna and the others exchanged bewildered glances.
In truth, they couldn't understand the conversation at all. Some of the concepts had already entered their intellectual blind spots—they simply hadn't learned any of this yet.
*Is this what it feels like to have a Heaven-tier cultivation manual placed right in front of you, but you can't read a single word of it? How frustrating!*
The bus carrying Ren and his group soon arrived in front of a massive building. Upon arriving, everyone immediately noticed a significant increase in patrol squads.
While it wasn't quite heavily guarded at every step, the security was still exceptionally strict. The bus drove directly into the colossal structure. After passing through a dimly lit tunnel, a vast, open area came into view.
Many parts of the interior were still under construction. In fact, Ren suspected that this massive building had only been erected recently.
In an era of magic, constructing such a large building was like child's play. It wouldn't even take a single night; two or three hours would be more than enough to finish it.
As the bus entered the facility, everyone on board was captivated by the swirling, blue-glowing portal in the center of the area. Was that the Dimensional Rift?
The bus slowly came to a halt in an open clearing. Seeing this, Jin-sensei stood up and called out to the students, "Everyone, get off the bus first, and make sure not to wander around!"
Hearing Jin-sensei's voice, the students snapped out of their daze caused by the Dimensional Rift and orderly followed him off the bus.
When Ren and the others stepped off the bus, several teachers had already gathered together and were speaking with a middle-aged man.
After disembarking, the students hurriedly gathered near the teachers and stood in formation, waiting for further instructions. However, their eyes were still frequently drawn to the massive portal.
Many of them grew increasingly excited. After all, this was the first time most of them had ever seen a Dimensional Rift—Ren included.
On the other side of that Dimensional Rift was an entirely different world. How could that not be captivating? Furthermore, judging by the surrounding setup, it was obvious that the higher-ups intended to turn this place into something resembling an instanced dungeon.
