Chapter 67 - I Want an Orange-Flavored One

Hearing the numerous issues Asuna pointed out, Rina-sensei nodded thoughtfully. She immediately took out a pen and recorded everything Asuna said. "I will add these suggestions as formal supplementary clauses."

After speaking, she cast an approving glance at Asuna and the others. Her current thoughts mirrored Ren's perfectly: none of these wealthy girls were simple.

Like Ren, she wasn't particularly skilled in business negotiations. The two of them had initially thought the contract looked fine, but if they didn't include these detailed clauses, any future issues could have a massive impact.

Baoshutang's reputation was naturally beyond reproach, but commercial cooperation was a long-term endeavor. Factoring in all these meticulous clauses ensured that even if there were personnel changes on their end in the future, it wouldn't bring any risks.

She was confident that Baoshutang wouldn't object to these additions, as they served as a protection for both parties.

Rina-sensei directly incorporated all the issues Asuna raised. Now, all they had to do was head over, finalize the contract, and sign it.

"Thank you for your help, my wealthy benefactresses!" Ren looked at Asuna and the others, thanking them with utmost seriousness. His words earned him a prompt eye roll from Asuna.

"You can skip the thanks. Just go research some more potion flavors to sell to us later. Drinking the same flavor all the time gets boring, you know!" Asuna didn't take the matter to heart.

To them, this was nothing more than a trivial matter. As soon as her voice fell, Sora leaned in and asked, "Ren, can you research an orange-flavored Red Potion? I love oranges!"

"Are you making a wish right now?" Ren rolled his eyes in exasperation at Sora's request. *Does she think I'm a genie? Are potions that easy to mix? And she specifically wants an orange-flavored one!*

"Wow, you really turn on a dime, don't you? You were just thanking us a second ago, and the moment I bring this up, you instantly flip your attitude!!" Sora laughed out of sheer anger.

He had been thanking them so sincerely, only to turn hostile the next second. This jerk was giving her absolutely zero face. It was infuriating!

Seeing this, the others couldn't help but laugh. While everyone was joking around, the bus arranged by the school arrived. Seeing this, Rina-sensei stopped their banter. "Alright, get on the bus first. It's time for us to head back."

Hearing Rina-sensei's words, Ren stopped bickering with Sora and hurriedly grabbed his things to board the bus. When they first arrived, there had been several teachers, but now, the rest of them were still fighting inside the Dungeon.

For this return trip, only Rina-sensei was leading them. Who knew when the other teachers would finally make it out? However, that wasn't something Ren and the students needed to worry about.

Boarding the bus, the group began their journey back to school. However, Ren and Rina-sensei got off halfway. Under Rina-sensei's lead, Ren headed to Baoshutang to sign the contract with them.

When the manager in charge saw how young Ren was, she was quite surprised. *A student actually came up with this?* This realization made her even more thrilled.

To possess such talent at such a young age was truly remarkable. He was a massive stock of potential. Since Ren could improve this formula now, he could certainly improve others in the future. Because of this, she looked forward to his future even more.

Ren left all the contract negotiations to Rina-sensei.

Rina-sensei directly stated the additional clauses they wanted to include. Naturally, Baoshutang had no objections. After all, their desire to cooperate was genuine and highly sincere.

These were just minor details, so adding them was harmless. The negotiation went incredibly smoothly. Once they confirmed there were no issues, the contract was printed out.

Neither party had any objections to the contents, so the signing process went off without a hitch. Once the final official seal was stamped, the contract officially went into effect.

After both parties had signed, the manager spoke with utmost sincerity, "Student Ren, if you manage to improve any other medicines in the future, please don't hesitate to contact us. The terms will be the same, and we will absolutely meet your requirements."

Ren nodded upon hearing this, though he didn't make any concrete promises. He would cross that bridge when he actually came up with a new formula. After exchanging some pleasantries, Rina-sensei led Ren out of the building and they began their journey back to school.

On the way, his homeroom teacher, Rina-sensei, kept nagging him about various things—like not spending his money recklessly once he got it, and not casually showing off his wealth to others.

She chattered non-stop beside him like a mother hen, but Ren didn't resist. Instead, he listened earnestly and assured her that she didn't need to worry too much about those things.

When the car arrived at the school gates, Rina-sensei led Ren inside and said, "You head to the classroom first. I need to make a trip to the Director's office. I'll be there in a bit."

Ren nodded without saying anything else. After parting ways with her, he headed straight to his classroom. His classmates had already returned.

Everyone was chatting idly in the classroom. Seeing Ren return and take his seat, Asuna couldn't help but ask, "What's the plan now? Did Rina-sensei say anything?"

Hearing Asuna's question, Ren shook his head and sat down at his desk. "She went to find the Director. We have to wait a bit for her to come back."

Asuna nodded. If nothing unexpected happened, they would probably be dismissed from school shortly. After all, several teachers hadn't returned with them.

"If we get dismissed later, let's go process those materials," Ren said, suddenly remembering something as he turned to look at Asuna. That entire backpack full of materials still needed to be dealt with.

"No problem. Oh, right, keep that piece of bone material to forge a Magic Staff. We won't sell that one. In the future, any materials that we can actually use should be distributed like this. What do you think?" Asuna voiced her thoughts.

They had initially agreed to split the materials equally, but it made sense to take out the useful items for themselves first and split the rest. Today it was an item Ren could use; tomorrow it might be something someone else needed.

"No problem." Ren didn't want to nitpick over these things anyway, and Asuna's idea was solid. Whoever could use the collected materials would get them, and they would sell the rest.

About ten minutes later, Rina-sensei arrived at the classroom and announced to the crowd, "You have the rest of the day off. Go home and rest for now, and we'll resume classes tomorrow. After you get back, don't forget to meditate. You still haven't fully digested your potions."

After saying this, she left without looking back. Judging by her hurried demeanor, she likely had other urgent matters to attend to. Her final words also reminded the students of the potions they had chugged right after entering the Dungeon—they still hadn't completely absorbed the effects!

After Rina-sensei left, Ren stood up. Asuna, Yukino Yukinoshita, and Megumi Kato immediately followed suit. The four of them prepared to walk out of the classroom together.

Just as they were about to leave, Ren suddenly remembered something and called out toward Sora, "Sora, we're heading to Maya's place to process our materials. Do you want to come along?"

He figured he might as well send some business Maya's way. His words instantly drew the attention of everyone in the class. Leo couldn't help but ask, "Ren, you know someone in that line of business?"

Naturally, everyone hoped to sell the items on hand for a good price. At a time like this, they needed a reliable buyer.

"Yeah, the owner of the weapon shop buys all sorts of materials. If you guys want to sell, you can come with us," Ren replied casually. He then watched as his classmates began discussing it among themselves.

Soon after, the class decided to follow Ren. Without anyone realizing exactly when it happened, the students in this class had become entirely willing to center themselves around Ren and his group.

Sora called her close friends over, then stood up and walked out, saying, "Let's go, let's go, we'll head over together. While we're at it, I need to order a Spatial Backpack from Maya!"

This trip to the Dungeon had made her realize the absolute necessity of a Spatial Backpack, so she wanted to order one. No matter what, she was going to make her family cough up the money for it.

"That depends on your luck if she even has one in stock. Let's go!" After speaking, Ren headed outside. Instead of taking the stairs, he simply vaulted over the railing and jumped straight down from the upper floor.

Watching this scene, Yukino and the others were left speechless, but everyone quickly followed his example. It was faster this way, and wasn't this exactly what they learned martial arts for?

The group trailed after Ren. At this time, students in other classes were still in the middle of their lessons, so Ren and his group walking through the school like this naturally drew a massive amount of attention.

Many students were curious about what this special class was up to. When they saw the group walking straight out of the school gates, they were stunned.

And the security guards didn't even try to stop them, just letting Ren and his group leave? Was the special class really that lenient? Nobody was managing them at all?

Ren had no idea what the students in the school were thinking. He led his classmates directly to Maya's weapon shop. At this moment, Maya was bored out of her mind, playing on her phone behind the counter.

Selling weapons was usually a business where you might not make a sale for three years, but one sale would feed you for three years. Because of this, she had a lot of free time. Plus, it wasn't peak season yet. Her business would only pick up when the school officially had the students select their weapons.

While Maya was scrolling through videos, a large group of people walked in from outside. Noticing this, Maya put away her phone and stood up. When she saw who it was, she was quite surprised.

"Ren? Weren't you guys out for combat training?" Seeing Ren bring so many people over, Maya was taken aback. *Who are all these people? Was the training only for one day?*

"Something happened over there, so we came back early. Maya, we're here today to sell materials." Ren gave a brief explanation before stating his purpose.

Hearing this, Maya didn't pry any further. Instead, her curiosity was piqued. How much of a haul did Ren get this time? And bringing so many people over—this was a huge business opportunity.

"Easy to handle, easy to handle. Bring out the materials you want to process." Maya walked out from behind the counter with a beaming smile. *This batch must be goods from that new Dimensional Rift, right?*

Seeing this, Asuna was the first to step forward. She opened her Spatial Backpack and took out a massive pile of materials. When Maya saw the sheer mountain of Magic Stones, she was astonished.

*Are there really this many Magic Stones in that Dungeon?* Just as she was thinking this, the others successively brought out their own Magic Stones. Although their quantities couldn't compare to Ren and Asuna's group, it was still a substantial amount.

Now Maya understood. That new Dimensional Rift was likely overflowing with these things. It seemed she would need to adjust her business strategy moving forward.

Aside from the stones, there were also some special monster materials. Looking at these items, Maya stepped forward and began inspecting them. After confirming their quality, she said, "The quality of these Magic Stones is quite good. If you sell them to me, I can buy them per piece."

Maya took a quick look; they were all Tier 1 and Tier 2 Magic Stones. They were definitely good stuff. She didn't plan on scamming these kids, so she offered to buy them at twenty percent below the standard market price.

She announced her quoted price. Hearing her words, everyone's eyes instantly lit up. Being able to get a price like this was already incredibly generous.

If they sold them to anyone else, getting even fifty percent of Maya's price would be considered fantastic. Thinking this, the crowd eagerly agreed.

Everyone was more than willing to sell their Magic Stones to Maya. Ren and his group weren't in a hurry; they waited until Maya had finished settling the accounts for the other students before processing their own. At the same time, Ren took out the white bone and said, "Maya, could I trouble your husband to forge this into a Magic Staff?"

Looking at the bone, Maya nodded. "Of course, no problem. If you want it, I'll just have your brother-in-law make it for you. It's a fantastic piece of material."

She had already caught a glimpse of the bone earlier. It was exceptional. A Magic Staff forged from it would be more than sufficient for someone at Ren's current level; they just needed to add a few supplementary materials during the forging process.

"Then I'll leave it in your hands. Whatever the fee is, just deduct it directly from the sale of these materials," Ren hurriedly stated his requirements.

"Alright, let me calculate it for you. You guys have quite a large number of Magic Stones here. It looks like that Dimensional Rift produces a ton of these? I'll have to make some adjustments on my end from now on." Maya chatted with Ren and the girls while calculating the price of their materials.

Hearing Maya's words, Ren nodded. Glancing at his classmates, he said, "I won't hide it from you, the price of Magic Stones is definitely going to plummet in the future. Because inside that Dimensional Rift, these things are practically worthless."

Hearing this, Maya froze. She looked up at Ren and said in utter astonishment, "Is that so? Then I need to offload my current inventory immediately."

This was crucial information. Even though Ren said this, she had no intention of lowering her purchase price for them. She could still make a profit by selling this batch of Magic Stones to others later.

In fact, this news was incredibly valuable to her. After all, she still had a large stockpile of materials and Magic Stones on hand. If they were going to become worthless in the future, she needed to get rid of them as early as possible.

"This news hasn't spread yet. I think it would be best for you to make preparations early, Maya," Asuna chimed in at this moment, advising the shop owner to get ahead of the curve.

After all, that place would be opened to the public sooner or later. When that happened, the price of Magic Stones would absolutely crash like an avalanche. It was better to offload everything on hand as soon as possible. Better someone else takes the fall than them!

"Of course. Thank you so much for bringing me this information. Alright, the total is calculated. Tsk tsk, you guys made an absolute killing this trip."

Maya nodded, then stood up and announced the final calculated sum.
