Chapter 1 - chapter 1 the invitation

The notification came at 2:17 AM.

Not a message.Not a call.Just a single line on the screen:

"Do you want to play?

"I stared at it, half-asleep, eyes burning from hours of pointless scrolling.

Unknown sender. No number. No app icon.Just… there."Spam," I muttered, tossing the phone beside me.

The room was silent again. Too silent.Then—buzz.The phone vibrated harder this time.Same message.

"Do you want to play?

"I frowned. "What kind of cheap prank…"I pressed and held the message

. No options. No delete. No block.Weird.

"Fine," I whispered, tapping No.For a second, nothing happened.

Then the screen flickered.Glitched.Like something behind the display was… breathing. The text changed.

"Choice rejected."

A pause."Game initializing."My chest tightened

."Wait—what?"The lights in my room went out.Not flickered.

Not dimmed.Gone.Darkness swallowed everything.

My phone slipped from my hand, hitting the floor with a dull crack.

The screen stayed on, casting a faint glow upward—just enough to see my own reflection

.But it wasn't… right.I was still sitting on the bed.But in the reflection—I was standing. My breath hitched.

The reflection tilted its head slowly.Smiling.I scrambled back, heart slamming against my ribs.

"This isn't funny. Who's doing this?!"No answer.

Just the voice. Not from the phone. Not from outside.Inside my head.

"Welcome, Player 27.

"Cold.Calm.Unfamiliar."

Level 1 will now begin.

"The floor beneath me shifted. No—it opened.Like reality itself had seams, and someone just tore it apart.I fell.

Not fast. Not slow.Just… wrong.Endless darkness wrapped around me, swallowing sound, thought,

everything—until—impact.Hard concrete.I gasped, choking on dust as pain shot through my arms.

The air smelled… old. Rotten.I pushed myself up, blinking. The darkness was gone.Replaced by a dim, flickering light above.

A room.No—a hall.Wide. Empty.And not empty.People.Five of them.Standing in a straight line, facing me.All silent.All staring.

My throat went dry. "Where… where am I?"

No one answered.Instead, something behind me clicked.

I turned.A massive digital screen lit up across the wall.Numbers began to count down:00:10:00Ten minutes'

.Text appeared beneath it

.LEVEL 1: TRUST TEST

My pulse spiked.Another line appeared."Among the five players in front of you, one is a traitor."

I swallowed hard."Identify the traitor before time runs out.

"The people didn't move.Didn't speak.Just watched me.

Then the final line appeared. And this time—I felt it.Like ice crawling under my skin.

"Failure will result in total elimination."

Silence.Heavy.Suffocating.My hands trembled as I looked at them—one by one.

Five strangers.One liar.Or maybe…Something worse.

The timer ticked down.00:09:32And then—one of them smiled.
