Chapter 1: That First Look I Could Never Forget
It was evening. A light rain was falling, soft and steady. The road was crowded, yet somehow everything felt empty.
I was standing at the bus stop, getting wet, lost in my own thoughts.
Life hadn't been easy for the past few months. Nothing felt right anymore. I didn't feel like talking to anyone.
"Excuse me…"
A soft voice reached my ears.
I turned around and for a moment, I just froze.
There she was, standing in the rain. Her hair slightly wet, her eyes calm, like she wasn't in a hurry for anything.
"Your phone… I think you dropped it."
She held my phone out toward me.
I didn't even realize when it had fallen.
"Oh… thank you…"
I said, a little nervous, taking it from her hand.
She smiled softly and stood beside me.
For a few moments, there was silence between us.
But it didn't feel awkward. It felt like something was connecting without words.
"Do you take the bus from here?" she asked.
"Yes… every day."
"That's nice… then we'll meet every day."
She said it so casually, but my heart suddenly started beating faster.
I couldn't say anything.
I just kept looking at her.
And she kept looking at the rain.
At that moment, I didn't know that this meeting would become the most beautiful story of my life…
Or the most painful memory.
All I knew was…
Something had changed.
That day, I didn't know…
That the next time I would see her… she would belong to someone else.
