Jay's POV:
I am sooo happy and excited because today is my sons' wedding day!
Yes! Kaith and Jace are getting married to Yumi and Ellina.
I am roaming around the house, giving instructions to the maids and telling them how to decorate everything.
"Jay, come on, let's go," Keifer said while putting on his watch. He then fixed his hair.
"Yeah, yeah! I'm ready," I said.
He grabbed my waist, and we both went downstairs.
As soon as I reached downstairs, I saw Kaith fixing Jace's collar.
"Let's go, boys," Keifer said.
They both nodded.
Kaith got into his car, while Jace got into his.
Keifer and I got into our car, and soon, we reached the venue.
The church was decorated beautifully.
"Mama, I am so nervous," Jace said.
I smiled and fixed his hair.
"Don't worry, baby. Everything is going to be fine," I said.
Soon, the church doors opened, and Yumi and Ellina walked in, holding Yuri and Ella's hands.
I smiled and wiped my tears.
"Okay, let's start the wedding," the priest said.
Keifer and I stood in the corner as the priest began the wedding ceremony.
Throughout the whole ceremony, Kaith and Jace kept looking at me.
They may have grown up, but they were still mama's boys.
"Okay, you may now kiss your brides," the priest said.
Kaith and Jace leaned down and kissed their brides.
We all cheered.
"Jay, take care of our daughter," Ella said while holding my hands.
"Of course, Ella. They are my daughters too," I said with a smile.
Yumi and Ellina hugged Yuri and Ella and cried a little.
Seeing them like that made me emotional too.
"Okay, we're leaving now," Keifer said to Yuri before hugging him.
Keifer and I left early so we could prepare everything at home and welcome the newlyweds.
As soon as we reached home, we started preparing everything.
Soon, Kaith and Jace arrived with Yumi and Ellina.
"I can't believe we're married!" Yumi said, giggling.
"You are still ugly," Jace said.
"What did you say?!" Yumi shouted.
And just like that, they started arguing again.
Jace and Yumi had been arguing and fighting with each other since they were born, but at the end of the day, they always acted like best friends.
"Okay, enough! Let's go to your rooms. You all must be tired," I said.
They nodded and soon went to their rooms.
Years passed...
"Grandpaa!" Kain shouted as he ran toward Keifer.
"You said you would give me a piggyback ride!" he said, crossing his arms.
Keifer laughed.
"Of course I did! Come here, little monster."
Kain immediately climbed onto Keifer's back.
I shook my head while laughing.
Some things really never changed.
Kain was Kaith's son. Kaith had twins—a baby girl and a baby boy.
The girl's name is Kaira, and she is everyone's favorite because she was the only little girl in our family.
The boy's name is Kain, and he is just like his dad
Jace also had a son named Jack, who is equally naughty and mischievous, just like his dad.
"Grandpa, let me massage your head," Kaira said as she climbed onto Keifer's lap.
"My princess wants to give Grandpa a massage?" Keifer asked with a huge smile.
He started tickling her.
Kaira immediately started giggling, and her laughter filled the whole room.
"Where are my cookies, Grandma?" Jack asked as he ran toward me.
I chuckled and handed him a cookie.
"You already ate two. Your mom is going to scold you," I said.
"But you will save me, like always," he said before kissing my cheek.
I smiled.
"Of course I will."
Keifer looked at me and laughed.
"You spoil them too much, Jay."
"And you don't?" I asked.
He immediately looked away.
"Okay... maybe I do."
I laughed.
Looking at them all, I suddenly remembered the past.
The days when Keifer used to act like a childish little kid.
The days when he would annoy me for no reason, tease me, make silly faces, and sometimes drive me crazy with his childish behavior.
Back then, I never imagined that one day we would be sitting together as grandparents, watching our children and grandchildren grow up.
But here we were.
After all those years, so much had changed.
We had grown up.
Our children had grown up.
And now, we had grandchildren running around our house.
But one thing had never changed.
Our love.
Our love had only grown stronger with every passing year.
We had gone through fights, silly arguments, laughter, tears, happy moments, difficult moments, and countless memories together.
From two people who were still trying to understand each other...
To husband and wife...
To parents...
And now...
To grandparents.
I looked at Keifer, who was sitting on the sofa with Kaira on his lap and Kain still hanging onto his back.
He caught me staring at him.
"What?" he asked.
I smiled.
"Nothing."
He smiled back and reached for my hand.
I held it.
Years had passed, but whenever he held my hand, I still felt the same warmth I had felt all those years ago.
Keifer leaned closer to me.
"Jay?"
"Hmm?"
"Do you still love me?"
I smiled.
"More than ever."
He smiled like a little child again.
"I love you too."
I laughed softly.
Who would have thought that the childish Keifer I once knew would become the man I would spend my whole life with?
And who would have thought that our love story would bring us all the way here?
We started as two people trying to figure out life together.
Then we became a family.
And now, we were sitting together as grandparents, surrounded by the people we loved the most.
Our love had grown through every stage of our lives.
From childish love...
To mature love...
To a love that had lasted a lifetime.
And as I looked at Keifer and our noisy little family, I smiled.
This was our happily ever after.
Not because everything was perfect...
But because we had each other.
And after all these years...
Keifer was still my favorite person. ❤️
