Anning's POV
"Ha! I don't even know why I'm disappointed." The words left my mouth before I could even stop them, not that I found it necessary.
I stared at Wanqing, waiting for her to say something that would make the stuffy feeling in my chest disappear. Instead, she only frowned slightly and looked at me as though she genuinely didn't understand what I had just said.
"What do you mean by that?" She asked coldly.
I almost laughed at how oblivious she was. "All this time we've spent together, and that's all I am to you?" I asked, my voice rising despite my efforts to remain calm. "Someone important?"
Wanqing's brow drew together, "Wait, Anning—"
"No. Don't Anning me." I said, shaking my head as I took a step toward her. "You've kissed me. You held me whenever you felt like it. You get jealous when another man talks to me, and you keep telling everyone that I'm yours. After everything we've been through, you look at me and decide I'm just an important person?"
