The two fierce auras collided in midair, instantly sending yellow sand and dust flying in every direction. Her power was immense, drawn from the original force of the universe's birth—majestic and heavy, as if he had struck a mountain.
Renzo was slightly surprised, but Maria opposite him was even more shocked. She had briefly encountered Renzo before. More than a week earlier, on the day he killed Thanos on Titan, this strange man had fallen from the sky like a star, appearing before them like a lost meteor. A gem guardian from the multiverse was an extremely dangerous existence.
"He should be on Reed's test bed..." Maria remembered that clearly, yet now Renzo stood here in full force, majestic as a mountain god, blocking her path with a thick, solid body that could not be shaken.
Neither of them dared act rashly. Both were waiting for the other to reveal a flaw.
The three Stones on Renzo's body lit up, and the original cosmic energy almost broke through the restraints of his body. His lower limit was very high, and his upper limit was also very high, far stronger than a body of flesh and blood. But he had no room to improve unless he could find a metal in the universe harder than vibranium. Otherwise, he would have to rely on external artifacts to enhance his strength for the rest of his life.
Humans had no limits.
The woman's entire body shone with brilliance. In an instant, she moved. Light and fire intertwined, thunder and wind roared. Renzo's eyes widened. Her fist had already touched his abdomen. He felt every atom in his body tremble and scream... His body suddenly flew backward, bending into a ">" shape. Maria quickly flew behind Renzo, roaring like a tiger baring its fangs, grabbed Gufeng's golden cloak, and used her boundless strength to spin him in circles.
Boom!
Her extreme speed almost broke the sound barrier, creating a thunderous explosion, and the man's body was thrown into the sky. That direction happened to be where the X-Men were.
Maria had long sensed the enemy's presence, but those weak auras had not attracted her attention. She only had eyes for the man in front of her. Her blue pupils reflected her anger, fiercely venting all the pain and sorrow she had suffered in this life.
Every punch that landed carried strange strength and rage. She swore to smash this ridiculous face to pieces, tear open his abdomen, and attack every inch of his body. Each strike sent him flying higher.
Frank and Bobby looked at the approaching figure from a distance, their hearts sinking suddenly.
"Climb! Turn! Avoid them!"
Rogue hurriedly controlled the panel. The veins in her hands stood out, green flames burst from the thrusters, and the fighter suddenly shot forward.
As expected, Renzo broke through the clouds and reached the aircraft's altitude. Well... the air was very fresh.
Renzo clearly felt the attack on every part of his body and could not help praising the precision behind her force.
"Ha!"
Maria punched Renzo in the face again, but this time, she missed. A transparent pane that seemed almost solid appeared between the two of them. It was indestructible. Her fist trembled from the impact, and for a moment, she could not withdraw it.
"It's my turn!" A pale golden protective shield wrapped around Renzo's body. Under the refraction of the sunlight, it cast a faint glow that gently swayed over the woman.
She saw... a fist?!
A blow.
An unprecedented blow.
Maria's expression twisted. Her face was directly caved in by the punch, and her head bent downward in a strange posture. Like a kite with its string cut, her body folded into an "L" shape.
Boom!
Blood flew from her mouth and nose as she fell back to the surface like a meteorite. The ground was smashed with spiderweb cracks, almost as large as the crater where the aerospace helicarrier lay beside it. Her muscles were compressed, and her head had taken a heavy blow, nearly shattering her brain. The bridge of her nose was broken, and she stood up awkwardly.
The smell of blood...
Maria wiped the corner of her mouth. Faint blood stained her hand, making it tremble.
Whoosh!
The woman suddenly raised her head, and her eyes were dazzled by the glaring sunlight. Thick white clouds were pierced by several beams of light, revealing the round sun above. The red sun seemed to burn her skin, the pain intense and real...
Maria touched the sore spot, and thick, metallic blood rushed into her nose. It seemed this was not an illusion. She really had been injured.
Aside from Black Bolt, there was almost no one on Earth, or even in the universe, who could beat her to this state. Her body was like King Kong atop the Empire State Building, angrily beating his chest while armed helicopters sprayed bullets like tongues of fire. To King Kong, it was only an itch. His greatest reaction would be to yawn and glance boredly at those mosquito-like things around him. It did not hurt, but it was annoying.
Maria leaped up excitedly and instantly entered binary mode. If she did not use all her strength, the man in front of her would definitely not be defeated.
Her fighting spirit was thoroughly aroused, and she attacked Renzo crazily. Her arms shone with a chaotic, illusory golden-red light, like two indestructible gauntlets. The high temperature emitted from them was enough to easily melt ordinary steel, even materials resistant to extreme heat.
The spaceships of the Skrulls and Kree could withstand conventional missiles without leaving a mark, but they could be easily pierced by Captain Marvel's beams. That alone was enough to show her overwhelming strength.
Renzo tentatively stood still, preparing to withstand the blow.
He had never fought Captain Marvel before. They had not spent much time together on Xandar, but Renzo still clearly remembered their arrogant, condescending faces, as if the entire world owed them something.
Renzo laughed as he thought about it, because after becoming Captain Marvel, Maria had become Aunt Marvel with a long, stern face. She looked ridiculous.
Before he could laugh out loud, a fist carrying the weight of a mountain struck his chest directly.
"System error! System error! System error!"
His brain sounded frantic alarms. Renzo's eyes almost popped out of their sockets. The scalding heat and cosmic energy nearly destroyed his body. A blurry shadow exploded backward, and he was knocked several thousand meters away, crashing through three or four massive rocks before barely stopping.
"How did you find your husband?!"
Renzo had nearly been killed by this punch. He lowered his head. The vibranium on his chest showed signs of melting. He touched his head with lingering fear. "Infinite Ultron was almost stripped of the Stones by Carol. This woman's strength isn't bad at all. No wonder Thanos died so easily. Even if I fought seriously, I wouldn't be able to withstand many punches."
Vibranium was indestructible only as an exaggeration. It was harder than 99.99 percent of the metals in the universe, but it was not truly unbreakable. Thanos's double-bladed sword, adamantium, Uru metal, magic... Absolute suppression through force could clear any obstacle in front of it, even a vibranium body.
Renzo did not dare resist directly anymore and instead blasted back with energy. Slender golden light collided with high-temperature beams, sweeping up broken stones from the ground and clearing everything across the battlefield. A wave of light gradually spread beneath their feet. Cracks opened, and their power even caused fluctuations in space.
Renzo gradually gained the upper hand. With the blessing of the Power Stone, he was not afraid of any enemy who clashed with him head-on. He even had the illusion that he could compete with the Celestials and the five great cosmic entities.
Maria was very strong. Renzo admitted that.
But he was stronger.
Tilting his head to avoid the beam, his body twisted like a water snake as he flew toward Maria. The woman's rich combat awareness allowed her to instantly change her fighting posture.
Prince's tactics.
The classic fighting method of Vegeta, the Saiyan prince in Dragon Ball, followed the principle of becoming more reckless when ahead and even more reckless when behind. This set of tactics repeatedly appeared on Vegeta, that little white dragon riding the waves. One barrage after another hit the enemy, only for the enemy to remain unscathed. Classic showmanship, and often, the prince would be violently beaten in the next moment before the protagonist came to rescue him.
The scene between the two now was similar. Maria's princely tactics also passed through Renzo's body, but he did not relax. He dodged as many attacks as he could. Part of his body had been destroyed, and unlike ordinary metal, he had no way to achieve intangibility by changing density.
To prevent his hands and feet from being hit, Renzo opened several spatial vortices around his body, connecting them to outer space. Once the beams entered the vortices, they caused no damage.
Maria grew anxious. Her attacks were completely ineffective, and her rhythm gradually fell into chaos. Renzo seized the opportunity.
Boom!
Head collided with head. The head that even Thanos had been afraid of snapped violently backward like a kite that had lost its string, making one worry whether that thin neck could withstand such a pull.
"Hiss... So hard!" The corner of Renzo's mouth twitched. At the moment of impact, he could feel his forehead sink slightly. A huge word—danger—suddenly appeared in his mind. It felt as if even vibranium might fail to knock through flesh like this.
What a joke. If Wakanda knew about this, they would be too ashamed to speak. The meteorite they were so proud of was merely a harder stone in the eyes of some beings.
That said, he also needed to go to Wakanda. He hoped it would not attract Wanda's attention. He still had to rely on T'Challa and his sister to repair his body. Hopefully, they would not chase him away like a stray dog. He was truly embarrassed to attack Wakanda. That would cause both sides to lose face and become enemies.
He would have to see whether he could make T'Challa trust him in a gentler way. The coordinates inside the Space Stone had been lost. He could not find his way home and could only rely on this world's Wakanda.
Seeing the man lose focus, Maria suddenly grew furious. Even if she could not beat him, he should at least show some respect. What the hell was he doing getting distracted? Did he think she was too weak?
Anger filled the woman's heart. In this life, she hated being looked down upon most. Even being ignored was better than being underestimated.
She raised her head proudly and angrily, like a wild horse galloping across the grassland, unruly and thunderous across the endless wilderness. Suddenly, a great mountain appeared before her, a mountain difficult to cross. It seemed to appear out of thin air, striking her like an earthquake, making the world collapse.
When she gathered her courage to challenge and climb that enormous mountain, it continued rising endlessly, always higher than her, never letting her reach the peak.
So she climbed upward like a madwoman, watching the distance shrink and then expand again, always leaving the mountaintop just beyond her sight.
Maria wiped the blood from her shoulder. Dried blood stuck to her clothes. She activated binary mode, preparing to use the greatest power of her life to judge the enemy.
Maria's true strength was extremely powerful, even stronger than Carol's. The combat power she displayed when wreaking havoc on the Illuminati was not on the same level as what Wanda had shown. A woman who could casually destroy several space-class battleships could cause the aftermath of her battle to collapse buildings.
Even though the Illuminati headquarters was tough.
Maria had not displayed her true strength at all in the movie. She had been drained by Wanda before she could use her full power and was finally crushed to death by a stone statue.
Poor and pathetic.
But Renzo did not want to play anymore.
Renzo had clearly recognized Captain Marvel's strength and satisfied his curiosity. As for the result? Naturally, it was time to end the battle.
Just like Dragon Ball, when Frieza led his men to attack Namek, the Z Fighters resisted desperately, and everyone seemed to cheat death. They knocked Frieza down and smugly prepared to say some meaningless nonsense, only for Frieza to stand up again, reveal his second form, and proudly tell them that they had only beaten one life out of him and still needed another to defeat him.
Of course, what greeted the Z Fighters next was despair and pain, fists as fierce as raindrops beating everyone present until they were dying.
He would not make the mistake of waiting for the enemy to transform and become stronger before beating him up. Only hot-blooded comics had such silly plots.
Seeing Maria cross nearly a thousand meters in two or three breaths, he could even smell the burning scent caused by her shining, high-temperature fists rubbing against the air.
"Go to sleep, baby. The sun is setting..."
An indescribable spiritual force rushed into Maria's brain like a devastating flood.
Maria felt as if millions of needles were stabbing back and forth through her mind, piercing deeply, only for the wounds to be repaired instantly by chaos. Contradictory forces merged, fighting each other while remaining strangely harmonious.
Her brain became a battlefield. On one side were red soldiers, and on the other were golden soldiers. The leading villains shouted something loudly, busy spitting insults before the battle. Then they raised the flags in their hands high, waved them fiercely a few times, and were pushed back by the crowd of soldiers advancing from behind. The two armies were about to begin a war.
Maria could not endure it. In the end, she was still human. No matter how hard her body was, her brain remained extremely fragile. Even a child could crush it underfoot, let alone a confrontation between two powerful forces.
Blood flowed from Maria's eyes, mouth, nose, and ear canals. She no longer had the strength to maintain flight. She collapsed messily onto the ground, wailing angrily and pitifully, striking her head with both hands as if trying to drive the chaotic noise out of her mind.
Unfortunately, it did not work.
The two sides grew more courageous as they fought, gradually becoming insane and ignoring the consequences. Maria lay on the ground in agony, and the earth cracked and shattered around her. An artificial earthquake gradually spread into the distance.
Renzo walked majestically to Maria's side, lowered his head, looked at her ferocious eyes, and closed his own with an expression of unbearable pity.
Zzzzt—
The sound of laser cutting rang out, and Maria's struggling body finally stopped. Her arms stretched out weakly, then collapsed onto the ground.
Looking at the brain cut cleanly in two, Renzo only frowned, feeling slight discomfort. However, he was a biochemical man. He had no stomach, and no urge to vomit.
