For a second, the music from the hall seemed to fade into something very dark because Scarlett just stood still
Michael didn't look like he didn't know what he just said and that unsettled Scarlett as she tightened her fingers against her purse
"You're walking on a very thin line. What do you mean by "you know how I got here?", she asked quietly
Michael didn't move, nor did he change his expression
"I already crossed the line the moment I walked up to see and asked to speak with you in front of Jude", he said sharply
Scarlett laughed softly
"It's either you are bold or reckless. I really want to know which one it is", she said
Michael smiled faintly as he looked at her
"I think you want to say that I'm informed because I'm very well informed", he corrected
Scarlett looked at him carefully as Jude's rival and as someone who might know something about her
"I doubt you know anything about me but what exactly do you know about me?", she asked
