The room fell into silence instantly as nobody moved or spoke. They just looked at each other
Jude looked as though someone had just punched him hard in the face as the words landed
For a long moment, all Scarlett could hear was the sound of her heartbeat as her fingers tightened around the photograph
"Patrick Maguire signed off on those transactions?", she whispered beneath her breath

"This has to be a big mistake"
"Well, I thought so as well but I checked it properly like three times", Violet said calmly
"No! It can't be", Jude shook his head
"There has to be a better explanation", he added
"Hmmmn... there might be a better explanation but the signature is his because I recognize his signature too much", Violet said as she folded her arms tightly
