The air in the master suite was stagnant and thick with the scent of fresh lilies that felt more like a floral shroud than a luxury. Outside, New York hummed with indifferent energy, but inside, the energy was tense making Emily hold her breath in pure fright.
Tony stood under the harsh glare of the LEDs, his eyes were extremely terrifying. He didn't look like the man who had been happy hours ago at the prospect of an heir; he looked like an angry demon.
"I know everything, Emily," Tony said, his voice a low, vibrating hum. "The night you escaped. You and Alex.. You fucked him didn't you?"
Emily's eyes widened in shock. Her lips trembled, no word coming out.
"So that's a yes," Tony moved slowly toward the bed where Emily sat perfectly still. "Is that child his?"
"I… I don't know," she stammered.
"Don't lie to me!" he lunged and grabbed her by the neck, slowly lifting her body up. His eyes were pure terror.
"I… I'm.. not," Emily choked.
