Chapter 13 - Pattern Mapping

Adeiza didn't manipulate the system even for a full minute.

Not that there was anything left to do.

Just that doing something too fast could wipe out his most important asset.

---

Data.

---

Eight nodes worked on the network.

Every one of them a little different.

In time.

In decisions.

In behavior.

---

He observed them carefully.

---

Not the output.

Not the result.

---

The differences.

---

His hands moved slowly on the keyboard.

Accessing comparative log between nodes.

---

Overlaying behavior patterns.

---

Measuring deviation.

---

"…Show me how you drift from the norm," he murmured.

---

The system responded.

---

System Window (Opened)

Task: Behavioral Drift Analysis

Status: Node variations measured in a distributed system

Reward/Info: Difference patterns identified between node functions

---

Adeiza analyzed the data presented by the system.

---

Each of the eight nodes was already creating its own pattern.

Not random.

Contextual.

---

ISP node adjusted quicker when overloaded.

Financial node focused on stability more than speed.

Logistics node sought consistency.

---

While the ghost server…

---

"…Was the most adaptive one," Adeiza noted with a smile.

---

He isolated the last node once again.

Not to manipulate.

To examine.

---

Deviation curve of the ghost server was different.

Steeper.

Faster.

---

It learned and adjusted from change much better than others.

---

"…Since it has fewer restrictions," Adeiza stated.

As expected.

---

This node was almost recreated from scratch.

With no old behavior.

No inherited limitations.

---

A new structure.

---

Not altered.

Just utilized.

---

Adeiza began to compare the rest of nodes to the ghost server.

Not to make them similar.

To identify the gap.

---

Confirmed.

---

System Window (Opened)

Task: Node Benchmarking

Status: Ghost Server set as adaptive benchmark

Reward/Info: Variation gap among other nodes measured now

---

He relaxed back in his seat.

"…Now I see my limitations," he said.

There were limits to every node.

A point at which the adaptive capacity slowed down.

All but one…

---

The ghost server did not have a limit.

It just continued to adapt and change.

---

Not perfectly.

But constantly.

---

"…And that's the difference," he noted with satisfaction.

---

He gently tapped the table with a finger.

Then, he made a decision.

No expansion.

No upgrades.

Redistribution of resources.

---

He changed the load applied to all nodes.

More requests.

Greater complexity.

Varying conditions.

---

Only in a different manner.

Each node had to cope with a specific kind of overload.

ISP node – spikes in routing demands.

Financial node – irregular bursts of transactions.

Logistics node – contradictory data patterns.

And the ghost server…

Everything.

---

Confirmed.

---

System Window (Opened)

Task: Load Redistribution

Status: Various types of stress distributed over nodes

Reward/Info: Node adaptive responses data collected

---

He watched the reaction of the system.

Not collapsing.

But adjusting.

---

Each of the nodes reacted in a unique way.

ISP node – adjusted rapidly, but inconsistently.

Financial node – slowed down, but stabilized.

Logistics node – fought off changes and gradually corrected.

And the ghost server…

Adapted right away.

---

"…You are quick," he commented.

---

That's why it's valuable.

That's also why it's dangerous.

---

He did not allow it to continue freely.

He observed it closely.

---

GhostKey's node flashed.

> GhostKey:

Why does the network suddenly seem under pressure?

---

He did not take his eyes off the information window.

> Apex Null:

It is.

---

A brief pause.

---

> GhostKey:

So, you are testing us?

---

Adeiza replied calmly.

---

> Apex Null:

I am analyzing.

---

Silence filled the air.

---

Then…

---

The activity of GhostKey shifted.

Trying to match and adapt to the changing conditions.

Adeiza watched that carefully.

---

"…That's good," he murmured.

---

Not following his orders.

Learning from observation.

---

He returned to the system.

Collecting data.

Comparing patterns.

Identifying boundaries.

---

System Window (Opened)

Task: Adaptive Capacity Analysis

Status: Limitations of each node established

Reward/Info: Greater understanding of system structure achieved

---

He closed the system window.

"…I know now how far they can go," he noted.

---

That was enough.

For the moment.

---

He reduced the load of the nodes.

Not significantly.

Just to stabilize.

---

Confirmed.

---

System Window (Opened)

Task: Load Normalization

Status: Stabilization of node activities with collected information

Reward/Info: Network stability restored and analysis completed

---

The system calmed down.

But not to the previous state.

More advanced.

---

Each of the nodes improved and refined.

Undergoing stress.

Adeiza smiled slightly.

"…Improvements," he noted.

---

No expansion.

No confrontation.

Only controlled development.

---

He glanced at the system shop once.

Without opening it.

Not needed at the moment.

---

But now that he understood the system much better…

Anything else was easy to achieve.

---

Everything else—

---

afterward.
