Chapter 3 - Chapter 3 Tang Hao's Surprise

Chapter 3 Tang Hao's Surprise

Old Jack said seriously, "I have to go out today and won't be back until the morning of the third day."

Ye Yu guessed: "Is it to contact the Soul Master in charge of Soul Awakening at the Notting City Martial Soul Branch Hall?"

Old Jack left without saying much. Although Ye Yu was only six years old, his thinking was completely different from that of his peers.

Before leaving the village, Old Jack went to the blacksmith shop and told Tang San that he would come to pick him up on the morning of the third day to go to awaken his martial soul.

Tang San knew very little about martial souls and soul masters. He asked a lot of questions and learned a little. He became interested and looked forward to it.

On the morning of the third day, just as dawn was breaking.

Tang San had returned from his training and came to the stove. He skillfully stepped onto a stool and lifted the lid of the large iron pot. Instantly, the aroma of rice filled the air, and the porridge inside was thick and glossy.

Before the sun had risen, Tang San got up, first to cook some porridge, then went up the mountain to cultivate. By the time he returned from his cultivation, the porridge was ready.

"It seems I've arrived at just the right time."

At this moment, Ye Yu walked into the blacksmith shop, smelled the aroma of rice porridge, and quickly approached.

Tang San had already served three bowls of porridge, knowing that Ye Yu would come.

Ye Yu arrived before dawn this morning, bringing a bag of rice.

Tang San initially didn't want to accept it, but Ye Yu said it wasn't a free gift and that he would drink the porridge himself after cooking it, so Tang San accepted it.

Ye Yu came because he had eaten all the food he had stored at home, and only this small bag of rice was left. Ye Yu knew how to cook porridge, but he often burned it, so he asked Tang San to cook it for him.

Ye Yu originally thought that the food prepared by Old Jack was enough, but he found that his appetite had increased again, now three times that of an adult.

Ye Yu ate heartily and said to Tang San, "Eat more this time. You're so thin. You must not eat well usually, right? Now is the time for you to grow. You need to supplement your nutrition."

Tang San looked at himself and realized he was indeed rather thin. He used to be able to count the grains of rice in his bowl of porridge at a glance, and after eating two bowls, he was full.

However, Tang San looked surprised, because after Ye Yu finished three bowls, he started on a fourth, a fifth, and a sixth bowl...

Tang San was somewhat stunned. Although Ye Yu was stronger, he wasn't a big guy. He was very healthy and only three centimeters taller than Tang San.

Tang San wondered: How can a six-year-old eat so much? Is his stomach a bottomless pit?

When there was only one bowl left, Ye Yu did not continue; this bowl was reserved for Tang San's father.

At that moment, the curtain of the room next door was lifted.

A burly, bronze-skinned, and handsome middle-aged man with messy, bird-nest-like hair and an overall extremely slovenly appearance walked out.

As soon as he stepped out, a strong smell of alcohol filled the air. Ye Yu knew he was Tang San's father, Tang Hao. He also knew that Tang Hao wasn't what he seemed; he was the youngest Title Douluo on the continent.

Tang Hao walked over, picked up the bowl on the table to drink, but found that there were many grains of rice in the porridge.

Tang Hao looked at Tang San and asked, "Little San, did you put all the rice in my bowl?"

Tang San shook his head and explained, "No, Brother Yu brought a bag of rice over this morning, and Brother Yu and I have already finished it."

Because Ye Yu is two months older than Tang San, Tang San calls Ye Yu "Brother Yu," while Ye Yu calls Tang San "Little San."

Tang San felt a little awkward calling Ye Yu that, after all, he was already in his twenties at heart.

Tang Hao didn't say anything more, tilted his head back and gulped down the porridge.

As Tang Hao finished eating and was about to go inside, Tang San pointed to the corner and asked, "Dad, can I use that piece of iron?"

Tang Hao glanced at it lazily, then his eyes lit up slightly.

"Oh? This piece of pig iron contains iron concentrate."

Tang Hao asked, "You want to be a blacksmith?"

"I feel like I'm all grown up now and can help my dad with some things."

Tang Hao nodded: "Well, if you want to help me now, we'll have to see if you can lift the hammer first."

Upon hearing this, Tang San dragged over the iron hammer that Tang Hao usually used. This iron hammer was several centimeters taller than him; a five or six-year-old child couldn't even drag it, and it was difficult for an ordinary adult man to swing it.

However, Tang San used his profound internal energy to barely lift and swing it.

Tang Hao looked on with surprise, muttering to himself, "So strong? Is he born with superhuman strength?"

Seeing all this, Ye Yu naturally knew the real reason why Tang San wanted to learn: to create hidden weapons.

Tang San waved his hand three times, took a long breath, and asked Ye Yu.

"Brother Yu, you should be able to swing it too, right?"

Ye Yu stood up: "I'll give it a try."

Tang Hao was surprised again. Ye Yu, who was the same age as Xiao San, could also wield it?

Ye Yu stepped forward, and Tang San handed the iron hammer to Ye Yu with both hands.

However, Ye Yu only extended his left hand.

Tang San was surprised and reminded him, "Brother Yu, this hammer is very heavy; you'll need both hands to lift it."

One is enough.

As Ye Yu spoke, he gripped the hammer handle with his left hand: "Little San, let go of me."

"Alright." Tang San released his hands, his face filled with surprise.

Because after Ye Yu gripped the hammer with his left hand, his hand and arm did not waver at all! He held it up with just one hand!

Tang Hao, standing to the side, was even more surprised: "Are all kids these days born with superhuman strength?"

Ye Yu grabbed the very end of the hammer handle and tossed it upwards. The hammer spun a few times in the air before falling back down with a thud, easily caught by Ye Yu's left hand.

Tang San and Tang Hao were somewhat stunned...

If a large man did this, it wouldn't be surprising, but Ye Yu is only six years old. It's one thing to lift such a heavy iron hammer with one hand, but he even tossed it up and caught it easily.

Tang Hao asked, "Xiaoyu, are you left-handed?"

Ye Yu shook his head: "No."

Tang Hao: "..."

Tang San: "..."

Ignoring the two surprised people, Ye Yu lost interest and put the hammer on the ground.

"It's too light, it won't be effective for exercise. I'd rather lift the huge rock by the pond outside the village."

Ye Yu walked to the threshold, turned around, smiled and waved, saying, "Little San, Uncle, bye-bye."

Watching Ye Yu leave, Tang San snapped out of his surprise and sighed softly, "He's really a monster."

He was able to lift the hammer because his profound internal energy circulated throughout his body, enhancing his strength. Ye Yu, on the other hand, relied entirely on his own strength, making him different from others and thus classifying him as a monster.

Even Tang Hao thought so; he had never seen a child with such monstrous strength. He hadn't even awakened his martial soul yet, and his power was already so great.

When Ye Yu reached the edge of the pool, he began to move the boulder. The boulder was very heavy, weighing about three tons. Even with Ye Yu's current physical condition and strength, it was extremely difficult for him to move it step by step.

However, the greater the difficulty, the better one can hone their skills.

After carrying the boulder for a hundred meters, which took an hour, Ye Yu let out a long breath and wiped the sweat from his face. His arms didn't ache at all.

"Grandpa Jack should be back by now." Ye Yu returned home.

Meanwhile, Old Jack did indeed return and went to find Tang San first. He originally planned to take Tang San to the Spirit Branch Hall in the center of the village, but he wanted to go see Ye Yu, and more importantly, keep an eye on Ye Yu and prevent him from coming.

"Xiao San, you go ahead first. I'm going to check on Xiao Yu at home."

"Okay, Grandpa Jack." Tang San nodded.

Old Jack hurried toward his home, unaware that Ye Yu was already waiting with a rope.
