"So I didn't even go downstairs to eat with my family as I was not in the mood. I took my plate with me upstairs to my bedroom and didn't interact much with my family members and they also understood that I needed some space and I would be back to normal in a few days.
This happened late at night of 19th December 1989. When I was in my deep sleep I could hear some noise coming from downstairs. I looked at clock and it 2 am. Than I heard my mother scream so i ran downstairs in a hurry and I headed towards my brother's bedroom. There my brother was laying on his bed with multiple wounds and bleeding coming from his body. My body grew numb as I didn't know how to react as i have never seen such horrific stuff in my life and as you know the investigation happened and my mother was sobbing nonstop as she couldn't control herself. This happened because my mother forget to close the backdoors of our house.
2 days later I got a text with a pic from am unknown number . The text read DO I HAVE YOUR ATTENTION NOW? with a pic of a chopped off index finger. I was confused and disgusted by that pic but when I took a closer look at it. I knew it was my brother's index finger as my brother used to wear the ring on that finger and this pic also had the same ring. I immediately went home to my parents and showed them the picture. They were in shock and my mom again started crying and we immediately went to the cops and gave them the picture and the phone.
They said that they would trace down the killer from his unknown number and about a week from that event. The killer was caught and I was at a coffee shop with my friends as they were trying to cheer me as I was still in no mood to become socially active.
There came the news where the news reporter was covering the latest news as my eyes were filled with shock with the news as the news appeared on the screen it displayed a young man who was responsible for the murder on 19th December 1989 and who is the serial killer prancing . It displayed the name Kyle who was my ex- boyfriend. I was shocked, I froze about what I was doing. I couldn't make sense of the current situation. I grew numb. I sobbingly went home to my parents. He was very close to our family. My mom used to love him. He had never displayed any sort of negativity towards my family.
That man killed my brother again he was very close to my brother. Nothing made sense I was traumatized by that act of his and so was my entire family. He was the one who was running a🏃♂️ around killing people this was complete opposite of the personality he displayed.
So we thought the case was solved but at the expense of my brother's life and traumatized us for life.
But the other day the news appeared that there was another killing happened just few blocks away from out house. I was shocked and afraid more than ever before. I thought maybe it must be Kyle. He might have escaped the prison but I was wrong as he was still in the prison. This time my parents locked every door of the house and double checked it.
But this time something unusual happened I felt a presence in my room like someone was staring at me . It woke me up from my sleep. There was a masked man with blood stained knife . I tried to scream for my parents but he made the hand gesture to not scream. He came close to me and whispered in my ears DO I HAVE YOUR ATTENTION NOW? I didn't know what to do and he made the exit using my bedroom window. He didn't sound like Kyle.
As he made the exit. I went downstairs immediately to wake my parents up and very afraid. I knocked on my parents bedroom but it opened with a simple knock. There were my parents covered in blood and deep wound all over their body and I screamed which echoed in my house. I approached their body while crying my eyes out and i saw their indexfinger was missing. I didn't knew what to do at that moment. Somehow I gathered myself and called the cops and told them the entire situation.
I had grew completely numb at that point. I didn't eat for a couple of days as I had no interest in this life. My aunt and uncle took me with them. But things couldn't go back to normal as it was before.
But the thoughts still linger in my mind that who could be the mystery masked man? and could he be one of the accomplice of Kyle? Or could he be Kyle? These are the questions which cannot be answered to this day and neither is the killer caught to this day and today I am successful lawyer but these questions still linger in my mind and why did he leave me alive?
As nothing could go back to normal from this."
