Chapter 29 - Chapter 29: The Most Realistic Transmigrator, Shut-in Mode...

"The wind is truly noisy today." Looking up at the sky, Daniel couldn't help but sigh deeply, then began to lament about life.

Half an hour ago, after taking care of the four incoming Purification Knights, he had been sitting slumped here, cleaning the soles of his feet.

After all, gravel and sand were still embedded in his soles.

It was a pity there was no clean water, otherwise he could wash them and pick out the more stubborn grit.

Having gotten to this point, although the blood had stopped flowing and was starting to clot at the wounds, Daniel still didn't dare to use Gareth's spirit core to repair himself.

After all, he wasn't medically trained, and he had been pampered and spoiled, so he rarely had a chance to get hurt; he truly didn't know how to clean wounds or prevent infection.

School hadn't taught this, and his parents hadn't taught him either.

As for the injuries sustained while training with the Knights of the Round Table in the spirit core state... what does damage to the spirit core have to do with my physical body?

"Da Vinci-chan, I really hope to see you sooner... If not, Arash or Bedivere coming back is fine too, please heal me." Looking at his bloodied soles, Daniel felt very aggrieved.

Never doing this kind of thing again!

At this moment, having cut through 'Agravain' and the Purification Knights he led like vegetables, Hassan-i-Sabbah, realizing that his group had been tricked, was rushing back with his people.

"I hope it's not too late." To make good time, Hassan-i-Sabbah had Fujimaru Ritsuka on his back, sprinting at full speed along the mountain path.

"It will definitely be fine; everyone is very powerful and won't be easily defeated." Although Fujimaru Ritsuka said this, the hand gripping Hassan-i-Sabbah's shoulder was shaking.

No one knew how many Knights of the Round Table had been deployed this time, or how many Purification Knights there were.

Nor did they know how long the four of them, Daniel included, could hold out.

But Fujimaru Ritsuka could only try his best to empty his mind and avoid being overwhelmed by negative emotions.

"Doctor, can you detect the status of Mr. Arash and the others' spirit core reactions?" Mash, who was responsible for rear defense at the back of the group, asked Chaldea in a low voice.

"The situation is very bad." Romani's tone was somewhat heavy. "Arash's is slightly better, but Sanzang and Bedivere's are already severely damaged... Mr. Daniel's situation is the worst; his spirit core reaction is flickering on and off, as if he is dying, struggling on the line between life and death."

Well, the reason for this situation was actually that Daniel was using Gareth's spirit core to delay the infection rate of his foot injuries.

Upon hearing this, Mash immediately clenched her fists.

At this moment, she wished she could sprout wings on her back and fly back.

Those were four incredibly precious Servant combatants.

They were indispensable aids for attacking the Holy City.

"Please, you must hold on a little longer, Mr. Daniel, Sanzang, Mr. Arash, Sir Bedivere."

"Achoo! Hmph." Daniel rubbed the tip of his nose, looking at the bleak scenery around him, and negative emotions began to occupy a significant place in his mind.

"I knew Singularities weren't easy to fight; this isn't playing a game where you can revive a row of Servants using command spells or Saint Quartz."

"And it's not like no matter how you fight, 'I' won't get hurt."

"...Oh, right, I'm not even 'the protagonist' now; I'm not even a master, yet I got dragged into this massive, ongoing murder case. I am truly too unfortunate." Daniel's muttering even started to have a crying tone.

After all, before transmigrating, he was just a pampered child; even after graduating from college, he was just a loser who was unemployed upon graduation and stayed home to sponge off his parents.

The most courageous he usually was, was when his fingers were resting on a keyboard.

Having lived in this apocalyptic-like world for so long without showing any abnormalities was already a sign that his spirit was strong enough.

Well, the most important thing was that Sanzang was always by his side.

With a beautiful, gentle, and considerate beauty by his side, his lecherous nature allowed him to directly ignore the various inconveniences and ever-present life-and-death crises since arriving in this world.

But now, alone in this desolate mountain area, after the sense of loneliness welled up in his heart, it directly detonated the anxiety and fear he had buried deep in his heart during this time.

"The song of humanity is the song of courage; as expected, I am just a coward who talks big but cannot manifest it in reality." Twitching his mouth, Daniel curled up his legs, then wrapped his arms around his calves to shrink himself into a ball.

In modern society, with the internet, computers, and air conditioning, even if he was alone, Daniel could still be optimistic and cheerful.

But now, in this Singularity, with no electricity, no internet, worrying about food and drink, no guarantee of safety, and no one to accompany him, plus... his feet were injured, the sky was pitch black, and the only light source now was the light reflected by the moon in the sky and the twinkling of the stars.

Daniel started to shut down.

On the mountain, Arash, having finished clearing out the Purification Knights, rejoined the dual battlefield of Sanzang and Mordred, as well as Bedivere and Agravain.

"That guy Tristan, he didn't die, did he?" Mordred sneered and shouted, "I haven't seen him fire a single arrow from start to finish!"

"I'm afraid so." Agravain replied with an indifferent expression, "Daniel is not among them."

"Heh, although that kid's strength is as weak as a chicken, he has quite a few underhanded, sneaky ideas. If Tristan was careless, it's only natural for him to be taken out."

"After all, no matter what, that kid inherited Gareth's power." After forcing Sanzang back, Mordred turned her head to look at Agravain. "This operation has completely failed; it's time to go back and accept the Father King's punishment."

"This operation was my own stubborn decision; the responsibility lies with me." Agravain nodded, then kicked Bedivere away.

"Now is not the time for a life-or-death battle with you; we will be waiting for you in the Holy City... Bedivere." Agravain stared intently at Bedivere and said in a voice filled with malice.

The next moment, the figures of the two Servants left the battlefield like arrows.

Arash did not pursue them.

There was no helping it; among his companions, one was already exhausted to the point of collapse, and another's life or death was currently unknown.

"Sanzang, could I trouble you to head back and check on the situation of little brother Daniel? I will take Bedivere back to the village first." Arash looked at Sanzang and asked.

"Of course, no problem." Sanzang gave a thumbs up, "I am also very worried about whether any missed Purification Knights might have bypassed us and entered the mountain village, so I leave the safety over there to you two."
