Chapter 75 - Chapter 11 Siegfried: I'm super brave, okay? (5/5)

"Please forgive me for refusing." Darnic Prestone Yggdmillennia ignored Vlad III for the first time and stepped forward to assert ownership of the greater grail. "The greater grail has been absorbing mana from the ley lines here for sixty years; it is not something my Yggdmillennia Clan has hidden away."

Indeed, sixty years ago, he ditched the German army, detoured halfway with the greater grail, ran off to Romania, and then built this castle right where the greater grail was absorbing mana.

You could say he was acting like a warlord, but if you claimed he was hiding the greater grail, he definitely wouldn't admit it.

"See, Vlad III, it is not that I refused, but that you are resisting me, resisting me as the Ruler." Artoria sneered. "Alright, stop standing in front of me. Where is the food!"

The atmosphere, which had been somewhat tense, instantly dissolved at Artoria's scolding.

At the very least, Astolfo had no intention of fighting against them.

"Hey, Archer, keep an eye on things here for me. I'm going back for a bit. I'm worried that if that young guy who is still unconscious wakes up, he might panic." Astolfo slipped over to Chiron's side and whispered.

"Rider, this is not the time for you to just leave as you please," Chiron frowned and refused.

That Ruler was a very terrifying existence.

Chiron, who had tasted all kinds of suffering in Greek mythology, could assert this.

If they were to truly face each other in combat, he would even worry about his own faction being completely wiped out.

"Oh, with you, Saber, and Lancer here, it makes no difference whether I'm here or not." Astolfo said, preparing to slip away.

But when he saw the stunned look on Siegfried's face, he froze.

"Hey, Archer, look, isn't Saber acting a bit strange?" Astolfo tugged at Chiron's battle skirt and asked.

Looking in the direction of Saber's gaze, what Astolfo saw was the direction of the camper van's door.

"Eh? Are there still people inside the camper van who haven't come out?" Astolfo asked, raising his voice.

Siegfried glanced at him but said nothing, just looking at the camper van's door with a conflicted expression.

Because just after Ruler's two assistants came out, Siegfried had sensed it.

Inside that camper van, there was a person, object... or perhaps a Servant with whom he shared a fated connection.

Although he didn't know who was inside, Siegfried was slightly afraid of encountering someone he had known in his life.

After all, after descending into the present world, he had been imbued with modern common sense. Naturally, he was also quite familiar with the "Nibelungenlied" related to himself.

He felt sorrow and guilt for that ending.

Therefore, he did not wish to have the opportunity to see people he was familiar with in his life.

Whether it was former friends or former enemies.

"After all, with you all looking so aggressive, what would happen if we just walked out and got attacked by you?" A voice that was gentle but had a sarcastic tone came from inside the camper van.

Immediately following, the face of an unremarkable young man appeared at the camper van's door.

"Are you the owner of this camper van?" Darnic tried to project his goodwill toward the other party. "Please don't misunderstand; this is not aggression, but a form of respect for Ruler's visit to our castle."

Darnic's expression suddenly froze.

Because he saw the command spells imprinted on the backs of Daniel's hands.

Holy crap?

Why were there two types of command spells on the backs of one person's hands?

Darnic indicated he had never seen such a scene before.

"Hello everyone, my name is Li Lin, and I am the master of Caster and Lancer." Daniel scratched his head, stepped down from the camper van, and explained. "Oh, Caster and Lancer are the two assistants of Ruler."

"Actually, there is also a Berserker, but she said that there is a Servant in the Black Faction with whom she has an inextricable fated connection, so it's not good for her to appear, and she stayed in the camper van."

This was Daniel's disguise.

As long as he didn't have Karna's Discernment of the Poor, he didn't need to worry about his lies being exposed.

Let them be suspicious; after all, suspicion was the nature of a Magus.

But no matter how much they suspected, they wouldn't dare to make a move against Daniel without authorization.

After all, Daniel was now with the Ruler Faction. Making a move against him would basically be the same as declaring war on Ruler, just like the Red Faction's Lancer.

"In other words, Your Excellency is supporting the mana of three Servants alone?" Darnic swallowed, looking at Daniel with some astonishment.

He didn't even care about the origin of Daniel's name anymore.

"Ah, I wouldn't put it that way." Daniel scratched his head and replied. "Ruler also helps me share a portion of it."

Then Darnic became even more wary of Artoria.

She was suppressing the Red Faction's Lancer, the famous Karna, even while she was diverting a portion of her mana to support her own assistants. What if she went all out?

He didn't even dare to think about it!

If not for the obsession of many years supporting him, Darnic would have even wanted to obediently hand over the greater grail.

"I'm sorry." Siegfried suddenly walked forward a few steps, arrived at the center, looked at Daniel, and asked, "May I ask if the Berserker you mentioned who has a fated Servant in the Black Faction—is that fated Servant me?"

Even though he was afraid, the dragon-slaying hero still bravely took that step.

"Oh? You actually walked up to me." Daniel smiled and looked at Siegfried. "And you asked the question you least should have asked."

"It seems you have already sensed it."

"That's right. The Berserker inside is undoubtedly the one with whom you have an inextricable fated connection."

"However, are you truly mentally prepared? Are you prepared to meet her?" Daniel tilted his head slightly and asked Siegfried.

Upon hearing 'her', Siegfried's heart skipped a beat for a moment.

Siegfried, who was not a stupid person, would not have lived to the moment he became a dragon-slaying hero if he couldn't guess who the lady in the camper van with an inextricable fated connection to him was in this situation.

"Kriemhild... is it you?" Siegfried's voice was trembling slightly.

And Gordes, hearing this name, also showed an expression of astonishment and panic.

If not for the location and the surrounding characters being inappropriate, he would have almost ordered Siegfried to kill the other party by using a command spell.

After all, any hidden danger that could expose Siegfried's true name could not be allowed to exist!
