After retrieving his clothes from Gran Torino, Izuku said his goodbyes and left. Tomorrow was Monday, which meant the work study would officially end.
He frowned as he walked.
Spending four days stuck in the hospital… what a waste.
Gran Torino stood at the doorway, watching him leave.
Three students ended up resolving that incident… Even if it wasn't made public, people know. Still, they've gained a lot from it—both in combat and in mindset.
—
As Izuku walked home, he touched his mouth.
Three days without speaking… I should still be able to eat normally.
Back home, he started preparing dinner while doing light exercises. Around five in the afternoon, the doorbell rang. At the same time, voices broke out into an argument outside.
"Hey! What are you doing here, half-and-half bastard?!"
"I could ask you the same thing."
"Can you both stop arguing? Midoriya, are you home?"
Izuku paused.
They're all here?
He quickly pulled on a shirt and went to open the door.
"Hey, everyone."
"Good to see you, Midoriya."
The group filed into the apartment.
"Why did everyone suddenly come over?" Izuku asked, speaking without moving his lips.
"Didn't you see the group chat?" someone replied. "We all agreed to hang out at your place."
"And maybe check out some photos of your sister—"
"Pervert!"
Jiro immediately shut Mineta down.
Izuku smiled faintly.
"Well… welcome."
"Make yourselves comfortable. I'll get some drinks."
He headed into the kitchen.
"None of you have eaten yet, right? I picked up ingredients. What do you want?"
"Beef noodles."
"Something spicy!"
"Cold soba would be nice."
Izuku nodded, taking in the requests as he started cooking.
—
In the living room, everyone began setting things out.
"I brought fruit," someone said.
"I've got drinks."
"I brought a truth-or-dare set!"
"And a king's game deck!"
"I brought—"
"Don't even finish that sentence."
Kaminari didn't get a chance to continue.
—
"Um, Midoriya," Uraraka said hesitantly, "where are the books your sister mentioned? Can we take a look?"
"They're in my room," Izuku replied. "Third cabinet from the left under the desk. I haven't organized them, but they should all be there."
"Thanks."
Uraraka smiled and went with Yaoyorozu toward his room.
I remember seeing those before… I wonder what he reads.
Behind them, two more figures stood up.
Bakugo clicked his tongue.
Todoroki followed quietly.
