Chapter 73 - Chapter 73 - Planning

After completing his resignation procedures and discussing the initial plans for establishing an animation studio with Morishita Aoi and Uehara Etsuki, it was already noon.

As Kyoni Animation's second key animator, there was no longer any reason for Kamiyā Yuu to remain at the company. Besides, considering there was still a "frail little sister" at home who needed care, he hurried back.

"The fridge is running low… might as well restock now."

After exiting the subway station, Kamiyā Yuu headed to the supermarket, thinking that both he and Kamiyā Sora needed proper nourishment these days. He bought a large amount of nutritious ingredients. Even now, he could still feel some lingering fatigue in his lower back.

After leaving the supermarket with two large bags, a gust of cold wind hit him, making him shiver. The seasons were changing—early winter was approaching. Just yesterday, it had still been warm, but now, dressed only in a suit and shirt, he could clearly feel the chill. Shivering a few times, he jogged home while muttering, "Christmas is coming soon… and right after that, New Year. It'd be best if I could finish the sequel around that time."

Setting Christmas aside, much of Japan's traditional culture originated from China, so its New Year shared many similarities. However, compared to the lively celebrations in China, Japan's New Year was quieter. Instead of firecrackers, people would scatter beans to drive away evil spirits—similar in spirit to driving off the "Nian" beast. Families would send New Year cards, gather to eat sweet red bean soup, and visit shrines. That would mark the end of the holiday.

After returning to the apartment, Kamiyā Yuu sorted the groceries into the fridge. Not long after, he heard the sound of a door opening.

Turning around, he saw Kamiyā Sora slowly walking into the living room, wrapped in a white blanket. Her long silver hair fell loosely over her shoulders, and she looked like she had just woken up.

Seeing Kamiyā Yuu, her face lit up with a warm, shy smile. "Welcome back, Yuu."

Kamiyā Yuu smiled softly, closing the fridge and walking over to gently pat her head. "Why not rest a bit longer? I was just about to start making lunch."

Sora shook her head, leaning slightly into his hand. "I couldn't sleep. Knowing you're nearby… I just can't."

The cold, distant air she once had was gone. Now, her expression was filled only with warmth and attachment—so much so that the moment she heard him return, she came out wrapped in her blanket.

Kamiyā Yuu lightly tapped her forehead with a finger. "Then at least get dressed and wait in the living room. You catch colds easily."

"It's fine. You'll stay with me all day anyway," Sora replied playfully, smiling.

"This week, I'll be staying home too. If you catch a cold, we won't be able to do much," Kamiyā Yuu said, brushing aside a stray strand of her hair.

Sora blushed faintly at his words and didn't argue further. As she turned to head back to her room, she looked over her shoulder and asked, "Yuu, what should I wear today?"

Kamiyā Yuu thought for a moment. "How about a qipao?"

Sora tilted her head slightly, smiling. "Alright."

Kamiyā Yuu let out a quiet sigh after she left.

—So much for maintaining a composed older brother image.

That evening, Kamiyā Yuu returned to work mode, officially beginning to plan the second character promotional animation for 'RWBY'.

He had given Morishita Aoi one week to handle the studio's setup, and during that time, he had no intention of staying idle.

The previous day, while using his laptop in the key animation department, he had received an email from Robert of the "FakeBook" company. Besides expressing admiration for the quality of 'Red—Crescent Rose,' the message clearly proposed further collaboration. They seemed interested in turning 'RWBY' into an exclusive online animation for their platform.

The impact 'Red—Crescent Rose' had on the global animation community revealed enormous potential. Its unique style proved its market value—and that value extended far beyond the work itself.

'RWBY' had the potential to become a defining title in the animation industry.

For "FakeBook," it could serve as a flagship 3D animated series to attract animation fans worldwide. That was Robert's ambition. If successful, it would secure him greater influence and opportunities within the company.

For Kamiyā Yuu, this collaboration was a win-win.

He wasn't very familiar with overseas markets, but he urgently needed substantial startup funds and broader recognition—for both himself and his studio. Selling overseas distribution rights to "FakeBook" wasn't a problem. As the true copyright holder, he would still retain full creative control.

And his ambitions extended far beyond just 'RWBY'.

Within one year, he planned to complete this flagship 3D animation project: four character promotional animations, along with a full-length 3D animated film of around two hours.

Within this week, Kamiyā Yuu intended to finalize the concept for the second character promotional animation—so that once his studio was established, production could begin immediately.
