# **Third person POV: Subject // MELLISA**
**Location: ##?##?**
Darkness… true darkness. That's all the eyes could see. The sun seemed to be consumed, and not a single hint of light remained. Planets floated in uneven, zigzag patterns, their gravity ruined by whatever shift had taken hold of the cosmos itself.
And there… something moved.
A shadow, massive, the size of countless planets meshed together. It floated before one particularly large world, and it looked wrong, like it had been forced into existence without being properly finished. Its form flickered constantly, like a glitch that refused to settle.
Then its mouth opened, slowly, almost deliberately.
Rows of teeth revealed themselves, stretching further than they should, surrounding a long, black tongue that moved with a disturbing kind of patience. One of its appendages reached forward and wrapped around the planet, tightening just enough before pulling it closer.
There was no resistance, no struggle worth noticing.
The planet disappeared into its maw, and with it, billions of people, some who could have become gods, some who would have been nothing more than stepping stones.
All gone.
Just like that.
This being… no, this monster…

"Oh my… you certainly weren't supposed to see that."
Her voice was soft, almost thoughtful, like she was commenting on a minor inconvenience rather than something catastrophic.
"You see, it's a bit too early for you to know about something like that."
She slowly turned her head, her eyes locking forward.
"I know you're still watching. Normally, he wouldn't let you live long enough to see anything else… however, you seem harmless enough."
A faint smile formed, calm, yet not calm at the same time.
"Perfect. My baby has just started to awaken."
A small pause.
"Slow, painful progress toward our resurrection."
Her slender hand moved forward and didn't stop. It pushed through the layer itself, through the "POV," her fingers curling as if gripping something solid. For a moment, the space around her bent with the motion.
"Let's go on a little journey."
The void behind her began to swallow everything, quietly, completely, until she was gone with it.

**Location: Everest Planet // One of Earth's Colonized Worlds**
I appeared without force or light, just there.
My child stood beside a massive piece of metal they called a mech, gazing down from a high tower. His posture was still, but his thoughts weren't. I could feel them turning, questioning, searching for something that didn't quite sit right.
For a moment, irritation rose in me. What could possibly be bothering my dear child?
Over the years of his growth, the people who bothered him… disappeared. I made sure of that. No distractions, no unnecessary attachments.
So I looked, not at him, but through what surrounded him, through memory.
And what I found made me pause.
He wasn't hurt. He wasn't angry.
He was questioning them, humans, their methods, their logic.
A quiet breath left me.
"That's… unexpected."
A small, more natural smile followed.
"…how interesting."
I stepped forward slightly, watching him more closely now.
"My baby has grown…" I said, smiling again, softer now, warmer.
"Alright then. Let's see where this goes."
"Is this… really necessary?" Danny asked.
"No… it is not, dear."
I watched him panic, turning quickly as his eyes scanned my form.
Ah… the system integrated perfectly with her body. This way, he won't be discovered by those damned angels.
He looks cute when he's flustered.
He looks just like me.
I watched as he smiled, his body reacting before his mind could catch up.
"Mother?"
The poor thing didn't realize it at first.
Well… not fully.
But he was quick.
I let him cry. It seemed my absence had taken more of a toll on him than I expected.
