Ice Empress stared at Snow Empress's serious expression, blinking her crystal-yellow eyes, still not reacting.
They had known each other for tens of thousands of years. Although they occasionally sparred, she had never seen Snow Empress so serious.
More importantly, Snow Empress was now in a human body. In her view, that body should not be able to unleash peak-level power.
"Xue'er, what's going on?"
Ice Empress flicked her emerald scorpion tail.

Ice Empress felt a terrifying force travel through her claw, numbing her entire body. She was pushed back several meters, carving a deep trail in the ice.
"Xue'er! Are you serious?!"
Shock and confusion filled her voice.
But Snow Empress did not stop.
Ice blades condensed in midair, slashing toward her again and again.
Ice Empress gritted her teeth and fought back.

Snow Empress's hand had already pressed against her neck.
The coldness froze her soul power instantly.
The fight was over.
Ice Empress froze.
"Xue'er… what happened to you?" she asked weakly.
Snow Empress withdrew her hand. "I'm doing this for your own good."
On the side, Jiang Li clapped slowly.
"Good, very good. As expected of my employee."
Ice Empress snapped her head toward him.
"So it's you! You're the one controlling Xue'er!"
Jiang Li shrugged innocently. "Careful with your words, little scorpion. I only told her to teach you a lesson."
Ice Empress was stunned.
Snow Empress actually followed his orders.
Her mind went blank.
"Snow… Xue'er, you really—?"
She couldn't understand.
Snow Empress sighed helplessly.
"Bing'er, I'm doing this for you."
Ice Empress immediately exploded again.
"You shameless human! What did you do to Xue'er?!"
Jiang Li calmly walked forward. "Nothing. Just a fair deal."
Ice Empress sneered. "Fair deal? Xue'er would never serve a human!"
Jiang Li smiled. "Then try me."
"You—!"
Ice Empress was furious, but she did not dare move, fearing Snow Empress would strike again.
Snow Empress stepped between them.
"Enough."
Then she looked at Jiang Li. "Don't forget the contract. The third clause—help Bing'er survive her 400,000-year tribulation."
Ice Empress froze completely.
"Tribulation…? You mean mine?!"
Snow Empress nodded. "Yes."
Ice Empress turned stiff, her mind going blank.
Jiang Li smiled. "Surprised?"
Snow Empress added calmly, "He helped me become human. He has a way to help you too."
Jiang Li nodded. "Of course I do. But pain is unavoidable."
Snow Empress frowned slightly. "What method?"
Jiang Li said lightly:
"There's a place with Ten-Thousand-Year Profound Ice Marrow. Enough for her next tribulation."
