The sage said to the man:
"You will be pursued by the lords of torment: Raviel, the lord of hatred; Uroboros, the lord of wrath; Aldrich, the lord of deep sorrow; Faust, the lord of pain; Bristeraza, the lord of madness; Elric, the lord of obsession; Shen, the lord of fear; Grotara, the lord of nostalgia; and Gado, the lord of emptiness and despair. Not even in dreams will you escape them. They will torment you until they drain the last drop of energy from your life. If you die, you will be free of them".
"That cannot be my fate" said the man". There must be a way to rid myself of them. I beg you, sage, have mercy on me. Do not leave death as my only solution".
"I shall have mercy on you" said the sage". There is a way for you to coexist with the Lords: through art. Express in art the feelings and emotions they awaken in you. In doing so, you will transfer what they give you into your works, and you will not suffer. Live and dedicate everything to art if you wish to ease your suffering. That is the only path I see for you. Now, follow it or succumb to the lords' insatiable hunger".
