Chapter 3 - chapter 2 talent

«Hmm I've checked many slaves in my lifetime but I've never seen a slave with this kind of talent.»

Elder feng ming was not only a martial master but also an old man, as such anyone could tell that he had a rich life experiences, he seen and evaluated countless slaves and had never seen a slave with an extraordinary talent.

«Well there's that elder in that sect he was of slave descendant but managed to become a martial master, perhaps her case is different»

Most slave descendants weren't allowed to read or write much less cultivate, they were only kept in cages and sold afterwards,

There is a Legend that says if one's ancestors had walked the path of a martial master then there's a high chance that he could be born with an extraordinary talent, but this is all just Legends there is no proof, and because of this legend most wealthy clans or families marry their daughters to martial masters in hopes to receive a child with extraordinary talent.

Walking the path of a martial master was everything in this world, martial masters could run very fast and have super human strength, killing countless people and monsters alike with just a single technique, wealth, power, women, if one had strength then the ordinary people would bow before them.

"Hahaha alright I shall take these young slaves to my sect, ahem as for the old ones..."

After saying this he casted a meaningful glance at village lord Chi huan, Elder feng ming stood straight like a sword while putting one hand on his back and stroking his long beard with the other, he did not bother evaluating the rest of the slaves especially the young ones, he had already decided to take them into the wind jade sect even if they didn't have any talent, he only checked the girl's talent because of intuition.

Village lord Chi huan, immediately understood the intention behind elder feng ming's glance, village lord chi huan was also no ordinary man, even though he is not a martial master, he came from a family of merchants and had created his own caravan.

"Alright put all the young slaves back to the cages and deliver them to wind jade sect"

Village lord Chi huan shouted at the guards, the caravan guards hurriedly started loading all the young slaves back into the caravan.

"Hey stop right there, that young slave is escaping hurry catch him"

Village lord Chi huan yelled at the guards

One of the young slaves had actually managed to untie the robes and the blind folds as he made a run for it, but he was quickly spotted by the caravan guards.

"Hmm?

Elder feng ming who was picking up the little girl noticed the commotion and looked towards the young man who was running away, the young man was extremely fast and had already out ran the guards, as the only martial master in the place, elder feng ming had to be the one to capture him,

"Huh"

Elder feng ming's body distorted and he disappeared from the place, arriving above the young man who was running in the blink of an eye, he put his right hand palm forward and immediately the boy who was running fell flat on his chest as if the gravity in the place was pinning him down, he couldn't even utter a single word much less move.

"Hmph, you're actually fast for a rat, boy what made you run? do you not know how hard it's for a mortal such as you to join a prestigious sect like the wind jade?"

Elder feng ming immediately subdued the young man and asked him a question while pinning the boy to the ground with his feet, everyone was also wondering why the boy would run? After all he was young and got accepted into a prestigious sect despite being a slave descendant. and what made him think he could escape from a martial master, everyone was wondering the same thing in their head.

«Seems my plan worked, by out running the caravan guards i demonstrated my running speed to elder feng ming, he was the only person who could capture me, and from this he might not think I'm worthless even if I have no talent to cultivate»

The boy had known just how wonderful it was for a mortal like him to join the wind jade sect, he was well aware of it,

The reason he chose to run was demonstrate he wasn't fully worthless even without a talent to cultivate, when it came to ordinary people, he was fast, from this you could see how he managed to escape from the caravan guards, even though the caravan guards weren't martial masters they were still trained individuals and not many people could out ran them.

«If i show my usefulness Perhaps my life in wind jade sect wouldn't be so bad».

"Hmph, not answering?

Elder feng ming pressed his feet on the boys neck, cracks formed in the ground as he felt excruciating pain in the neck, if the elder kept pressing his feet on him then he would really die, even though the boy's plan worked and he grabbed the elder's attention, his life was still in danger, in the elder's eyes killing a mortal was nothing, he did not view the boy as someone important, in the eyes of martial masters the weak mortals were disposable.

"Please forgive me elder, I'm sorry I just didn't want to be slave for the rest of my life so I tried escaping, i won't run again"

Tears streamed down from the boy's eyes, even though there was a chance that the elder might kill him in order to make an example out of him to warn the other slaves, he still took the risk to show his usefulness even if they were slaves who had no talent to cultivate they still had to be useful in someway, otherwise they would be discarded as easily as they were recruited.

as he cried under the elder's feet the elder eased the pressure on the boy's neck, the elder understood that he was just a young man with not much life experiences, and thought the boy might not even have known just how wonderful it was for someone like him to join the sect.

"among all the slaves who were being transported you were the only one who had the guts to try and escape"

The elder lifted his leg up, freeing the boy,

But the boy did not dare get up from the ground but layed there until the elder gave permission.

"If I wasn't here surely you would've escaped"

Elder feng ming spoke to the boy as he stroked his long beard,

«These lowly guards, they embarrassed me in front of the elder»

Village lord Chi huan knew the elder's words were directed at him, if his guards were this sloppy how could he do business with the wind jade sect?

Village lord Chi huan was angry but he did not show it, but stood there quietly staring at his guards.

The guards were also dispirited because they couldn't catch a single young boy, and elder feng ming had act and do their job.

"Get up now boy we have to get moving, hmm?"

As the boy was trying to get up, the elder seized him, putting his palm on the boys head, he felt his head splitting apart because of the excruciating pain, little sparks of lightning struck his body, both his eyes became completely white as blood started gushing from his mouth and nose.

Everyone witnessed the boy's suffering but only stood there watching, not uttering a single word, fearing to disrupt elder feng ming, after about the time it takes to break 3 eggs the elder let go of the boy, and he fell to the ground unconscious,

Elder feng ming looked at his palm and there nothing in it, he looked down at the unconscious young man with a look of disappointment.

«I had thought he might have a talent since he outsmarted the caravan guards, but I guess i expected too much from a mortal»

"All of you what are you waiting for? Pick the boy up and put him in the caravan, do you want the elder to do your job?"

As elder feng ming walked away from the unconscious boy, village lord chi huan's yelling echoed and the caravan guards rushed to pick up the unconscious boy.
