They sat on a different roof now, in a different city, looking at different stars.
But some things were the same.

The silence between them.
The feeling that they had found something rare.
"Are you scared?" she asked.
"Yes."
"Me too."
"But we're together."
"Yes."
"So it's okay."
She leaned her head against his shoulder.
"What happens now?" she asked.
"I don't know."
"Does that bother you?"
He thought about it.
"No," he said. "For the first time in my life... not knowing feels okay."
She smiled.
He couldn't read her mind.
He never would be able to.
But he didn't need to.
Because she was right there.
Beside him.
With him.
And that was enough.
