The front door of the safe house slowly opened.
Two men stepped outside.
One held Sandra tightly by the arm while another man stood behind her, pressing a gun against her side.
"Don't move!" the man shouted.
The police officers immediately turned toward them.
Several guns were raised.
"Surrender" one of the officers commanded.
The man tightened his grip on Sandra.
"Back away from the building."
The police did not move.
"We have a hostage," he warned. "If you want her alive, lower your weapons and give us a clear path."
Sandra looked terrified as she stood between the two men.
The kidnappers had expected the police to panic or state a negotiations. After all the police were there to recus the woman so the officers should prioritize the woman's safety above everything else.
Instead, the officers remained where they were.
"Put down your weapons and surrender!" the officer shouted.
The interrogator frowned.
