My knees felt like jelly and the only thing that stabilised me was my hand clutched to his shirt. The kiss was anything but soft. It was harsh. Unforgiving. Letting me feel exactly what my words had done to him.
But I liked it.
Oddly enough , I kissed him back with all I had. Sparks jolts between us, intense to make my blood ripple from within. Intense enough to make me forgo my internal conflict and drown in the moment . It was unlike anything ive experienced.
Not even with Aric. Not even close.
He finally pulled away, allowing me to take in a much needed air.
" Do you think i am frightened of the two children?". He said breathlessly, his eyes no less intense than it was, seconds ago " Lyra, I am frightened of what the world will do to you once it gets out".
