Chapter 6 - Graveyard

The next morning, I woke up with a rather clear head. The things that happened yesterday have settled down in my heart.

The initial excitement that I felt was gone. Now, I am a bit afraid of this power. If I were even a little careless at that time, I might have gotten my head chopped.

I took a deep breath and got out of bed. Going through my casual morning routine of brushing teeth, taking a shit. I was ready for the brand-new day.

When I entered the dining room, I saw my mom sitting alone at the breakfast table. She was sitting in silence. Looking at her lone figure, I felt sad. But I am not that good at having a chat with people, even more so with her.

"Ricky, why are you standing there? Come, sit," she glanced at me and began serving me breakfast.

I sat down having breakfast in silence with her. After the divorce from my dad, she had been like this. She remarried and tried to move on, but she wasn't doing fine.

"Where is Emi?" I decided to end the silence, knowing that she must still be sleeping.

"She is sleeping in her room," she replied, and that's it, no more words.

I didn't say anything else and finished my breakfast, ready to go out and do some experiments with this system.

As I stepped out of my apartment, I saw a blonde girl standing at Granny Margaret's door. She was also wearing the sunglasses, just like Granny Margaret. While I was getting curious about her relationship with the old hag. The door opened, and Granny Margaret, wearing her striking nightdress, walked out, which almost made me vomit.

I instantly got on my way, as if I hadn't seen anything. I don't know what the hell is wrong with her. Wearing that kind of dress, translucent dresses.

Sigh~

I stepped into the lift, trying to forget that horrible scene from my mind. After taking a few long breaths, I was finally able to get everything out of my head.

Walking out of the building, I took the bus to one of the biggest graveyards in the city. I was sitting in the second-to-last row, enjoying my window seat.

The reason I was going there was simple: after thinking for a while, I thought about using my summoning element on the dead ones; I might be able to turn them into undead. Though summoner and necromancer are different classes, I was able to summon the creature from hell, might as well work with the undead too.

I soon reached my stop, but as I was getting out of the bus, my hand touched one of the passengers' hips. It's not like she made a scene out of it, but the system hit me with a new reward at this moment.

[Congratulations, Host, on touching a lady's ass on the bus. The rewards are being calculated.]

I ignored the system prompt and apologised to the lady before quickly getting off the bus.

Coming out of the bus, I instantly checked the rewards.

[Reward: +3 Physique]

[Perverted Point: +10]

When I saw the result, I wasn't very disappointed because it had cleared lots of my doubts related to how the system works.

I walked into the graveyard, feeling the little change in my body; the little drowsiness I was feeling was completely gone. I didn't feel any big changes in my body, but that doesn't mean those three physical stats weren't worth it. I might not have gotten superhuman strength with those 3 points, but the little improvement was still improvement.

As I walked in the graveyard, I saw a lot of graves. What else could there be? I wandered around for a while, looking for a place where I could perform my summoning.

Luckily, in the depths of the graveyard, where the oldest graves were placed, with names erased by the long river of time. I finally found a place good enough to perform my black magic.

Before I began my ritual, I looked at my mana points, which had increased to 300 after I got the Eyes of Void yesterday.

[Mana: 300/300]

I don't exactly know how much it will cost me, but 200 was enough to summon Mink, so summoning undead should be relatively less consuming. I was working on the basis of the knowledge I got from reading manhwa and web novels. There was no guarantee that it would work out. But the lesson I learned after reading those novels was invaluable for me.

Finally, I gave a last check to the surroundings before trying to summon the dead from their coffins. I let the hellfire burn through my veins, using it as the medium to connect with the dead, while trying to summon the wandering souls from hell.

In this process, my consciousness hadn't fully entered the hell plane. I was between both worlds, trying to create the passage for these souls to resurface in the living world. While experiencing the bone-chilling cold that was almost freezing me from the inside. Only this time was I able to experience this cold because I still had the connection with the real world and my body, unlike when I summoned Mink.

As the medium was formed between the real world and hell plane, I found that it wasn't easy to get the souls out of hell, because they lack the strength to travel between worlds. Despite me using my summoning talent to form the passage between two worlds. It wasn't stable enough for them to crossover.

I was gritting my teeth while standing in the middle of the graves. As if I were getting possessed by some evil spirit. There was no way I could scream or lessen my pain; if I wanted to succeed, this was the price.

With this new problem surfacing, my head was even getting fuzzier as the cold was taking over my body. But at this critical moment, my mind of a reader came into play, as I thought of another crazy way to amplify my summoning.
