Chapter 31 - CEO in the Classroom

"KUYA! ATE! GET UP! I NEED TO GO TO SCHOOL!" Keiran's voice boomed from the hallway, followed by a series of aggressive thumps on our bedroom door.

The sound shattered the perfect, romantic bubble we were floating in. I let out a long, dramatic sigh, my face still squished against Keifer's chest.

"I also need to go to school," I grumbled, my teacher-instincts kicking in. My lesson plans were sitting in my bag

I started to wiggle out of his arms, but I didn't even get three inches. Keifer's arm tightened around my waist like a seatbelt, pulling me right back against him.

"No, you aren't," he muttered, his voice still thick with sleep and that annoying bossy tone.

"Keifer," I scolded, trying to sound firm but failing because, hello, he's warm and I'm lazy. "I've missed two weeks. My principal is probably going to replace me with a robot or something."

"Your leg isn't cured yet," he countered. He didn't even open his eyes. Instead, he leaned in and kissed my earlobe, his stubble grazing my skin and sending a traitorous shiver down my spine.

Gago. He's using his secret weapons again. He knows I have zero willpower when he gets all clingy and sweet like this.

"I can walk! You gave me the green light yesterday!" I protested, though I was basically melting into the mattress.

"Green light for the house, not for a school building full of chaotic teenagers who might bump into you," Keifer said, finally opening one eye to look at me. "You're staying here. Under my supervision."

"KUYA! THE BUS IS GONNA LEAVE ME!" Keiran yelled again, sounding like he was about to break the door down.

I looked at Keifer, then at the door, then back at Keifer's very comfortable chest.

"You're just being a possessive gago," I whispered, even as I snuggled back into the crook of his neck.

"Exactly," he whispered back, a smug little smile forming on his lips. "Now tell Keiran to take the other car. We're busy."

"ATEEEEEE!"

If this is what being a Watson wife is like, I'm going to need a lot more than just heart-shaped pancakes to survive the stress. But looking at Keifer's face... maybe staying in bed for one more day isn't the worst lesson plan I've ever made.

"Wait, Keiran! We will go to school together!" I yelled back at the door, loud enough to drown out Keifer's protests.

Keifer pushed himself up—well, sort of. He was still half-buried in the pillows, looking like a very handsome, very grumpy lion who had just been told his nap was cancelled.

"I told you, you aren't going," Keifer said, his voice dropping into that bossy 'CEO' tone that works on everyone except me.

I rolled my eyes and sat up, ignoring the slight throb in my leg. I looked at him and smirked. "You're coming with me. Since you're clearly not going to the office today anyway, I don't think you'll mind, right?"

He stared at me for a second, his dark hair messy and falling over his forehead. Then, his shoulders slumped. The terrifying Mark Keifer Watson actually started... pouting.

Yup. Pouting. Like a five-year-old who was told the toy store was closed.

"I was planning to sleep here the rest of the day with you," Keifer said, his lower lip almost sticking out. If his business partners saw him right now, stocks would probably plummet out of pure confusion.

Gago. Why is he so cute when he's being difficult?

"We can sleep later, Watson," I said, reaching over to ruffle his hair. "But right now, Keiran needs a ride, and I have a classroom full of kids who probably think I've been abducted by aliens. Now, get up! Or do I have to call your brothers to drag you out?"

KEIFER POV

I looked at her, my heart doing that annoying squeeze again. She was bossing me around in my own bedroom, and the worst part was, I didn't even want to stop her.

"The brothers stay out of this," I grumbled, finally tossing the duvet aside.

I looked at Jay-jay. She was already reaching for her bag, her face lighting up with that 'Teacher Mode' energy. She really missed her students. It irritated me that she wanted to leave this bed, but I knew I couldn't keep her locked away forever.

"Fine," I said, standing up and heading for the closet. "I'm coming. But I'm staying in the car or the faculty room. If I see anyone—student or teacher—bump into that leg of yours, I'm buying the school just so I can fire them."

"Gago! You will not!" she yelled from the bed.

I smirked as I pulled a shirt on. "Try me, Jay. Now hurry up before Keiran kicks the door down."

I walked back to her and gave her a quick, firm kiss on the forehead. "Heart-shaped pancakes are postponed. You're getting a drive-thru breakfast. And you're holding my hand the whole way there."

JAY-JAY POV

Drive-thru breakfast and a possessive billionaire in the faculty room. This is going to be the most chaotic Monday in the history of education.

"Deal," I whispered, smiling as I watched him get ready.

Gago. Truly. My life is a mess, but at least he's my favorite kind of disaster.

After what felt like a military operation just to get out of the house, we were finally in the car. Keigan had already left for college earlier—he's been so busy since last year that I barely see him—so it was just me, the Grumpy King, and Keiran.

Keiran was sitting in the back seat, his arms crossed tightly over his chest, looking like he was being driven to a high-security prison instead of high school.

"Wait... he's coming to our school? Like, inside?" Keiran asked, his voice full of pure horror.

I nodded, trying to hide my amused smile. "Yup. He's my official bodyguard for the day. Medical orders."

"Ate, why do you hate me so much?" Keiran asked, throwing his hands in the air dramatically.

Beside me in the driver's seat, Keifer looked incredibly smug. He adjusted his sunglasses, looking every bit like the billionaire superstar he is. He didn't even look like he was going to a school; he looked like he was about to buy the city.

"I don't hate you, Keiran," I said, reaching back to pat his knee.

"Ate! Every time Kuya comes to our school, it's like a national event is happening!" Keiran groaned, leaning his head back against the seat. "The teachers and the girls—especially the girls—just stare at him like he's some kind of god. I mean, what do they even see in Kuya? He's so grumpy all the time and..."

"And what?" Keifer interrupted, his voice cool and dangerous as he glanced at the rearview mirror.

"And you have the personality of a brick!" Keiran shot back, though he scooted further behind my seat for safety. "Seriously, Ate, the girls at my school are going to be screaming. My reputation is going to be 'the kid who lives with the scary handsome guy.' I'll never get a girlfriend at this rate!"

Gago. I looked at Keifer's sharp profile. Keiran wasn't lying. Even with just a simple shirt and those sunglasses, Keifer looked like he stepped off a magazine cover.

"Don't worry, Keiran," I teased. "If the girls stare too much, I'll just tell them he's my personal assistant. I'll make him carry my lunchbox and everything."

"I am not carrying a pink lunchbox, Jay," Keifer muttered, though I saw the corner of his mouth twitch.

"You will if I tell you to," I whispered, sticking my tongue out at him.

KEIFER POV

I ignored Keiran's whining from the back. He's just annoyed because I pull more focus than his basketball games ever do.

But as we pulled into the school gates, I saw the exact thing he was talking about. Groups of students stopped walking. Girls pointed. Even the security guard straightened his posture when he saw the car.

I didn't care about any of them. I parked the car in the faculty slot and turned to Jay-jay. She was looking out the window, a bit nervous. This was her first day back after the incident, and even though she was acting tough, I knew she was worried about her leg—and the rumors.

"Ready?" I asked, reaching over to take her hand. My thumb traced circles on her skin, grounding her.

"Ready," she whispered.

"Good. Because if any of those 'fans' Keiran mentioned get within five feet of you, I'm putting the school on lockdown," I said seriously.

"Gago!" she laughed, hitting my shoulder.

That was the sound I wanted to hear.

I hopped out of the car, and the moment my feet hit the pavement, I felt a hundred pairs of eyes on me. Whispers started instantly.

"Is that him?""Wait, that's Teacher Jay-jay's husband!""He's even hotter in person!"

I walked around to the passenger side and opened the door for her, offering my hand. I didn't care about the stares or the girls whispering. I just wanted everyone in this building to know exactly who she belonged to.

Keiran climbed out of the back, hiding his face behind his backpack. "I'm going to the cafeteria. Don't look at me!"

I smirked, tucking Jay-jay's arm into mine. "Let's go, Teacher. Keep your eyes on me, not the students."

JAY JAY POV

Walking down the hallway was like being in a parade where I was the sidekick and Keifer was the main float. Every single girl—and honestly, half the faculty—was staring at him. Their eyes were practically bulging out of their heads.

Gago. Can you guys please blink? You're going to get dry eyes.

"Section A... that's my first class. You can sit in the back or the front of the room," I said to Keifer as we reached the door.

Keifer just nodded. He was carrying a slim laptop bag. I knew he'd probably be doing multi-million dollar deals while I was explaining photosynthesis, which he calls "work" but I call "boring."

The moment I stepped into the classroom, the noise level dropped from a chaotic roar to a stunned silence.

"Ma'am Jay! You're finally back!" Jake yelled, being the first to break the ice.

"Morning, everyone," I said, trying to walk as normally as possible to my desk.

But nobody was looking at me. They were all staring at the towering, gorgeous titan walking in behind me. Scarlett, who usually spends the first ten minutes of class fixing her makeup, stopped dead with her mascara wand halfway to her eye.

"Ma'am... who is that man?" she asked, her voice sounding like she had just seen a ghost—or a K-drama lead.

I took a deep breath, trying to keep my face from turning into a strawberry. "Everyone, this is my husband, Keifer. He's here to take care of me since my leg isn't fully recovered yet. But don't worry, he won't create any disturbance... right, Keifer?"

I turned to give him a 'please-be-nice' look.

Keifer didn't even look at the students. He just gave a small, cool nod that made half the girls in the front row gasp.

"Whatever my wife says," he said simply.

Then, with the audacity only a billionaire could have, he walked right over to my teacher's chair and sat down. He opened his laptop, looking completely at home, while my students looked like they were part of a hidden camera prank.

Gago. That's my chair!

"Uh, Keifer... that's where I sit," I whispered, leaning over him.

He looked up, his dark eyes sparkling with that teasing light. "Your leg needs to rest, Jay. You can sit on my lap if you really want the chair."

The whole class went "OOHHHHH!"

My face officially reached boiling point. Jusko! I am never bringing him to work again. Truly.

"Just... stay there and be quiet!" I hissed at him, grabbing a stool from the corner.

I turned back to the class, waving my hands frantically. "Okay! Page ninety-four! Open your books! Now!"

KEIFER POV

I sat in her office wheeled chair and watched her.

She was flustered, her cheeks a brilliant pink, but the moment she started talking her eyes lit up. This was her world. I liked seeing her like this—confident and in charge, even if she was currently sitting on a wooden stool because I'd stolen her seat.

I opened my laptop, but I wasn't really looking at the quarterly reports. I was watching the way the boys in the front row were looking at her. Jake, the one who shouted earlier, was leaning forward a bit too much for my liking.

I felt that familiar tightening in my chest.

I didn't say anything, but I shifted my laptop so the Watson Group logo was clearly visible. I leaned back, letting my presence fill the room. I wanted every person in this room to know that while she was their teacher, she was my Jay-Jay.

"Jake," I said suddenly, my voice cutting through Jay-jay's lecture.

the boy jumped, nearly dropping his pen. "Y-yes, sir?"

"Focus on the board," I said coldly, an effortless smirk on my face. "Not the teacher."

Jay-jay froze, her chalk hovering over the blackboard. She turned around and glared at me. "Keifer! Stop it!"

"I'm just helping them stay focused, Jay," I said innocently.

I could practically hear her thinking it. I just went back to my work, feeling much more satisfied. Being a personal assistant had its perks.
