"Okay, Raviel. I won't kill him 'carelessly.'"
"Don't kill him at all."
Concerned about Edwin's peculiar add-ons, I had to emphasize that. Edwin reluctantly nodded with a pout.
Good. At least Duke Dehart's life was safe for now. Next was to clear up Haven's misunderstanding.
I looked straight at Haven and said, "Haven, be respectful when speaking to my precious brother."
Haven narrowed his eyes at me and Edwin, but both of us confidently met his gaze.
In fact, Haven's 'misunderstanding' might not be so far off. If someone asked me who the craziest person in Philander was, I couldn't confidently say it wasn't Eddy.
