"Find my fucking brother."
Callum didn't look up from the map. "Reid shifted less than an hour ago. Chasing him through the woods with half the pack isn't going to help."."
One of the northern scouts came in, still in his field jacket.
I straightened. "Well?"
"No sign of Reid. We tracked him past the north creek, but then the trail split."
"How does one wolf's trail split?"
"He crossed through an area used by patrols. Too many scents."
"Keep looking."
"Yes, Alpha."
"Just keep eyes on him and call it in."
The scout nodded and left. I looked back at the map.
Reid was somewhere out there. Warwick was somewhere beyond our borders gathering every pissed-off bastard he could find.
Callum picked up two papers from beside him.
"We got replies from Hallows and Ridgeback."
"Finally. How many are they sending?"
He didn't answer and I looked at him. "None. Both packs are standing down."
I stared at him. "Standing down from what?"
"The coalition."
