Chapter 12 - CHAPTER 12: The Hunter Above Hunters

Night fell slowly.

The city remained alive.

But beneath the noise—

Something was lurking.

Arka stood in the middle of a silent alley.

The bodies of the previous attackers lay scattered around him.

Still.

Unmoving.

"…Weak."

He let out a quiet breath.

[Blood Predator – Deactivated]

The dark aura around him slowly faded.

But then—

[Warning]High-Level Threat Approaching

Arka paused.

For the first time—

His system issued a warning like that.

"…Oh?"

A faint smile appeared on his face.

"…Finally."

TAP… TAP… TAP…

Footsteps echoed.

Slow.

Calm.

Unhurried.

A man appeared from the end of the alley.

Tall.

Composed.

His eyes were sharp—

Yet completely emotionless.

"…So you're Arka."

Arka looked at him.

"…And you are?"

The man stopped.

"…Someone assigned to make sure you end here."

Silence.

Then—

Arka chuckled.

"…Everyone says that."

The wind blew softly.

But—

The pressure in the air changed.

Heavy.

Dangerous.

[Skill Detected]Domain Pressure

The ground beneath them began to crack.

The air felt heavier.

As if gravity itself had increased.

Arka raised an eyebrow slightly.

"…Not bad."

Without warning—

The man vanished.

WUSH!!

And appeared right in front of Arka.

BOOM!!

A punch landed directly.

Arka was sent flying—

Crashing into the wall.

CRACK!!

Dust scattered everywhere.

"…Fast."

Arka stepped out from the debris.

Uninjured.

But—

His eyes had changed.

Serious.

"…Finally, someone interesting."

The man didn't respond.

He simply stood there—

Calm.

As if that attack—

Meant nothing.

WUSH!!

This time—

Arka moved first.

Faster.

Sharper.

SLASH!!

His attack—

Was blocked.

With one hand.

"…That's it?"

Silence.

For the first time—

Arka was surprised.

Just a little.

BOOM!!

A counterattack followed.

Heavier.

More brutal.

Arka was pushed back.

[Warning]Damage Threshold Approaching

"…Heh."

Arka grinned.

[Blood Predator – Active]

A dark aura exploded outward.

Denser than before.

Heavier.

"Now…"

Arka lifted his head.

His eyes gleamed.

"…it begins."

For the first time—

The man smiled.

Faintly.

"…Good."

The pressure intensified.

The ground cracked.

The air trembled.

Two monsters stood facing each other.

One—

Who breaks all limits.

One—

Who already stands at the top.

And that night—

The city bore witness—

To a battle—

Between a hunter—

And the hunter above hunters.
