He was standing alone as the strong wind rushed into his eyes, he was trying to stand upright but there were chains that were holding him as a scary figure with no face except a huge mouth started to run toward him. His heart beat started to race but suddenly an adult woman started to shake him.
"Wake up Zack, it's 12 o'clock already," the woman said.
Zack breathed heavily and stood up from his bed and drank some water that was on his study table, thinking about the events that took place in his nightmare. The truth was that his psychology had been affected because of his father's death last month, which caused depression and nightmares.
"Are you alright?" the woman asked.
"Yeah, I'm—I'm alright. Is breakfast ready, mom?"
"Yeah, it's on your side table if you watch closely, to be honest."
"Oh, I see."
There was a plate containing toasted bread and eggs and a glass with orange juice. He grabbed the juice and drank it in one go and started to eat it.
"I'm going downstairs, I have got to feed your cat. Seriously Zack, you should take care of it too. Firstly, you asked for it so much and when we bought it you are not even being serious for it," said his mother.
"Don't worry, I'm going to feed it today, you should go and rest."
"Thank God you are caring about something, well just finish eating then do what you got to do."
Zack nodded as his mother got out of his room. After he finished eating, he got out of his room and got downstairs looking for his cat. After looking for a while, he found his cat beside the sofa and started to walk toward it. His cat purred and came close to Zack. Zack scratched his cat a bit and then gave it boiled chicken that his mother had put on the kitchen shelf. The cat started to eat the chicken as Zack sat close to it.
"I never thought taking care of a cat would be this much of a headache," Zack thought.
After his cat ate the boiled chicken, it sat on the window, which Zack had opened unconsciously after seeing the cat sit there. His cat got out of his house and started to run.
"Shit! Now I've got to run after it," Zack thought as he got out of his house and started chasing his cat. Outside was a sunny day and people were talking about a war that had been happening since last month. After greeting some people, he ran as fast as he could.
After running for 10 minutes continuously, his stamina started to drain as his cat entered a junkyard. Zack slowed down and saw his cat sitting on a weird wheel-type machine in the depths of the junkyard. He walked towards his cat and said, "Now, c'mon, why are you wasting my time? I've got my biology test tomorrow."
His cat sat down and didn't look like it wanted to be disturbed from where it was sitting. Zack saw the machine and started to feel curious towards it. On the machine was written: "I'm sorry my Lord but I have to do it otherwise the world won't be like it is."
Seeing this Zack felt even more curious and made his cat get off the machine. Zack saw a paper that was happening to be where his cat was previously sitting. On it was written: rotate the wheel clockwise 4 times and anti-clockwise 2 times like a clock's hand rotate complete 24 hours, then hold the 3rd block while pressing the 2nd block from respect to the right side of the wheel. Zack was lifting his hand to do as the page said but he thought, "What if it is a bomb or something that can cause huge harm? Someone has engraved an apology letter on it too, it carries too much of a risk, but hehehe, the greater the risk the greater the reward, if I don't open it I'm going to regret it sooner or later." And he did as the page said. Firstly, he rotated the wheel clockwise 4 times then anti-clockwise 2 times like a clock's hand rotate complete 24 hours, then held the 3rd block while pressing the 2nd block from respect to the right side of the wheel.
Suddenly, a golden light came out of the machine and sucked Zack inside. And the machine appeared out of view too. His cat got confused too and looked around thinking where its owner might have gone but soon started to walk as if nothing had happened.
On the other side, Zack felt as if time and space have started to work backwards. He felt as if he had been sucked into a tight pipe that is drastically changing his age as well as the space and time around him. Zack felt immense pain in his body and the only thing that was in his mind was that what is happening to him is definitely not normal. Blood came out of his nose, ears and even his mouth. This much pain wanted him to scream but because of this suction force he was even powerless to scream. Soon his pain ended and he felt his body become smaller and his memories to vanish. After some time he had lost all his memories and started crying in someone's hands. The machine he had used had caused him to reborn 4000 years in the past!.
